Thanks for this wonderful illusion! I came up with a nice revealing of the matching cards: pull them out of the case and lay them on the table one on top of the other. Let the case be examined then take the upper card explaining that this was the spectators choice and lay it to the side of the lower card to which you refer as your choice. Then ask the spectator to reveal "their" choice as you count to three revealing "your" choice at the same moment...
Like this you stress the fact that two different choices have been made.
I also like the idea during the performance that you point out, that you even don't look at the spectators choice so you have no idea what they chose until the final revealing...

Another effect that kills with little skill required. I can still remember performing your shuffle/cut/deal in my local pub as a closer after handing out an envelope with the three "chosen" cards several tricks beforehand. I'm a hobbyist, a journeyman, but the reaction to that trick lives with me still. Your magic is amazing and I love it bud.

I knew exactly how this trick is done as soon as I saw it, just from my experience. I LOVE how easy, practical, and convincing it is, for spectators, though. For as simple as it is, it's brilliant. Also, the space ship is made of empty bath tissue rolls.

Legit... When you performed the trick I thought you used some double-sided tape inside the upper lid of the box to hide the final card, but you then said that the box could be examined. I was confused. Then I was watching the explanation and as you put the final card under the box on top of the pack, I literally, out loud, said "Nooooooooooooooooo!" Great move! And another great video! Thanks for being you!

Great video. I appreciated your teaching style and feel like I'm be able to master this in no time. The shape of the ship that would be odd to me is a rectangular prism. I would think that's the least aerodynamic and thus be an odd shape to make a spaceship.

Great effect. Thx for the tutorial! An alien ship above my house would look like a hurricane and us Floridians would just ignore it because it is seen so frequently... Then they would exact their revenge upon us without us knowing.... But seriously, I'm thankful that all my family and myself down here are safe from hurricane Ian because that destruction is no joke 😳 keep up the good work Jay! Really clever trick! I always love borrowed deck tricks. I picture a family of aliens hovering overhead in what appears to be the Griswold station wagon, "the Family Truckster."

My 11yr old and 6yr old daughters absolutely LOVE learning these tricks and showing them off. They are super excited to show this one. My daughters say the ship would look like Mickey Mouse's head.

Such a clean but convincing trick. The spaceship would have to look like a Giant Panda - super cute ( to prepare earthlings for future traumatic experiences), four paws ( each one equipped with untold diagnostic equipment able to read people's thoughts and still think earth is worth invading, and finally a giant panda heart across which is writ large :'we come in peace!

It might look like a giant white reefer floating in the sky with hundreds of purple tentacles working their way out of it. Each suction cup of the tentacles glowing different colours and blowing smoke out of them.

I saw a ship just last night, couldn't believe my eyes, looked like a 800 ft long hot dog and here's the kicker, it had ketchup and mustard on top. No onions - I just couldn't believe it.
An alien ship above my house would look like a 1932 Studebaker, slightly rusted (similar to the one in Petrified Forest National Park, but with less rust). The alien would look like Jeffro.

Oh and I have to say thank you to you Jay. I too am cursed with very small hands for a guy 6 feet tall and once I saw you doing certain cuts and sleights it really motivated me to learn them myself and know that with a lot of practice and patience I’d get it eventually.

Is it a good idea to spread the cards on the table for letting the spectator choose their card? Ok, it gives the impression of no forcing (while there is no force at all) but by just holding and squaring the deck back in the left hand after the choice, there is no urge to motivate the grabbing of all the cards back in the left hand.

I think the alien ship would look like a house. Imagine if you were an extraterrestrial that meant no harm, and you wished to communicate that to humans. You would ask, in your alien language, "What does a human enjoy more than anything else?" And when you look, you see people staying in houses a lot, and you say "Hey, that's it! This is what humans must enjoy the most. They build thousands of them, and each one has one, and each one spends their time in one!", and so with your powerful tech, you switch your silly disk spaceship into a house, and begin to land. Of course, landing in a neighborhood to blend in would make sense, and in that moment is when I would think someone would look up from their window and see a giant floating house and go, "Huh, that's strange."
