When I am in the landscape of any open tuning, chord shapes are very common for all the material between the slide episodes. I usually just use the slide more as an effect within the tunes. These shapes with multiple open tunings are taught in great detail on my "Fingerscapes" and "Acoustic Slide Guide" projects for TrueFire in case you would like more light shed on the subject. Hope this helps, poppa bear. Thanks for checking in.

Finding my self thinking about 0 1 6 8 and considering navigating from register to register. I could do something like that. Thanks!

Hi Richard, i have been given a Regal resonator as a gift (cool) but I'm not up to finger picking yet, have you got any lessons for strumming this instrument, with or without a slide ??

Looking to buy a wood resonator, were does the Gold Tone fall on the list of good to bad? I've had a National Steel Body, sold it, didn't care for the sound. Like the wood resonator tone much better. Don't want to waste money on junk, but don't want to break the bank. Any one shine more than the others?
    Thanks for your insight..

I would buy a Gretsch G9220 roundneck. About $ 600-700. In my opinion the best you can buy for this prize. Great guitar. It's my main guitar. Great sound, great sustain, great resonance. Very playable. I love this guitar.
