BMW E39 530d - Reading and clearing engine fault codes using INPA

As the title suggests. Just a short clip showing you how to read and clear the engine diagnostic/fault codes using INPA.
I do believe that whilst using this program is it a very similar process across most of the bmw range.

what's this program? How to connect the laptop to the car? does it work for Mac?

It's called INPA, search for it, you'll come across some forum posts about where to get it with installation instructions.
I doubt it will run on a Mac, You also need to connect the laptop to the car with an OBD cable, the ones with the right pin out for BMWs are available on Ebay for roughly £20
