I came here after watching the latest video with Prince William actually in it. So proud of how far y'all have come. Not just as content creators, but it feels so special to know y'all as people. Seeing Kush and Prince William working together, and him being so friendly with y'all. The latest video had this group photo of all the guys and Jamie, Mike and Barry had their family and their kids in the photo... and omg I'm feeling so emotional about it, I don't know how you guys got through it. This just gives me all the feels...
If she's subscribed to you or added you as one of her contacts, whatever you post comes up on her 'what to watch' page. Or it could just be a coincidence :)
This is the first sorted video I saw, and have since been happily subscribed. I've been trying to marathon all the new episodes, took a break and went back down memory lane. The food is of course still as awesome, and you boys are just as equally a treat. You're my go to when food just gets too boring. c:
Prince William and princess Kate came out of the private entrance of the Kensington Palace in the UK right when our taxi dropped us there to see the palace! Omg it was even more awesome when prince William waved at us!!! AHHHH
I saw the abunance of Union Jacks and settled in for what I was sure was going to be an amazingly amusing episode. I was not disappointed in the least. The ribbon cutting in particular was hilarious, and those little cakes look absolutely delectable!
Having a Sorted Marathon and I've decided to "like" every video I watch because you guys definitely deserve it, for teaching me how to cook and making me laugh all at the same time! PS: Jamie is extra funny in this one! Lol! :)
@UnknownEntryRetype it has a bearing on two things... both are pretty much interchangeable as it's just a different of quality and price. So simple use what you can afford and/or what you already have sat in the cupboard. In a cake there is little difference in taste. In something like a panacotta, creme brulée or similar dessert where the cream and vanilla are prominent then try to go for extract if you can.
@alexandrianeloquence We didn't actually use anything as it naturally curled around the cake and gripped because it had been unrolled from a coil. But you can use a tiny bit of water and icing sugar combined as an edible and nearly invisible glue.
I'm starting to watch SORTED old videos and now I'm wondering, how the hell Ben managed to work with those other three? If I were Ben, I would've snapped long time ago! XD But well, they're friends, I guess that explains a lot. :)
@zubiila Really Really simple!!! Twice as much icing sugar to butter. So 100g butter with 200g icing sugar. Then enough food colouring or additional flavouring (almond/vanilla/orange essence) to suit you.
I actually made a marshmallow fondant for both my best friends birthday cakes. The one you made looked SO MUCH easier to work with. Why did I not see this video when I needed it? They came out well enough, though. Tasted great and looked super pretty :)
@stoptheqtipjoey not a traditional Victoria Sponge... but if you love it then go for it. Swap a couple of tbsp of the flour with the same amount of cocoa powder... simple!
Absolutely brilliant. I'm in New York, but my mother is organizing a Royal Wedding party in which we all wake up at 4:00 AM to watch the... whatever it is that's going down. We were going to have scones to be all English, but maybe I'll make these instead!
You will need liquid glucose for this, otherwise it isn't as supple and easy to work with. Most supermarkets will see it (certainly in the UK). Otherwise, you can buy ready-made fondant icing.
I find that a pizza cutter is great for cutting round the edge of fondanted cakes if you don't want to get your credit cards dirty or can't find another implement it means you can get nice and close to the bottom too with a nice clean edge
whenever i click into a new sorted video, the vid would be hving 305/307 views at the moment lol i enjoy ur recipes! cant wait til the exams done so i can hv time to try them out!
I love cakes, and i love lemons, so could u please show us how to make a lemon sponge cake with lemon buttercream icing? I would really appreciate it. Thank you xx
Hi Sorted, im from Singapore! Great recipes fits with entertainment. I have a question: Is it okay if i use Glucose instead of Liquid glucose? Whats the consistency it suppose to be? And is it possible if you could make a tutorial on just fondant. I need your help! Thanks!
hey guys! great episode. i was wondering if you thought mangoes and avacadoes were a good combination. Also, can you teach us how to make mango salad? :)
Would corn syrup work just as well? I live in the US and haven't seen liquid glucose at the store. Also, for a larger cake, would you need to frost the cake before coating it with the fondant?
How do you make buttercream? (that blue cream, think you said buttercream but I might be wrong) Thoes cakes looks delicious so I'd love to try to make some. :)

