Hey Jill! Circling back to comment. Great information! Thank you for sharing! Breaks are great! Glad you were able to enjoy your family! You look great🎉Strength Training💪🏽 I’m working out 4 times per week. 3 of those are with a partner. I’m enjoying it! Keep up the great work❤❤️
I’ve been on Wegovy since June 2024. I’ve lost 52 pounds so far. Another 20-25 to go. I have stayed on the second to lowest dosage (.5) the entire time. During this time, I took 3 two-three week breaks from the meds. I was still able to continue losing. I would encourage anyone on these meds to not increase the dosage if the lower dosage is working for you. Instead keep learning new behaviors like portion control.
That’s awesome! I know you’re going to benefit so much from it. It’s hard to find time and energy to be consistent, but remember, consistency doesn’t mean perfect. Do what you can, when you can. You got this!!! 💪🏽🔥💪🏽🔥🥳

Congrats on reaching maintenance!! 🥳🥳🥳 That’s exciting! I bet it feels really good! I’m like stuck at 145 for 2 weeks. I know my body is resisting it and will give in eventually- just got to keep doing all the right things. It’s stubborn, but I’m more stubborn! Lol Congrats again! 🤗🙏🏽💖

Hi!! Yes you’re right I guess I was doing calorie cycling without thinking about it! 😂 Also, I used to be scared to celebrate with food but now I know like I can do it, gain weight AND still be okay!! I guess in a weird way, I’ll call that a non scale victory! 🥳😅

Congratulations!!! That’s amazing!! 🤩 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 You must feel so much better and proud! Wow, thats incredible! You mentioned you’re plant based, do you follow Simply Taisha here on RUclips? She’s on Zepbound and also follows a WFPB diet. I think you’ll really like her! Hope you check her out!! You won’t be disappointed! 🙏🏽💖
Hi Jill! So glad to see you back 💖 Omg yes coquito 🇵🇷 is a holiday MUST in our family gatherings. I had to hold myself back from drinking a whole bottle! 🥴 Good for you for listening to your body and taking a break. You got this! 🎉
No way you’re Puerto Rican! I’ve been surprised by how many people knew what it is! 😂 I knew it was super high in calories but I had no idea how much it was till I realized the recipe I was following had the amount. 671 calories!! Just two glasses and there goes my calories for the day! 🙈😅 Have you tried it in coffee? I don’t even drink coffee but man it was so good. 😂
@ yes proud “boricua” 🇵🇷here 💃🏻♥️….😄 I have never thought about trying it in coffee ☕️ Now I have to! Hoping my brother still has a couple of bottles left so I can get a hold of one to use as my creamer 🙃( maybe 🤔 that won’t be such a great idea)🫠 you going to have me crying on that scale 😩…. 😂
@ hahahahaha sorry!! I should’ve kept my mouth shut! 🤐😅 I have some left over ingredients and I think I’m going to have to give it to my sister so I’m not tempted to make a small pitcher for myself. Lol
I too also decided to relax during the holidays and enjoy my family 😊 I gained about 3lbs and I was still injecting the 7.5 Zepbound every 10 days. I probably would have gained more if I wasn’t taking the shot since the food I was eating was so rich. Actually I feel like when we take breaks or decide not to stress out about this weight loss journey it makes the process much more sustainable 😊
Hi! So do you normally stretch it to 10 days or was that just for the holidays? I agree with you about breaks, I think that’s why I feel ready to finish strong. I wasn’t feeling overwhelmed or stressed before, but nonetheless I feel more determined in a way. 🤷🏽♀️😂Thanks for stopping by!! 🙏🏽💖
@ Actually my Plushcare doctor is the one that suggested that I could try to stretch out my injections to 10 days instead of 7 days since I went up to the 7.5 mg to see how I would feel. The food noise and my appetite did not increase. The suppression of both remained.
