That pinkhaired dude is problematic to say the least, wrong take every clip. Gatekeeping RP while being shit at it himself, enforcing dangerous irl stereotypes somehow linking that to a virtual island, the one place where it doesn't play a big role at all, like it should irl.
I know he's trying to be considerate, there's good intentions, I'm sure. But it's exactly those people who are constantly obsessing about race and skincolor that are making it more of a problem than it has to be.
His intentions don't seem good at all he just seems to be projecting his own thoughts on the case making it the most extreme thing every time. Hes the type of person who makes words like facist meaningless.
Yeah I agree. You're completely right, he is projecting. Just because he seems to be obsessed with skincolor makes him believe everyone looks at it the way he does. People like him are worried there's people around with bad intentions, unlike him and his "superior morals". But he's still focused on skincolor nonetheless.
However, he doesn't have any malicious intent towards black people. It's the exact opposite, he's overly protective of them. That, in combination with not being well informed about crime statistics at all, makes his behaviour problematic.
My point being, there are good intentions in people like him, but they take it to an extreme that is quite racist in and of itself. And that is in my experience more common than actual racism with malicious intent.
I hope this makes sense. Like most, I hate talking about this. I could elaborate for hours, but this is long enough for now lol

I don't wanna be a gamecomplainer but it's just really annoying that he only plays RP nowadays. I personally really don't like watching RP because I've watched him play it for over 200 hours and it's gotten really repetitive. People will just come and say "well don't watch him then", it's not really that simple because I really like xQc and I've been actively watching him for almost 3 years now, kinda annoying that I might have to stop watching because he only plays one game all day everyday.
I relate to this. It’s like, a streamer can only compensate for their content for so long before the content itself becomes stale or no longer entertaining, then it’s no longer worth watching your favorite streamer because you can’t really enjoy it

I don’t follow GTA rp so correct me if I’m out of line. But I don’t think the issue is necessarily playing a character outside of yourself. I think the issue arises when you’re relying on exaggerated racial stereotypes to portray said character. That quite literally is the definition of blackface/yellowface whether intentional or not.

I don't think the problem with the guy roleplaying a black person is that he didn't pick his own race, but that in picking to RP as a black guy he chose to make his character a thug and started incorporating black stereotypes within his RP and that's the issue people see with it, which is understandable once you start you look at the racial aspects of his character.

In my opinion i feel like thats the point in a way most characters who have characters like to make them as almost unreasonably silly or stereotyped out kinda like ken if you know them literally just a super fat guy with a lisp that uses Japanese words every sentence i dont think its really that bad cause its kinda in an irony way and it isnt meant to poke fun or bring down someone else its more so just to make a silly character that you can just do dumb shit on but i can also see where that can be riding on the line a lil but for the most part i think that every is actually really respectful and do it as a joke and doesnt mean harm
but he doesn't thow. He is interpreting a black person who lives in the hood, that's it. They are real people, they exist. It's not a stereotype. Black people can rp poor white people, doesn't make them racist. Rp is about you having the liberty of interpreting everything you want has long as it's faithfull. In gta (the actual game) you literally play a black character who is from the hood. You also play as a white guy that people usually call "white trash" a term that is based on prejudice, and a white rich man. This people exist and should be able to be played and to have a story like any other type of character.
Making this distintion between rich well spoken intelligent perfect black dudes being ok to be interpreted but poor black dudes being not ok to interpret is an actual racist way of thinking.
People like you only care about stereotypes when it comes to pretend like you care about black people but if it's to use stereotypes to make fun of french people, or germans then it's all ok. Black people who are actually struggling in real life care about having the same access to resources and a normal life like any other people, don't care about what you think about on guy playing has a black dude in a video game. And this goes to any other type of people struggling.
So you're not allowed to rp as a black person who's in a gang? Maybe people just think that would be a more interesting character to be as instead of some boring character
