I was born and raised in Chicago, but after working 12 years in the financial Industry regulating the futures and options markets at the CME/CBOT I decided to pursue my passion fishing professional tournaments and left my full time corporate job. No doubt. I fish a swim jig everywhere! And if I'm throwing any type of jig 8 out of 10 * it's a swim jig no matter what cover I'm fishing. And is core tackle going to make some of those crazy fish catching colors that your boys tied for you? I think that would be awesome to have a Hank and or Duke special

I grew up fishing the Wisconsin River, Castle Rock, the Buckhorn, Lemonweir River, etc. Swim jig on 50lb braid (to fight off the toothy critters) is absolute dynamite and must have on one of the rods. Great video!

Matt and I apparently grew up very similar. His comment shows more true Wisconsin fishing. But the lemonweir, can be a beast.
Slow rolling a swim jig on long points with brush works well on highland reservoirs in GA. Glad you mentioned that.

A few years back I heard Jason Christie say think of a swim jig as a finesse spinnerbait and it will really opens up the areas you'd would throw one... Ever since I heard that it's definitely changed the way I use one and without a doubt I've caught more fish because of it. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!

I live in tennessee and do pickwick and Kentucky lake and fish them on the ledges and do very good with swim jigs

You can do it
Won my little local john boat league using a swim jig with a keitech trailer on an open water rock lake here in New York. Def gets better bites, some on the fall, some on the retrieve.

Great info, thanks. I recently started fishing a swim jig more often cause I started making them. Painted and hand tied and all lol. I need your expert advice. How many strands of skirt and how many umbrella tied verses conventionally tied? I saw your video where you removed the majority of the strands along the hook. In other words, I’m trying to tie them like that so there is no need to remove any. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry so long winded too 😂

Swim jig is one of favorite baits. Always have 1 tied on. When fishing gets tough a swim jig normally will bail me out.

Matt if you were going to start over with just 1 brand lure what would you pick or can you elaborate. I'm seriously thinking about just given zman lures a shot but I am struggling to catch any fish recently