Congratulations to you 🎉 I can’t wait to see you on this journey dropping 20 lbs. regardless of weight you are stronger than before and you have a different mindset. You got this! 💪🏾
Thanks, Tamika. I appreciate the encouragement. 🙏🏽 And you’re right, I’m in much better shape now regardless of the weight gain. I love that we’re all in better places physically and mentally than when we started. 🙏🏽💖💖💖
Hi Jill nice to see you again! Happy New Year💞 I'm 15 pounds away from my goal weight. I really can't wait to get off this medication. Hopefully I'll never have to use it again once I reach it. After I come off, It all depends on my thyroid. I've already discussed it with my doctor. If I start to gain the weight back, he's going to put me on a thyroid medication. I guess it easier to take a thyroid pill instead of a costly medication like Tirzepatide. I'll have to wait in out. I hope to see you in the next video!✌💙
Hey!! Happy New Year!! That’s amazing! Congratulations! 🥳🥳🤩 I really hope you’re successful off it but you’re right, a thyroid pill would be way better than paying for these injections. 🫠 How’s your hair protocol doing? I fell off the wagon….again. 🤦🏽♀️

To this day I’ve still never had it. 😂 hey you gotta do what you gotta do. If you decide to take a break that’s your choice and I’m here for it. Oh and welcome back!! 🎉
Sounds like it was good to get a break. I’m dealing with a stubborn stall and might do the same at some point soon if it doesn’t start moving again! ❤happy to watch your update 😃
Ugh the app crashed as I was replying to you. 😂 The stalls are the worst, so frustrating! But I saw your update and you hit a big milestone so focus on that!! You’re doing awesome!! Those trail rides are in your future!! 🤗💖🙏🏽🥳
I was off Zepbound for 14 days due to insurance during post Christmas. I gained 2lbs. I don't want to be on shot for the rest of my life. I have to figure out something when i get to that point. I have 15lbs to go.
Wow you’re so close!! 🥳🥳🥳 I believe that some people might be able to heal their metabolic health and successfully maintain their weight loss. Of course, this is so new so we’ll just have to wait and see but I sure hope it works that way for us. 🙏🏽💖💖💖
Hey! So I have United Healthcare but they have so many plans that it varies greatly. If your insurance won’t cover it for weight loss, you might have better luck getting it covered for PCOS or sleep apnea if you have either of those conditions. There’s also compounding pharmacies that you can get it cheaper from because it’s not name brand. Good luck!!
@@2.0mommy I really appreciate this, I'm in Texas so things are a little different as far as Lasgo all my other friends and different states are easily covered. Is it through your job? Because in Texas you need to have an expensive insurance through your job
@ unfortunately a lot of insurance companies don’t cover it for weight loss. They rather you develop health issues instead. 😤 I guess they see it the same way they see cosmetic surgery. 🙄 Yes, it’s through my hubby’s job. If you pay out of pocket I believe it’s about $550 a month for the first 2 doses (could be wrong- don’t quote me) but if that’s too much you should look into Mochi. They sell compounded Tirzepatide for cheaper. A lot of people use them as a telehealth provider. Another option is you can see if your insurance would cover Wegovy. It’s the same thing as Ozempic but prescribed for weight loss instead of diabetes. A lot of times they only cover one weight loss injection (if any) so it’s a worth a shot to see if they cover that one. ☺️
Hey Jill! Welcome back!!! Thank you for sharing your journey!! I have thought about taking a break too once I finish my next vial. I look forward to hearing more about your journey and if you keep losing after the break!! Non-scale victory…I have been in regular sized clothes for about 2 months now! Yay!!!! Talk soon!!
Congratulations!! You need to buy some new dresses soon!! 💃🏻🤗 That’s great news and very exciting!!! 🥳🥳 The break will help save a little money too!! 😎☺️
@@2.0mommyThank you!!! Yes, it would! So happy to see you reaching your goals!!! Glad you are back but hopefully you enjoyed quality time with your family!!!
Hi Jill glad to see you back! IMO 5 lbs is hardly anything to worry about, especially over the holidays. I love your idea of taking a break, I’ve heard something similar about building a tolerance to glp 1s. I’m thinking about switching to Wegovy because I pay nothing through my insurance, where Zepbound is costing 550 because it’s not covered. So maybe a break for me then giving wegovy a try could be my game plan. I have about 40 lbs more to lose which would put me at a 100lb weight loss, which is still “overweight” for my BMI but I’m ok with that.
