The second narrative of the song is the exact way you should be understanding the song. Spot on. The idea of Born To Die is all about a doomed relationship - like you mentioned. I like how you actually caught that because most ppl (majority of reactors) take the song as “everyone’s born to die,” which is true but that’s just too on the nose, and not the point of the song at all lol 😂
Love the vids! A more upbeat song I would suggest is “Off to the Races” - maybe that might grab your attention

First Lana song I ever listened to back in 2012! Gives me so many memories of that time and I actually bought the Born to Die album because of it! To even tell you how much I love it, I have the same cd playing in my car 24/7. And if you listen to this song on streaming only I feel so bad for you, the CD HITS SO HARD!!! It’s so much more crisp!
