Sorry Nick but no "drop" tuning (as in tuned so the three lowest strings form a single fret power chord) can be the best when the double drop version is always superior (for double drop d you'd also drop the high e to d).
If the last several singles he released weren't obvious enough for you, Nik is STILL an absolute monster of a musician. The fact that he isn't at 1m subs yet is CRIMINAL.

Not only are the riffs sick, but that OTTO Audio 1111 absolutely does the damn thing right. Such a good VST and honestly I don't see anyone not being able to get a great tone out of it.
I fully agree that drop C/d standard is the best tuning. its heavy enough to be distinct from drop d/e standard, but not so low that many amps and pedals struggle with the frequency. Also it gives the most satisfying resonance and chugs with good string tension.
Hell yeah. Seen them 3 times over the years, in 2008 and 2013 and then in 2014 on the malice x tour with the og lineup (we got lucky and got to see a mini 7 angels 7 plagues reunion for a couple tracks too) they deserve every bit of praise they get and a lot that they don't as well. Bands like counterparts, defeater, Napoleon etc. probably wouldn't sound the same without mis sigs paving the way

It would've been so much easier for you to add little gaps in between riffs but you didn't.