Hey Dorene!!! 🤗☺️I totally understand wanting to switch to wegovy since your insurance pays for it. You’ve been here since the beginning (I remember you doing my walking challenges!!!🤗🥳) so that’s a long time to pay out of pocket. I think taking a break and then starting wegovy could be a solid game plan!! As for your BMI, it’s better than it was! So you’re winning in my book!! 💪🏽🔥🔥😎
Hi there! You are absolutely correct in regard to resetting or rebooting your body having taken a break from the Zepbound. The body does, indeed, get acclimated to the medication. My doctor intentionally had me start on a 2-week break, then 3 weeks and now I'm at a one dose every 4-weeks. I've noticed that it works as it did in the beginning especially the first few days. I'm 2 pounds away from my goal weight and I believe I will stay at my once-a-month schedule for maintenance (for a few months while I gently increase my daily caloric intake). Also, I did not get crazy hungry during the month. That was my biggest fear. You'll do great! God Bless
Hi! I have questions lol 😂 When did you start weaning off it? And what made you decide that you should do that? I think it’s great that you’re down to once a month! That’s so exiting that you’re basically at your goal!! 🥳🤗🔥🔥 You must feel so proud of yourself. Congratulations! 🎉🎊🎈 Also, just wanted to add that it’s great you’re adding the extra calories in slowly. We don’t want any funny business with our bodies thinking we’re going back to our old ways! lol🙈😂😅
@@2.0mommy Hi there! Sorry, i didn't see your reply.. I started weaning off in November. I wanted to see what I felt like (regarding hunger and cravings) having a longer time period between the injections. I felt no difference, whatsoever, when I went to an every two-weeks injection. Then, I went to three weeks, still no major difference. Bear in mind, even when I was on the once a week injection, I still, occasionally had cravings and days when I was very hungry. I am actually happy about the occasional bouts of cravings and the days when I'm more hungry as it trains me to push through them. It cannot always be roses, right? Life throws us curve balls now and then. I'm on once a month now...Not much difference. I am doing maintenance very slowly. When I take my injection, I do feel a major difference on the first few days. I'm not too hungry and no cravings, kind of like the first couple of months when I started. It's working better for me this way... I'll keep you posted on any major changes....God Bless..MJ
Wow you’re so close!!!! 🥳🔥🥳🔥🥳 You’re very welcome, this community has been so very helpful to me so I’m just glad you got value out of what I shared. Thanks for watching and supporting! 🙏🏽💖💖💖
I'm so proud of you doing what's best for you❤ I'll definitely be doing the same once I reach my goal. I don't want to stay on this medication for life. Stay encouraged!
Hey Dayanah!! Thanks for the encouragement. 🤗 I really hope we’re able to make it work. I know one lady on Instagram that was able to maintain her weight loss for 18 months so far. So there’s hope for us!!! 🥳🥳🙏🏽
Scientific reports do show we get adapted to the med. It does stop working as we adapt. You are spot on about why there are different doses. It stops at 15 mg however and no where further to go.
@@NE_11111 hi! Yes, it’s hard for people who have reached that last dose and it stopped working. To me that would seem like a great time for a reset. I hope in time they can come out with higher doses (if it’s safe of course) so they get the help they need. 🙏🏽🙏🏽💖
Hello. I am so glad you made this video. I too want to take a break. I was thinking about 4 to 6 weeks. Did you start back at 2.5 mg? I have lost 84 lbs since January 2024 with Zep but I still need to lose more. I feel like I have stalled however the food noise has not returned.
Hi!! I started back on 5mg and had no issues with side effects. To tell you the truth I was a little worried and wondered if I should ask my doctor for a 2.5 prescription first, but I really didn’t feel like explaining why lol I’m glad I didn’t have any issues which makes me think my body must’ve still had some familiarity with it. 🤔 I know it’s frustrating that you stalled but at least you’re not gaining and sometimes the body just needs to get used to that new size before it’s ready to let go of some more weight. I’m so glad your food noise hasn’t come back. But to me that actually shows that you’re probably at the right dose, your body is just being stubborn. 😂😅 You’ll break your stall, just keep the course and trust the process. You’ve done so well already!! 84lbs is amazing!! 🤩 🥳🥳You got this!!!
