Haley did move up in the primary poll after the debate. I think her schooling Vivek on foreign policy was the most impactful 2 minutes of the entire debate. I will reluctantly be voting for Biden in the general, but I will be voting for Haley in my state's Republican primary.

Nikki Haley sure made an impact when she schooled vivek on foreign policy. He was doing okay in the debate until that point. He showed that he is nowhere near ready to be a politucal leader let alone potus.

That’s not what Vivek said on foreign policy and I think if they’re brave, they’ll have him on and say it to his face.

What was left out of this discussion is that the RNC required the candidates to sign a pledge saying they would support whoever the nominee ends up being. I think that's why they all raised their hands, including Christie. I was undecided whether I would vote in the Republican or Democratic primary in my state, and Haley's responses on foreign policy and abortion convinced me to ask for a Republican ballot and vote for her in the primary.

Would be easier if after January 6th, Congress changed the law so a convicted felon couldn't run instead of people being surprised people given two choices, might choose the wrong one. I've said it before, American democracy is one of the most primitive democracies in the world. And we don't change anything since that's how we're always done it. America is successful despite our primitive democracy not because of it and with the way things are going, I don't know how much further we can go with this baggage we refuse to reform.

As a Republican, I do NOT trust Ramaswamy. At least with the rest of them they have a record… where did Vivek even come from?? He is an unaffiliated voter who didn’t vote in a presidential campaign for 12 years until 2020.

Whenever I watch this show all my hope that America will get back to greatness goes away as I realise that women (who think like this) are the majority of voters.
It came out recently that Vivek also accepted a scholarship to college when he was already a millionaire. I'm not sure yet if he applied for it did say "I can't afford it" and accepted it from none other than George Soros's brother. He put out his own scholarship recently and it a little suspicious how far down the page it takes to find this story, because the scholarships he made takes up most of the result page.

I did not see that on every single news outlet. What I’m seeing is he is doing well with 18-40 white make conservatives. I don’t think really any women of any race approve of him. I heard that get mentioned in particular on post debate coverage and on here. Those female republican voters in iowa cnn asked questions to post debate did not really seem to be glowing for Vivek.

Nikki was clearly more rational and practical than the others. Vivek is the Trumpster on steroids. He shouldn't be allowed to even run based on his tyrannical notions. He has no clue about international laws and affairs and have no regards for the laws of the land. Now, in the defense of Nikki and the others who raised their hands when asked that question, they signed a pledge which they are upholding. The pledge states that the candidate will support the eventual nominee of the party's primary and that the candidate will not participate in any debate the RNC has not sanctioned. The pledge is a part of the criteria Republican candidates must meet to qualify for the first presidential primary debate. Notably, Weak DeSatan had to look around first before raising his hand.
The real problem is not that they would back a felon but our Constitution, laws, requirements are sometimes unclear, ancient and needs to reflect this day and age.
Imagine Vivek is 37 years old and a self made billionaire. We need Vivek in the White House

Really? Why? She’s a bad moderator, and Joy is a fantastic one. She claims the majority of time on a lot of subjects, goes off on rants, is annoying on the more fluffy subjects, cannot pronounce guests names, etc. Joy let’s everyone talk, even when she’s passionate about the subject. She has excellent moderator skills. The show flows a million times better when she’s in charge.

Some states record whether a fetus was born alive during an abortion and whether efforts were made to save it. Seven were born alive in Florida in 2022, nine in Arizona in 2020, one in Texas in 2021 and five in Minnesota in 2021. A CDC study of 143 cases between 2003 and 2014 found that most died within hours, with only 4.2 percent surviving for more than 24 hours.

About half of the agencies that police more than 40% of the state’s population are missing from figures the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) used for a statewide estimation,” the news organization said. Participation in national data collection is even lower, with less than eight percent of Florida’s police departments included in an FBI federal database. Many of the largest, such as the Miami Police Department, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and the St. Petersburg Police Department, are missing from the national numbers.
It is impossible, then, to compare Florida’s crime rate with that of other states. And in any case, the crime rate in Florida has been steadily declining for three decades.
This is a bit out of date. Crime spiked during the pandemic, and though rates are still higher than before the pandemic, homicides are dropping in dozens of major cities, including New York, Chicago, Philadelphia and Baltimore. Examining homicides in 30 cities that make homicide data readily available, an analysis by the Council on Criminal Justice found that the number of killings in the first half of 2023 fell by 9.4 percent compared with the first half of 2022.
Moreover, gun assaults (-5.6 percent), robberies (-3.6 percent), nonresidential burglaries (-5 percent), larcenies (-4.1 percent), residential burglaries (-3.8 percent) and aggravated assaults (-2.5 percent) fell in the first six months of this year compared with the same period last year. However, car thefts continued to increase.
This is a frequent GOP talking point but it’s false. Attorney General Merrick Garland has never equated parents to terrorists, and in fact he told Congress he “can’t imagine” a circumstance under which that would happen.
This all started with a Sept. 29, 2021, letter from the National School Boards Association (NSBA) that asked President Biden for federal resources to help monitor “threats of violence and acts of intimidation” against public school board members and other school officials. Five days later, Garland issued a memo addressed to FBI Director Christopher A. Wray and federal prosecutors. He called for action within 30 days to “facilitate the discussion of strategies for addressing threats” against school administrators, board members, teachers and staff. and also A new executive director for the association was installed, the letter was deleted from the NSBA website, and the association announced in February that it had launched an independent review of how the letter was created.
Nevertheless, the Justice Department never equated parents to domestic terrorists.