Prince William and princess Kate came out of the private entrance of the Kensington Palace in the UK right when our taxi dropped us there to see the palace! Omg it was even more awesome when prince William waved at us!!! AHHHH
It's great/adorable how Barry is always so eager to get in there with his hands.
I saw the abunance of Union Jacks and settled in for what I was sure was going to be an amazingly amusing episode.
I was not disappointed in the least. The ribbon cutting in particular was hilarious, and those little cakes look absolutely delectable!
@TheSilsen It was an online purchase... a company called 'eatmyphoto' if I remember correctly. Great idea and not too expensive! :D
@snailbacon yep the same victoria sponge cake mix will work for fairy cakes or cupcakes too.
Wow, I HAVE to try this some time! It looks AMAZING!
I love how Ben just gets impatient and slices the ribbon right in front of Barry's face :))
YAAAAY!!!! Jaime's back on the channel! We've missed him!
Having a Sorted Marathon and I've decided to "like" every video I watch because you guys definitely deserve it, for teaching me how to cook and making me laugh all at the same time! PS: Jamie is extra funny in this one! Lol! :)
Not a stupid question at all! It's so you get more air into it and it removes the lumps, making a nice smooth mixture :-)

I am loving your show!!! great job!! xoxo
I love watching you guys
@blueshopper1235 Barry makes them all for the SORTED kitchen. We might well be making them available soon.
Ben looks so good
@alexandrianeloquence We didn't actually use anything as it naturally curled around the cake and gripped because it had been unrolled from a coil. But you can use a tiny bit of water and icing sugar combined as an edible and nearly invisible glue.
i cant help but watch every single one of your videos with the same intensity i do when watching an exciting tv show lol
@kamelkanel 250g of plain flour with 2 tsp of baking powder and 1 tsp of salt. That'll give you something that is very close to self-raising flour.
@THPPAA twice as much icing sugar to butter and then blue food colouring. E.g. 100g butter and 200g icing sugar. An easy butter icing.
I'm starting to watch SORTED old videos and now I'm wondering, how the hell Ben managed to work with those other three? If I were Ben, I would've snapped long time ago! XD

@feepque You can, but you'd need to add bakigng powder to the normal flour!!
@nanocookie29 yup you can definitely buy them online, that's what we did!
@stoptheqtipjoey not a traditional Victoria Sponge... but if you love it then go for it. Swap a couple of tbsp of the flour with the same amount of cocoa powder... simple!

These would be a brilliant birthday cake!

This is so fetus, Jamie looks adorable
I know!
@KawaiiiKittehChan It is to give it the right consistency. If you can't get hold of any then usually you can buy the icing ready-made anyway!
British accent + Being able to cook = Perfect!
@johnisalegend2 a butter icing will work or a dab of jam.
@abbstaaarr yep... you can buy the ready rolled fondant icing or make your own! :D
Jaime's BACK!! YAAAAYYY!!!
u guys cracked me up everytime i watch ur videos! love it

@AshCakesxD well then maybe a birthday cake instead? ;)

This was posted on my birthday!

I find that a pizza cutter is great for cutting round the edge of fondanted cakes if you don't want to get your credit cards dirty or can't find another implement it means you can get nice and close to the bottom too with a nice clean edge

you guys never fail to amaze me! Please come to Malaysiaaaaa?? :)
awesome i wanna do that for my birthday hahaha!
It's easier to put buttercream around the cake before putting the fondant on because it sticks easier xx
ahaha i love the reaction to the food coloring! :D
Hiiii!
Quick question- would it still be a Victoria Sponge if I added cocoa to the mix? I
Blue icing for the baby boy.. Predicting the future on sorted food..

OMG You just made fondant!!!!!! I've always wanted to know how that was done!! xD tytytytytytytytytyty
you can also use a pizza cutter, like the roller one, to cut around the cake also.
