CITY OF THE FUTURE - DID YOU SAY ? Ordinary folks hardly visit MBS ! They can't afford . Singapore, my home , is already a cosmopolitan city . Hopefully the influx of East Asians will not tarnish its image .
I loved visiting Singapore. First place I went after the pandemic ended. The Hawker centre's food was amazing. Favourite was the Oyster fritters at the Chinatown Hawker centre. Also the transport by train is so cheap. Loved the two domes on the water front. Jacinda had opened a new exhibit in the one with the man made waterfall prior to my arrival.
Esta ciudad es super limpia y Moderna. Me encanta. No hay tiroteos como en EEUU, o drogadictos como en El occidental, o gente borrachos o sin Hogar. Hay que ser rico para vivir en Singapore 🇸🇬.

My first authentic Gucci shirt back in the day was from Singapore. I also learned about chewing gum in Singapore and Durian fruit. Time flies! Cool episode.

Couple of decades ago, Singapore was so poor like Dubai. That there were slums everywhere!!! Singapore PM transformed it into a beautiful country with skyscrapers and brought a change!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍.

A combination of Modern Architecture surrounded by old British 🇬🇧 colonial buildings with lush foliage on the skyscrapers. Very westernized and contemporary yet still preserve the old rustic looks of old village settings. The price of accommodation and food tends to be on the pricey side if you dine on a mostly touristy flank. Go to hawker centers for cheaper options in Singapore 🇸🇬. There is plenty of it here and to approximate is beyond comparison. Singapore 🇸🇬 is where the East meets the West.

Singapore had role to play in India's independence. Indian National Army was formed in 1942 under Rash Behari Bose by Indian POWs of the British Indian Army captured by Japan in the Malayan campaign and at Singapore. Rash Behari handed over INA to great Subhas Chandra Bose. he set up provisional government for free India in Singapore. then started the war of indian independence from the British. it was one of the most Epic battle with very little help from the Japanese. after Japan surrender at the end of world war 2 the battle of INA also ended and the soldiers were captured by British army. Brits decided to conduct a public trial on 3 commanders of Ina-Dhillon, Sahgal, Khan. as the news of Netaji with his Army fought against the British spread the entire British Indian Navy revolted in 1946. because of this already weakened British army because of WW2 could not hold onto India and they left in 1947. in 1956 when British pm Clement Attlee came to India then Bengal Governor asked him why British leave India. to which Attlee replied that the role played by Netaji army was paramount for India's Independence.

That’s right. Can you imagine that the same day we arrived Jacinda had also come through the airport to do the inauguration. It was so cool!