@ I was on 10 for 4 weeks. I did not notice a difference so I want to lower my dose. I want to take a break and start back with 2.5. I want to be on the lowest dose possible. I unfortunately pay the $550 so I want to split my 10s and take maybe 5mgs per week. Praying that they lower the price🙏🏽🙏🏽
That is good to know since I ruined a shot. I will be out a week. You’re at my goal weight. Toning up at the gym and doing water aerobics. Increase my workouts. 😂❤❤❤❤🎉
Hey Jen, I started back at 5mg. No issues with side effects. I was hoping to “see” you because your tip about drinking from a smaller cup was perfect!! I don’t know what it is, but it’s working for me! I’m refilling a tiny 8oz water bottle and I’m up to drinking 4-5 a day which for me is a lot! So thanks for that tip!! Now I just need to stick with it long enough to form a habit. 😂
@ that’s good to hear. I see the fancy RUclips girls buying glass carafes with a little glass as the top to put next to their bed. Maybe try that. Drink from that all day and night.

At 40 pounds in 43 weeks. New Insurancenow and doing prior authorization and want to start 7.5. ... What mg did you stop at and what did you begin again at?
Surely you have learned to ignore the food noise by now? That what this medication is all about not only does it make you feel full (never really worked on me) it’s there to teach you that even if your not on the medication you will still have to eat like you are with a calorie deficit.
That’s a great way of putting it!!! Thank you! 🙏🏽 💖And if someone is deficient in GLP-1 or any of the hormones that signal your brain that you’re full, the only way to help with that is by staying on this medication long term. You can’t learn to ignore food noise if those signaling pathways aren’t working right. Grateful we have this as a tool. 🙏🏽🤗

I want to take a break , I have 10 lbs more to lose. Thanks for the idea.
@2.0mommy yes absolutely there is always hope for us! We will be just fine..
I tool a break for 4 months and came back to it without going up in dose. Great idea to cycle off
@@homewithellieb that’s wonderful! Congrats! I definitely think it’s a solid option for people that don’t need this for diabetes. 💖💖
Sounds like great goals and I know you’re more than capable. You’ve proven such!! 🔥💪🏽🔥💪🏽
Hi there. What dosage did you use when you restarted? Did you restart at 2.5? You’re doing awesome. I always enjoy your videos. Thank you.
I’m so sorry I forgot to include that important info! I started at 5mg and had no issues whatsoever. 😊
Did you restart on 2.5 or 7.5?
My my, that is fancy!! lol I’ll have to look for one on Amazon!! Thanks again!! Love this community. 🤗💖💖💖
How do you know about Coquito? 🧐 I am from 🇵🇷 PR and that’s one of the staples during X-mas 🤣
My mother is Puerto Rican, so she passed on the love of coquito to me. 😂😋 I wish she hadn’t though! 🙈😅
Do you make Pasteles too? We haven’t made that in YEARS! It’s so much work. 🥴😂
@@2.0mommy You have to keep the tradition alive with the Coquito. I don’t make pasteles because they’re so complicated, but I’d love to learn how to make alcapurrias.
Good to see you back, Jill. My grandmother made both Coquito and Pasteles. I remember them from my childhood.
@@2.0mommy My mother is Puerto Rican and Black! We really *are* twins! lol
Hey❤❤ the beauty of the journey - finding what works for you. Here’s to continued success as you move forward. I’m here for the six week challenge - focusing on strength training ❤❤
Thanks, Patrice!! You’re right, we all have to find our own way on this journey. The glp1 community is so supportive that it makes that easier to do. And you’re going to kill it with those new workout clothes you got! 🔥💪🏽🔥💪🏽
0n Tirz 15 mg. I have 13 more pounds to lose. Thinking about Semaglutide for maintenance. Also heard switching could take me out of my stall.
@@tammyrunyon4457 hi! I’ve heard that too. I really believe we need to keep our bodies guessing so I think when people switch things up, it *could* be a solid option. Congrats on being so close to your goal!! That’s so exciting!! 🥳🤗🥳🤗Keep up the great work! 🔥💪🏽🔥💪🏽
We’ve missed you sharing your experience.
