Back in the heyday of pipe smoking 40's, 50's, and 60's, young men as well as old smoked pipes. Unfortunately, we won't ever go back to the times, but I have heard that more younger people are starting to take up the hobby now and leave cigarettes, so there's still hope.

I just discovered your channel. I've recently started pipe smoking but have always been interested in it. I imagine I'm about your age. Woodlands are my favourite environment to be in. I also see the screen zombies and think it's a terrible waste of life. Subscribed!

Benjamin, you have to be the most laid back presenter I've followed 👍That shows what truly enjoying a pipe can do for you. It's sad really that so many people are focused solely on their phones. I'm a urban-suburban dweller so I don't have woodlands in which to take my dogs for a walk, but I never have my phone out when I'm out with them. I see so many people with their phones stuck to an ear or staring, head down at their phone. What a missed opportunity to just listen to the world while you are out and to share moments here and their with your dog (I'd guess that most of those phone focused people are just as focused when they are in their homes). It's a shame that some people still think of pipe smokers as 'old men', but gradually that is changing as more young men are discovering (rediscovering?) the pipe. Maybe it results from developing a greater sense of enjoyment and respect for the out of doors, but for whatever the reason, some young guys (and gals) are finding that smoking a pipe seems more in harmony with nature than other forms of tobacco use. Hello, im trying to get off cigarettes and smoke a pipe. Do you have any advice in making the switch? Also how many pipe bowls do people smoke a day? Just for a rough idea.

Thank you for your questions and good to hear you're thinking about making the switch from cigarettes to pipe smoking. I have never been a cigarette smoker myself but have known of people making the switch. my tips are to buy some sample blends of pipe tobacco, to see what you enjoy. Get ribbon cut, not flake due to being easier to prepare. You can smoke however many bowls you wish, but you will need more pipes to do this, as pipes need to be rotated when using. One pipe for one day, if that makes sense. I will make a video on this. Hope this helps you and all the best with your pipe journey 🔥
