- Upgrade Your Outlets and Switches! (Fittes (Aria Vent) Drywall Receptacle Mount) We'll show you exactly how you can easily install Fittes (Aria Vent) flush Drywall Receptacle Mount!
It's time to upgrade that wall of yours (again)- and this time, that means wall plate integration! Ditch those old surface mount switches and outlets and opt for a more modern alternative: flush-mount drywall receptacles. Integrate anything that fits into a standard electrical box straight into your wall with these metal drywall mounts, and instantly improve the look of any room.
A few important things to note: Your outlet box needs to be installed FLUSH TO THE STUDS for these plates to work. Also, if you opt for a screwless wall plate, Fittes (Aria Vent) has a list of recommended models that are guaranteed to work well (including Leviton, Lutron, Eaton).
If you're up for the challenge, and a massive upgrade, take a look at the link we've posted below and let us know what you think in the comments below!

exactly what I have always wanted. MORE taping, MORE muding, MORE sanding.
Then flush outlets aren’t for you ;)
A 3/16th bulge around every outlet? The hell?
"Receptacle receiver or whatever the f**k the things called" 😂 😂 😂 😂
😂 😉
Pushing the definition of the term "flush" here... it's more recessed in my opinion. I prefer the look of the TruFig mounts personally, which truly are flush!
I agree. The trufig's are amazing, but they are also like $400 per receptacle. Imagine spending about $20k just in electrical receptacles to do your whole house.
Trufig is expensive.
I love the final look of it, but it's a lot of extra work for every outlet throughout a house.
I can see these being popular with DIY'ers, but not with contractors that want to plough through a gig as quickly as possible.
great point 👍
I mean if your remodeling old work it’s gonna be really fun with the existing boxes having to be recessed… Bonus points extra aggravation if ya have 4 square and mud rings back there. Appreciate ya making this so if I run into a customer that wants this I’ll know to run away 😂
I’m just gonna put : All cutting, patching, sanding and painting by others in my quote. 👍
This is awesome! Thank you for sharing us and bring it to our attention
Always happy to help 😎👍
They should make one where you can install as new work installation
Some of the Lutron faceless plates can be tough to remove. Let's see someone remove that plate without screwing up the wall. Real bright.
You guys are so good with drywall work
👍👊
i seen it all now!!! lol
totally ....i can see the handprints on the wall already
Sooo, it’s metal attached to an electrical box and it’s not grounded? Grounding it sounds stupid, but, what are we doing, here?
Love the video, but I was wondering if you set box back and not flush with the drywall, that would be against code. Wouldn’t it?
the vents are sick but i do not understand the outlets and switches. it doesn't make the room look any better imo
Totally fair 👍 Thanks for watching
What outlet covers are you using, the ones I got have a larger gap
I like the idea, but it's a tad too deep IMO.... most desirable outcome should be coplanar when installed. Having a small inset lip now, looks *almost* as bad as the original plate on the wall did (to me personally)
This is the wrong plate… we just filmed a follow up video coming soon. It should be flush!
you still end up with a hump around the switch, they really should make it flush, like tru fig does
looks cool until the dust and dirt builds up then it needs to be cleaned with a q-tip
valid point 👍
Nice!
thanks!
These are great!! Thanks for the video and good luck finding what's wrong with your light!!! hahahaha
Thanks! 😂😂
Which Lutron screwless switch plate is that?
The wall plate doesn’t seem to be easy to be taken off. You did a good job on installation.
Thanks! You’re not wrong, these screw-less plates can be tricky to remove (especially when recessed like this). We’ve found a credit card very useful for this 👍
This would not work like you show with an existing box that was installed correctly! The box should be installed flush with the surface and would have to be moved for this mount to work.
A lot of work for a metal box, and I wonder in a year or two how much dust will collect on it
Suppose it depends how dusty your room is 😉 .
@@RefreshHomeImprovements 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣
I'm wondering if you have a link to any video that would help me setback my outlet box.
That part is really tough after it’s already installed
Gotcha. Thanks for the note. That's my current issue with it.
Seriously? All that work and mess when you can just buy a Lutron screwless cover. BTW, u did great job on drywall work.
The Lutron’s are pretty nice 👍
Think new construction, not just remodel work. Would be pretty easy to mud in all around and it'd look pretty slick
But that Lutron won't be flush with the wall.
@@WheretheJones neither is this. Its sitting too far in. Look at all the shadow that casts. Not a clean look. I think Smoothline and one other company(much cheaper) do make a flush version.
A screwless cover doesn't look like this end result at all. That makes no sense.
However I agree, it's a lot of work for a result that isn't particularly impressive
The final result is recessed and not flush.
I wish if only the buttons can only appear on the wall, it’d be dope!
you might be on to something there 😎!
these are really cool! Also they look like they would work great for mounting the Samsung frame TV as flush as possible if you already have existing outlets where you want to mount the TV
great idea, we totally agree 👍
Do you have a picture with the wall painted after installation?
Great question. Unfortunately, this was just a demonstration wall (we didn’t finish it beyond what you see in this video).
I’m here because of Tiktok #JustSaying
You guys do awesome work 👍🏼
That’s awesome! Happy to have you on the team 👍
He’s cute AND hilarious 😂…but I wonder how this compares in terms of price with tru-fig receptacles?? 🤔🤔
The product looks amazing guys. Flush receptacle in the way looks definitely like the future! However the recessed metal cover is what gets me. if you could incorporate it to where drywall tape was on the outside I think that would solve your problem. Looks amazing if you ask me. ❤
Appreciate the input! We’ve tested some other versions as well, check out this more seamless version here 👉 Upgrade Your Wallplates! (Flush Outlet Covers)

This is a great product!! Said nobody ever
Why? They don't even look better than regular ones.
I bet the tile guys hate having to trim around this thing.
Looks too far in, its not flush...Hmmm..?
Good eye 👍. You’re correct, this particular plate cover combo sits slightly sub-flush. The system works with a couple of different plate covers (listed on their website)
The plate looks better. Those corners will get chipped and look like crap shortly
I like the look, but way too much extra work.
Those who use Ryobi at the job site were previously drug addicts
I have eight of these plates if someone wants to pay $15 each
Wish it didn’t take it so long….
That looks so bad lmao
THIS IS STUPID, ALL THE WORK FOR A RESSECED LIGHTSWITCH COVER.
These don't look good
That looks like a screw up and more work to get it like that. 😆 The painted edges around the switch are going to wear and get dirty from hands sliding across them to find the recess switch. Nothing good about this design in my opinion.
