  • Don't get a VA Panel if you can help it. If all you care about are black levels, maybe the Samsung is for you, but with a two monitor set up, it's not ideal in the least. Also, unfortunately for Samsung, the LG UltraGear 32" sits right next to it. And is way better.

      I've been rocking the Dell S3220DGF since 2020. It's 32", 1440p, 165hz, VA panel. I would have to see IPS because i've been and still am super content with this panel. Honestly, i think it even vompares to OLED when the room is dark and it's calibrate properly the way mine is. I will personally skip OLED and either go for mini/ micro led, VA and check out IPS.

    Im a bit confused. I have this monitor and I find it amazing. No issue with viewing angles also because it’s a curved monitor and you are supposed to be seated in front of it.
    I do agree that HDR in desktop is garbage but that’s supposed to be used with games, where it really shines.

    It’s a deep curved screen; viewing angle is not even relevant. You can only sit in the center of a curved screen. The VA contrast beats all those IPS displays with washed-out blacks and light bleed.

    I went with the Acer Predator X32 FP instead of the Samsung, I did try both the Neo G8 and G7, I hated the Curve and each one had dead pixels along with weird spots on the screens. No issues with my Predator monitor though, That LG display is great too, I just wanted something that has better HDR, Which is why I chose the Acer to hold me over until more displays come out. I have a feeling we'll see even better displays next year.

    I bought a Philips 275M8 2k 144Hz monitor with a VA panel that had decent reviews online at the time.
    Worst monitor I ever bought. I managed to bring it back and get a full refund from the store.
    It was mostly fine on the desktop but as soon as you loaded a FPS game, the colours were really bad. Minecraft was especially noticeable with brown wood turning red when you moved around.
    I won't buy a VA panel ever again. I've currently got an AOC 27" IPS 2k 170Hz monitor that really impressed me when I first turned it on.

      Just go for this. Only weird thing you will have to get used to is the aggressive curve and you will have to get lucky with the individual panel (same with any monitor) for Blooming. Some units have had scan line issues too, but you can always replace your unit if it does have those issues.

  • @insertnamehere4419
    @insertnamehere4419 4 месяца назад +6

    "va monitors...why?" uh because the "smear" and "ghosting" is a overblown issue, and has way better contrast and response. I had no issues with the G7 1440p and have no issues with the neo g7 4k. And viewing angles are a non issue.

    1. Imagine thinking a curved monitor means you can game from the side. Since when does ANYBODY view a monitor from the side, especially a curved monitor?
    2. You pull up the LG monitor towards the end of the video and show it fully lit up, whereas the Samsung has a black background. This did nothing but show one at full brightness and one at a dim brightness.
    3. Just because IPS exists, doesn’t mean it’s superior. OLED exists too and is WAY better. But, VA isn’t bad. I’ve used it before and I’ve NEVER had any complaints about it because, surprise, I sit in the center.

    • @itsdanielpaul
      @itsdanielpaul  7 месяцев назад

      As I mentioned in the review it’s probably not the best choice for a dual monitor setup and the sweet spot was verrrry small. Even when I pulled it to the center and looked right at it I preferred the LG. The Samsung looked like a foggy pond with HDR on, probably a manufacturers defect but one that is mentioned A LOT with that panel.

    • @AllOutNoobHater
      @AllOutNoobHater 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@itsdanielpaul I’ve not seen that with multiple testings performed. Even rtings said it was good for HDR. Also, NOBODY is buying a curved monitor to use in a dual monitor setup. That’s just stupid. If this panel was flat, and you have two monitors, then it would be perfectly fine as the center monitor or the side monitor.
      You’re misunderstanding multiple use cases. Curved is meant to be used in the middle or as the main monitor.

      If you wanted a two monitor set-up why didn't you just get the flat version??
