    While we say goodbye to ash, we also must say goodbye to those who are no longer with us who followed ash's journey along the way. They never got to see the end like we did. To those who did not make it, it is finally over for Ash.

      Yes but it’s a gentle way of saying goodbye to Ash because he’s no longer going to be the protagonist all the first gen Pokémon and the nostalgia was definitely a thank you and also to a lot of fans that hadn’t watched Pokémon over the years (like myself) would watch this to say goodbye.

    • @CodeguruX
      @CodeguruX Год назад +31

      Except, it's not. He's canonically out there doing shit. And, I quite frankly don't care for another protagonist. But, again, who cares. I probably would have watched more of the new episodes if I had known it was supposed to be a continuation of the actual storyline, and they finally dropped all the other bullshit add in characters, going back to Ash, Misty, and Brock. But, they already pissed me off firing all the English voice actors decades ago. I'll watch episodes with Tracy in it, maybe. But they broke the cardinal rules. You don't just reshuffle the entire cast, and you don't recast actors.
      The only Batman games I ever played are the ones where Kevin Conroy and Mark Hammil were both in it. And when Mark Hammil was done with Joker, I was done with the games. Of course Conroy is a dead bitch now, so I'm just done with Batman in general.
      I think the only time I let it slide is when they replaced War Machine with Don Cheadle instead of "Some black dude". But RDJ's performance as Iron Man just kept me coming back. And when he stopped, the MCU died. As it should.

    It’s amazing to see and to know that Ash is more than just on a journey to participating in Pokémon leagues and hopefully becoming champion in any of the leagues. It’s about being on an adventure and meeting and befriending Pokémon and even other trainers and all. For Ash, it’s not about being champion; it’s about adventure, which is a the real journey and the real key to becoming a Pokémon Master, even after becoming the champion of Galar. So, in a way, from what we hear, the journey’s not over; it continues. We may not hear from Ash on a frequent basis, but occasionally we will. But even so, the journey continues.

      @Wyvern Of Strength not sure how old you are but honestly a lot of people commenting I would assume are 20-30 years old and pokemon was an integral part of are childhoods. Where as most of us got away from it as we grew up I think there is a natural human desire to hold onto our childhood. It's sorta the end of an Era and the end of something that gave so many of us so much joy as kids in that sense it's losing something that is close to many peoples hearts. I think thats why so many people are sad not so much because of ash himself but because in a way for many of us now adults it's the end of a journey also.

    I loved the first season and the first games (Red & Blue) so much growing up. They helped me get through some tough things like bullying and the breakdown of my family, I'd just immerse myself in everything Pokemon and Dragon Ball to survive. I watched/played as much as I could since.
    I have two kids now myself and they have loved the games and cartoons themselves, I got to share that with them, but they'll never know how franchises like this saved me, as silly as it may sound to others. I got to collect them all every gen to distract myself. The character of Ash felt annoying at times, but I related. I just always seemed to fumble through life. His story ending on a high makes me feel like I can achieve higher with my time left than I already have.

    I think most millennial adults have their own timeline when they end their Pokemon journey with Ash. For me, Ash' journey ended a long time ago in the Gen 3 series. That was the end for me. I just suddenly stopped altogether watching the series, collecting the cards, and playing GBA games. After that, I became so preoccupied with the realities of life: university, work, and adulting. At the time, it felt so bittersweet. Like that ending in Toy Story 3. Letting go of the child in me. Watching this ending, even though I haven't been with Ash in the generations after 3, it feels so nostalgic. Nostalgic about the safe space and time I had as a child and teenager. I'm sad but also glad that Ash' journey finally came to an end. Thank you for the memories ❤

  • @saretta8983
    @saretta8983 2 месяца назад +1

    I think at some point of the story they betrayed the real core of Pokemon journey. Ash started his adventure to become a pokemon master. In order to become one he needed to win medals fighting with masters during the journey through several cities and regions. That was the spirit of the show! The championship was introduced later, when the producers started to sell this brand more like a collecting game more than as an anime. I was 6 when this adventure began and still after 26 years I've not seen Ash to realise his dream. The truth is that the kids don't even know about those days when pokemon was a an innovative story, different from everything that had come before, above all full of emotions. For us who are the first generation, Pokemon were a source of love first. As a child, I cried when Ash let go of one of his pokemon, and I especially loved the friendship between Ash and Pikachu. Who wasn't in love with Pikachu? Children are different now, they don't let themselves be moved by those things and Pokemon are mostly a collectible phenomenon to be able to say "this one is stronger than another..." They no longer dream with the imagination of entering that fantasy world, they want to know who is stronger to win a battle...
    This is not the end Ash and Pikachu deserved. Rather than remain a trend for children, I would have preferred that over 26 years the characters matured and grew, until the moment in which Ash would be become a Pokemon master. This end is not even an end.