I appreciate that! Thanks for watching and supporting!! 🙏🏽💖💖
Hey twin! Considering you only gained 5 lbs during the holidays that is fantastic! I’m glad you gave your body the break that it needed. I’ve never tried PR egg nog but I’ve definitely heard of it. 🤪
I’m proud of you for doing what YOU needed to do for YOU! Way to get back to it!
Thank you for recommending the challenge to me and I’ve also been enjoying it. That 30 minute daily walk has been pretty nice.
Consistency for the win! 💪🏾
Last thing, I’m so glad to see you back on here, I’ve missed your updates! 🥳❤️🥰👯♀️🧘🏾♀️💪🏾
Hi Jill! Puertorican? :) Yum! I know Coquito! I 💜 coquito!
@@marielanelson6748 Hi! Yes my mother is Puerto Rican and she unfortunately passed her love of coquito to me. 😂😅😂 So good, right!
@ oh yay! ( so sorry for your loss) but it is dangerously good! I’m also puertorican and went through same - now back on track!!
@@marielanelson6748 no she’s still alive, I just meant she rubbed off on me lol 😂 And you described it perfectly- dangerously good! 😝 Have you tried it in coffee? Soooooo good and I don’t even drink coffee! Lol
@ oh! Got it! lol
Interesting in coffee huh?! No I have not! - I might now! ;)
So nice to see you back, Jill. 💕
Nothing to feel bad about. A diet break is actually advised. It helps to reduce the mental fatigue from the diet medication
Yes, I can see that. That’s probably why I feel ready to finish strong. 💪🏽🔥😎 Thanks for your support and for watching! Much appreciated! 🙏🏽💖
🧡🧡
Hey!! Thanks for the support!! Hope your journey is going well. 🙏🏽💖💖💖
Coquito no only calories the sugarrrrr ... 😂😂😂 i do love eggnog if bad as coquito , what about arroz con guandules and the salad ... I didn't get any weight becaus was in point with my exercise
You’re right, it’s all sugar! But so good! 🤣😋 My days were so busy with my kids being home and everything else they exercise fell by the wayside, it shouldn’t have, but it did. 🙈 I’m determined to finish strong though!
❤❤
Hey Anne!! 🤗Hope all is well!!
At 40 pounds in 43 weeks. New Insurancenow and doing prior authorization and want to start 7.5. ...
What mg did you stop at and what did you begin again at?
@ I can’t believe I forgot to mention that! I started up at 5mg. No issues with side effects.
Surely you have learned to ignore the food noise by now? That what this medication is all about not only does it make you feel full (never really worked on me) it’s there to teach you that even if your not on the medication you will still have to eat like you are with a calorie deficit.
Hi, I’m a work in progress. But aren’t we all? 🤷🏽♀️Thanks for watching!
@@2.0mommy you are great, You don't learn, you experience! I believe it's a hormone thing. You experience not having the feeling -- not learn....
Jill!! So happy to see you! Congrats on over two thousand subs! I love that the break helped you reset and gave your body the boost it needed. I’m still moving along slowly with my 7.5. I’m 5’3 and just broke into the 130’s (139) for the first time since 7th or 8th grade! Your daughter’s T1 insulin story made perfect sense. You can talk about anything on here and I’ll listen! And I tried Virgin coquitos last year and they are amazing! 🫶🫶🫶 Kim
Hey Kim!!!Congratulations!!! That’s amazing!!🤩 🥳🥳🥳 That’s such a huge milestone and I’m so proud of you!! You must be feeling pretty great. Love it! 🥰 ☺️🤗
I can’t tell you how many times I thought about editing the whole insulin pump story out, but I was like , “If people don’t like it they could skip it!” lol
I’m glad you got to try virgin coquito. It’s just as good. I’m pretty obsessed with it! 🙈🤣
@@2.0mommy it’s funny my milestone keeps coming back and going away. 139. 140. 139. Back to 140 today. 🤪 what a wild journey we are on! And honestly the number doesn’t matter as much as the way I feel, and the choices my brain is making on this medication.
@ I had the same thing happen all of October. I’d break 149 and then go up to 150, then back to 149. 😂 I know there’s different opinions on set point theory, but I really think it happens when your body is getting used to a new weight. We got this!! 🔥💪🏽🔥💪🏽🔥
