One of the things I love about your channel is that you don't waste time with idle chit chat. Thank you! You also inject humor into your videos and have great tips for petites. Well done!
I think rather than referring to aging (looking older or younger) it’s really more about looking current and relevant. A woman who has a lifetime of experience still wants to appear relevant, rather than younger. And certainly a younger woman doesn’t want to dress in a manner that makes her appear out of touch with today. Your tips are always on point, Chi. As a petite person, I am acutely aware of the potential of drowning in fabric or print.
@Kim Samuels As a woman who has been deemed “irrelevant” by those younger than myself, I stand by my comment. Synonyms include unimportant, inconsequential, insignificant. I’m trying to dress current so that I don’t become invisible. I’ve seen many women before me treated as throw aways.
Your channel should be reviewed at the start of every season! Now is spring in my country but I'm glad I didn't spend money on a shacket lol thanks for the tips! You're amazing Chi 👏🥰
recently, i am learning a lot from your videos, i am 43 and petite asian lady, i have become more conscious on my daily outfits, this has been due to my hormonal issues, i want to look better despite these hormonal struggles and your videos helps me regained my self confidence ❤
Depends where you live. Especially during winter. Like in canada that you just dont care anymore if you look like potato during winter as long as you feel warmer while outside.
I can’t stand those long, baggy, square shackets, they make even the most shapely women look like men. You’re the best petite stylist ever, and have useful information for all heights, Chi, keep these great videos coming!
Chi, your tutorials are excellent and on point. But may I make a suggestion to identify the correct styles and the wrong styles, especially the single pictures. I often wonder which is which because they are fast. Perhaps a check mark and a cross mark would help. Thanks for the best tutorials for petite ladies!
I have a challenge for you 😊 I am trying to step away from always wearing black. Can you do a video on how to wear neutral colors in winter or just looks that aren’t dependent on black bottoms and shoes?
I was just about to bring out my long jacket. You have such an eye for how one carries themselves. You are such an inspiration for all us petite shorties!
I love plaids, but they have to have the right scale and not be too contrasting/colorful. I prefer a muted, tweedy-looking classic plaid. Oversized and bright-colored plaids will quickly date.
I really love your fashion Sense and your style. I am petite (5ft 0in) size 8 or 10. You always give good advice and I really enjoy watching your videos. I like that you don't have a lot of unnecessary chatter!
In the mid-70s, when I was in junior high-school, the only outerwear that was worn was a black velvet jacket. We wore them to shreds for two years. I have two reasonably current velvet jackets now, but I find them difficult to style so I rarely wear them, and the fit isn’t great, either. I should have been more careful about buying them and will move them out soon. I’m moving away from buying clothes like this that only work for certain times of year or occasions, the price can’t be justified for such seldom-worn items. My climate is mild, so most items can be worn year-round, except for my few cashmere sweaters.
Omigosh the first coat is almost like mine except I have a bold houndstooth pattern! I bought it last year for the pattern rather than thinking about how it might overwhelm me. I was just taking it out of storage for winter, but because it's new I'm going to have to find a solution for it to not make me look older too 😬
I have a question- my sister lives in the very cold country, Wisconsin and she’s very petite. How do you make a parka lol cute and different from others? Up there you have to sacrifice style for warmth, I think. I 😊know this question is a tough one. I love your informational videos on how to look and feel great! Your comment “just like me” was cute and made me feel a part of vs apart from. Thank you.
You are giving some great advice about proportions and flattering the body, especially for the petite figure, but perhaps instead of using terms like “older” or “younger” perhaps use something like “figure flattering” and “unflattering”, or “timeless” vs “dated”. Not only is the language used in these videos ageist, it’s simply inaccurate. I know plenty of young people who don’t dress to flatter their bodies, and some of my most respected fashion influences and best dressed bodies I know of are several decades older than myself. They aren’t TRYING to look “younger”. They simply know how to dress for their bodies, wear things that make them happy, avoid getting into fast fashion trends, and most importantly, dress and carry themselves with confidence. As far as age goes… I’d imagine many 20 somethings would watch this and laugh because of how much even the “younger” styles look “old” to them, and date the wearer as millennial or older. And that’s fine, goodness knows I’m never giving up my high waist skinny jeans, but fashion is cyclical and constantly echoing itself, so suddenly things I used to associate with middle aged moms & dads are now being worn by young, fashionable people.
Hmm, as an "older" woman (60+), I am absolutely not offended by the use of that word. It is, after all, the truth, and there's something seriously wrong with the world if the truth is offensive. I'll also admit that I'm actively trying to look younger - not 25, but maybe late 40s, early 50s - and I often achieve it, with strangers telling me "no way you're a grandma!" Please leave Chi's vocabulary alone, 320,000 subscribers don't seem to have a problem with it.
So why in the video on the Robe coat , you have skinny ankle jeans on with booties, I thought you said do boot cuts. Is this the look good to with the booties and ankle pants ?
You are so right. I’m Caucasian, you’re Chinese? but you speak the truth for short women. Big prints are ugly but manufacturers only make this for older women. Cheap and nasty. Aaaaarrrggghh! Love your channel and adapting your insights as I need them. Smart lady.

