*A MESSAGE FROM DR. E:* It was literally life-changing to cover this... I spent probably over 25 hours the past 4 days transcribing and learning the song. It definitely pushed me as a guitarist more than any other cover I've done. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't play it all in one take with no mistakes. In the wise words of Snoopy " NOPE." I'm doing my best to refine my content and I think they might be helpful to those trying to learn the song. For me, what makes JBs riffs so hard is the string skips. Palm muting the low string to the high string fast is so difficult to get accurate. It's a bigger gap than what my picking hand is used to. He has absolutely mastered it and does it in almost every song. I think it's actually what gives ABR their unique sound. I've never seen another guitarist do it. Great job though man and thanks for the tab 👍 🤘

Buddy, this is fantastic. Thank you, this really helped me learn that sick lead at the end. I really appreciate how much time you put into learning this track. I want to note, I believe the rhythm section is playing in Drop A. Or maybe they're playing on 7 strings tuned differently.
Thank you! I'm really glad it helped :) The lowest note I hear them play is B. If you go to 2:25 in the music video, you'll see a slo-mo of an open string playing, and also that the guitar is a 6-string
@@ethanfennellmy guy, you put in way more work than me sitting here with a tuner, so I don't mean to belittle you. I'm referring to the rhythm guitar/bass here at 3:11 on the original track. My tuner says A, power chord. Then they switch to E. If I had to guess from noodling briefly, the lead is playing in Cm/A. Perhaps the lead never gets that low, I was only referring to the rhythm section.
@@pyroisfat Ah, you're right about the rhythm playing an A there. The rest of the song up to that point is Drop B or Standard B, I'm confident of that. My guess is they're playing an A power chord with the 5th as the lowest note to make it sound lower, so 5th fret of 6th string, and 3rd fret of 5th (in drop B… slightly different for Standard B) Alternatively, they change tunings mid-song
