Askm bhaiya, I'm from MJCET and you were judge in Hackathon which was conducted in the month of January. You appreciated my project a lot and the content you are providing is truly amazing! Please upload more videos!
just like you said that one must have developed a full stack application but i didnt made a front end and know c++ but not very advanced like no DSA but still can i apply for 2024 gsoc? what should i do before it ? because i am a begginer and contributing to open source is really next level so what should i do before gsoc 2024? as i am interested in web3.0 or ML to work in open source as i know open source is really not for beginners but still if u can guide me how to reach there stepwise to be able to participate?
Whichever area you want to contribute just make 1-2 projects in that area so you are aware of how it's done. That way you won't be completely clueless when seeing a complex open-source project.
If you have all the things I've mentioned in the prerequisite list, you are ready to start. Steps I have just explained in the video, Choose organisation -> choose project -> start contribution
One doubt.. Are all the project ideas accepted??. What if we write a proposal for a idea list(project) and that idea is not accepted.. Because there are almost 5-9 projects per org..?
Idea does not have to be accepted. Once Google accepts the organization and adds it to the list, they are allowed to list any idea. But if google gives them seats for 6 students then they can only accept for 6 ideas (since each person works on only one idea) Watch my other more detailed video on gsoc to understand more clearly.
This one took a lot of effort to edit! There's a big video coming up, can't share more details but stay tuned!
Editing+Great Content (Simplicity) 10/10👌

I have no prior experience in open source and developement can i join
Even I didn't have any experience at one point. You can apply but it'll take a bit more time for you to catch up with technologies.