I love this Lady, so on point and funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, Barbara! It makes my day to hear that! 😊

I so agree. At 62, I don’t try to look like a 20-year old, which is a bit pathetic, but I want to look current and relevant, not dated.🙂

Please do a video on Chanel style jackets (no collar) and a video on wearing oversized shirts. Thanks !
I can’t stand those long, baggy, square shackets, they make even the most shapely women look like men. You’re the best petite stylist ever, and have useful information for all heights, Chi, keep these great videos coming!

Glad I ran across this video today.
I must be one of the few that does not own a Shacket! 🤷🏼♀️
I love plaids, but they have to have the right scale and not be too contrasting/colorful. I prefer a muted, tweedy-looking classic plaid. Oversized and bright-colored plaids will quickly date.
Your examples are excellent and very helpful. You are a very good teacher. Thank you

I have a Ralph Lauren black velvet down jacket that I love. You can wear it with anything. (It is older though.)
Vielen Dank für deine tollen Tipps und einen schönen Sonntag 🌤️.
I love this classical music!
Great!
Wonderful as always! Thank you Chi!🌹🌹🌹

You're welcome, Marysia! ❤️
You are so awesome! Thanks for sharing!
The problem with shackets is the pockets. I find them to look masculine, or blue collar.
Hi Chi
Will you teach us how to apply eyeliner on the upper lid, your look is always perfect. Liezyl
Excellent video as always! Thank you for the great tips
So nice of you, Estela! Thank you 😊
I am just skipping the whole “shacket “ trend…… I honestly don’t think it’s flattering on very many people at all.

Hello, I like your styling, it looks so much better... and colder.
thank you so much! ❣️
Sad times. I already bought a shacket :( please post earlier babe! Can't really wear it open when it's freezing!
Wear a long knitted scarf
Maybe you can use a belt?
Thanks both
Luckily I don’t have any of these type of coats. Love your videos ❤
Thank you so much! ❤️
Hi! Can you address dressing for the senior population abt 70+. Hairstyles also
Of course! I'll make a video about that soon!
I love your necklace. Can you add link for it please
Very helpful thank you!!
So why in the video on the Robe coat , you have skinny ankle jeans on with booties, I thought you said do boot cuts. Is this the look good to with the booties and ankle pants ?
I always size down on a shacket or coat like this...

Thank you Cbi!❤
Can u suggest a jeans for rectangular body shape which is comfortable for daily use
Can not open your faux leather pants web. Where did you get it?
So is it acceptable now to wear my robe to drive my kid to school?😂😂😂
Those outfits look good but not everyone can wear their shirts tucked in
Почему без перевода?😥
I have a business idea do you want to collab
People should wear what they want, not what someone tells them to wear..it's all a matter of taste.
And if people WANT someone to tell them what to wear, they shouldn't be allowed to?
🙏❤️
😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️🌷🌹👍
I think looking older is not the same as wearing something unflattering. I thought this video was about how to look more mature (I have a baby face).
You’re wrong
In 2 Days It Will Be My Asian Wife (Maya-Minnie-Chu)’s 28th Birthday And In 1 Week It Will Be My 36th Birthday.
The only thing making you look younger is dress like teenagers these days
