What people seem to forget, is that this was the best way to solve the "who is her mother" scenario. It didn't involve her being a time lord or having her mother as River Song or even as the faceless one etc, it was a nice simple thing that was like "Okay, we understand that she was abused as a teenager and told never to raise Ruby as her own!"
It doesn’t make sense that it always snowed and that choir played when she was captured by Maestro.
How is your personal opinion something that “people” have forgotten?
@@Brogan_Balfour_Crescent It was established that Sutekh was altering Ruby's reality to lure them back to the mystery.
@Brogan_Balfour_Crescent It wasn't particularly well explained, but that was Sutekh making it snow every time the subject of Ruby's mother came up. That's what Maestro meant when they said she had the protection of the oldest one, and that's why it never snowed again in 73 yards. I'm confident this isn't the end of the mystery of why her mother was so impossible to find, it, along with 73 yards and Mrs Flood, will probably all be explored further next season.
@@jwitt1 The 73 Yards was purposely ambiguous and would work better if left alone. Mrs Flood definitely seems like setup for Season 2 (series 15/ season 41 as some will still call it) but this was written like the pay-off to a much longer series and still has plot holes like why Ruby's mum pointed at sign despite no-one being there.
This might not have been given a major SF twist like the Ponds and River Song. But personally on this occasion I think that Ruby's reunion with her mother works out just fine in the simplest way. Because Doctor Who is a series that can make even the ordinary seem magical in its own right. 💓
I never cry when watching tv but a tear came out when they hugged…🥲😭
While the reveal of her mother, in my opinion, a let down. This scene did hit the feels. As an adoptee myself i understood where ruby was coming from. Not everyone gets to meet their birth parents. Including myself
Dw everyone! Ruby is coming back in season 2, when the Doctor was crying he was crying because his best friend found her mum and will be seeing her biological father soon and did the typical Doctor Who thing like he did with Donna: leave but didn’t realise she’s coming back but she’ll phone call him and tell him to get his ass back there after her mum leaves
Not to be that guy, but I believe you mean Martha too
he's sad cus she found what he can't
I was chuffed to see Faye McKeever playing her mother . What a gorgeous actress , one of my faves .
Hindsight. They couldn't have done this any better.
Well the weird ominous pointing could've been different but still
Yeah the pointing and cloak was just silly! But I loved the ending for Ruby and being reunited with her Mom.
For the first time in a very long while, the Doctor did what the timelords always believed in. He just watched, and didn't interfere ✨
The scene between Ruby and her Mom made me cry! The doctor pressuring her and guilting her into leaving her alone… didn’t like that!
This made me bawl
Same!
there's been several episodes during the new who that made me cry, classic who only
once when the doctor let susan go
This scene still makes me cry😭😭😭
Oh my god I'm so happy ruby found her so emotional scenes to watch can't wait to see ruby again next year
I'm not going to lie to you... I was expecting Ruby to be River Song and the Twelfth Doctor's daughter because, you know, they spent 24 years in Darillium. xD
They aren’t the same species. They can’t kids
@@FlagadossSupreme Kal El is Kryptonian, Nowl-Ahn Viltrumite and both had children with a human. Why couldn't a Time Lord? Besides, River Song's DNA was part Time Lord.
@@KiaraNicole95 nor River or the doctor are Timelords (spoiler)
@@FlagadossSupreme River Song has a mixture of human and Time Lord DNA because she was conceived in the TARDIS. And, as for The Doctor (the Timeless Child), the Time Lord race was created out of his DNA. But the point is that it's fiction and if the script wanted it, River and the Twelfth Doctor could have had a child.
The Doctor is starting to realized that he needs to find out what really happened to his first family esp. Susan and Jennifer.
And thats why Mundy returns, the Doctor must’ve found that Jenny is fighting in wars and he picked wars where she would’ve fought in to help. Jenny and Mud mustve fought together at some point and then the Doctor asked Mundy to find her with him and Ruby.
Beautiful.
😐 they're hinting at things I knew i wasn't nuts. On a rewatch of church on Ruby road. There was never a lamp post.
It isn't there.
Then it is. The doctor said time keeps changing.
Ruby is not who we think she is
Does anyone know the location of the coffe shop
Barry Island I believe
I still believe her mother is a dalek
This is a false flag I feel. Rubys parents aren't really rubys parents. It's another trick I hope by Russell t Davies and all will be revealed in the next series
maybe a trap by the trickster
no
@@doctorwhyyt11true, why else would Ruby’s hidden song be very similar to his theme. Plus: by the sounds of it: all the Pantheon are afraid of Sutekh, not even the Toymaker wanted to play with Sutekh, Maestro who warned the Doctor about the one who waits is near, but Maestro when Maestro heard Ruby’s hidden song they said: “the oldest one” not “the one who waits.” Why would they say that: Maestro must have meant: One Who Waits: Sutekh and the Oldest one: the Trickster.
It does feel like a trick. It feels far too lonely and sweet for an ending!
@@thebakalord When Maestro asked themselves what the hidden song in Ruby’s soul was, that was answered when they used the tuning fork, and the hidden song was Shepherd’s Bell Carol.
