If we are talking about streamers that do bath tub streams and sexual content I think its expected that these people would have lots of weirdos, but women that focus less on sexualizing themselves will still have weirdos but much less to the point that I think there overall community probably overshadows them.

the idea is that viewers become aggressive about him playing GTA and not variety, he doesn't do the heists the way they want him to, etc. The problem here is that women will also get criticism for playing certain games, viewers get mad they don't do what they want them to + being told they're stup*d dumb sl*ts, that girls shouldn't play these games, calling them stupid for being women - an extra layer of hatred focused on the fact that they are female.
That's not to discount what x has gone through because honestly the hate he got in May and June was really hard to watch when he was simply doing what he enjoys (isn't that why we watch his streams at all?). It really was unfair and its a credit to him being able to keep going thru all that hatred. what he was saying was true, but it was completely disconnected from the topic that they were talking about. they were talking about the fact that top female streamers like pokimane are quite a bit under the top streamers like x, like train, like asmon in average watch time.
and they stream less, which is why. not because they are women, because taking pokimane as an example. streams over 4 times less than x, train, asmon. it has nothing to do with "you get more bullshit" it has to do with "you do not put in the same amount of hours, therefor you get less watchtime on average during your streams"

Trains Data is wrong, top 10 male streamers have 204 average hours per month, while top 10 females have 205 hours average. So it's NOT 400 for male or 100 FOR FEMALE. (Rating based on average viewer count)
Idk why Train did that, but only plausible reason for 400 hrs for males are that he used channels like ESL_CSGO and some subathon streamers which is just plain stupid.

@@nathanoneill2362 yea, my thinking is something along those lines. If there’s a will there’s absolutely a way. Motivation has to play a big part in this, which I think stems from most streamers defaulting to gaming or chatting, though that’s just a guess. There’s a lot of factors that could play into it, but at the end of the day it really comes down to how much one enjoys streaming and how they prevent burnout. Going off the motivation theory, I’d assume the best way to prevent burnout and increase hours is to stream your passion, but if we take viewership into account, it may become easy to diverge from passion and go back into the meta, reimbursing the burnout.
@L Yeah find someone calling her those names that isn't almost instantly perma banned. She has a lot of no tolerance mods both on discord and twitch. You will get banned for even the smallest jokes. And xQc isn't just called a dumbass. if you think that's all it is you haven't watched enough live. Plus the volume of his abuse is 100x Poki's. So even if the content of Poki's abuse is worse, OVERALL she still gets the better deal. Especially because its pretty hard to be banned in xQc's chat.
Anytime someone questions why I enjoy watching you, moments like this when you explain to chat about the hours streamed thing is one of the reasons. Not only do you not allow majority opinion to stop you from stating yours but you're also very well educated in a lot of these similar topics, you just find it difficult to explain but we understand :') xqcL

For some reason he has this outside perception that he's toxic or an idiot but he's quite intelligent and very articulate as someone who speaks English as his second language (he tries really hard to get his point across as clearly as possible). The issue with XQC's take on women on Twitch not wanting to stream long hours due to the culture of Twitch, is that statistics like this exist in pretty much every work field where men and women exist together. Men just generally grind more than women do, because most women are not on board with the idea of spending their lives at work, whereas men are more willing to make that sacrifice. Men and women have different values, because we're not the same, it's not rocket science.
If people have a problem with the statement "men generally work harder", I think they're too invested in the idea men and women are competing with one another.
Also the whole women facing harassment for being women in voice chat bit.... man all I could think of was all the times XQC himself was weird with women.

So why don't more women do 24+ streams at the same rate than men? While it possibly could be proven in nature or biology somehow or way, we do know that men are more likely to work overtime, take less breaks, and ask for promotions more than woman

About xqc's point at around 11:00. Women do get more hate comments, but they also get more nice comments, You wouldn't see a comment like "You look very pretty today" very often in a man's chat, but if a female streamer has a few k viewers there's probably gonna be comments like these constantly. The nice comments obviously dont cancel out the mean comments but if it was just a matter of chat they wouldnt be stream +/- 300 hours less than men.

What Train was saying is a perfect representation of how people misuse statistics.
1. No one in the top 50 streamers is even close to 400 hours streamed in the past month so that number is so far off. Train himself is at 228 at the time I am seeing this.
2. Out of the top 50 streamers, I got the average time streamed for women at 114 average out of 7. I got 89 hours averaged for men out of 42. Obviously these sample sizes are skewed but the fact that the top 42 fastest growing male streamers averaged that low shows just how far off Train was.
This is all just another example of people pulling stats out of their ass to try to win arguments without realizing the harm they'll cause with their words.

Yes there are minecraft streamers in the top 50. There are also minecraft streamers all over twitch. Doesn't seem like cherrypicking which games to use.
These stats weren't a fair comparison for woman to men, that's why I posted the sample size. My only point was to highlight how ridiculously off the male numbers he gave were. I only put the woman number there because I knew people would ask for them if I didn't.
I am using the top 50 streamers because using all of twitch wouldn't make sense since most people can't stream full time. The numbers would be much lower if I did.

I think you are misusing statistics hard. Because some of the "top" streamers are the minecrafters that go live once every month for 5 hours. Literally 20 in the top 50 are those minecrafters. Train also said the average on twitch not the average from the top 50.

Train actually making a good point. You don’t just compare raw data, you look at them within a context if you want to learn anything meaningful.
Unfortunately most hacks stop the effort as soon as a single bit of evidence is found that confirms their a priori conclusion.
I get what he was trying to say but in the end all that does is justify why they stream less and why there aren’t more women at the top of twitch. I understand why nobody would want to stream 10 hours plus under the circumstances women have to face on twitch and I wouldn’t fault anyone for not wanting to stream that much under said circumstances but less hours streamed results in lower numbers period.
it's because on average women don't want to strive for the top as much as men do. they are also less entertaining to men that is, because the viewer base is mostly men.

Women on twitch are consistently made fun of and ostracised just for being female. Twitch as a whole has been male dominated and oriented from the beginning - the sphere is unwelcoming to women. It’s got nothing to do with work ethic or being lazy. There is no evidence to suggest it’s related to this.
People will rant about streamers (like Amouranth, for example) doing well for being female, while neglecting to mention all the abuse she gets from other people online.
