this animation will be put to test when the user is given the control of the moves, because we all know that it is smooth because the movements are from legit action from players and not from a joystick or keyboard trigger
EA will never partner with anyone who can improve their basketball game. Mike Wang once said he had a way of how a basketball game should be made, and EA had their way - and would not compromise. Which should tell you that EA prefer to realease sub-par games and lose money over changing their way. That's why they will not team up with these guys.
I tell you what, they just screwed everything up for next generation basketball if it doesn't look like this. Imagine looking at 2k next gen now and not getting that same "HOLY SHYT" when you first saw this game, might as well stay in current gen. Im just saying💯👌🏾🤷🏾♂️
Yea they raised the bar to like sky high that ain't no any companies including 2K could match this standard in the possible future. This virtual basketball game is definitely making a mess in the next-gen basketball game industries.
This looks clean like the way they move I was hoping they did that for 2k but it’s still the same weird pause before you do something it just doesn’t feel natural
The file size for the digital assets for all the animations would be astronomical. I think 2k has the technology to do this but they have to worry about the size of the game files… i’d imagine 250 gb is the limit for most next gen games. We are looking at terabytes worth of in game assets to accomplish something like this for console gameplay. Loading times would increase as well. Looks damn good though.
NBA live should put this in their game the player movements if they did that in be a lie will be one of the greatest games ever created and I would buy NBA live before 2k
Question: Why wouldn’t 2k adopt something similar to this? Put an animation feature on actual NBA players playing 5vs5 capture that and find a way to allow us to play the game with this smoothness. Would that even be possible?
I would like to see studios go back to digital ( next gen digital) and this type of mo cap! EA and 2k animations are obsolete! This would be a great experience
Can't the NBA partner with 2k for mocapt real NBA players for an entire season... and then release the game the next summer? I dunno. I'm just making stupid points trying to make them valid in the future. This should be somehow the next generation for sports. I'm sure it will be anyways.
It would take years for animators to sort through and add the data to the game, plus I doubt players would wanna put on mocap stuff on them that could hinder their play. If everyone was compliant it would work flawlessly tbh, but 2k needs to stay on that annual release cycle to make money and players arent gonna wanna put on extra stuff under their gear.
No they cannot unfortunately. A full motion capture means you won't have any gameplay's control. If the game's intention is to allow players control, there will be a disconnection of animation, leading to the fact that the animation won't be as smooth as the video you are seeing right above. It's just very difficult (Nearly impossible imo) to have such a smooth animation while allowing total players control at the same time.
What do you guys think about Virtual Basketball?
They guys need to actually put a game together. Better than 2K by leaps and bounds!!
better than 2k ,but video is 2 years ago what happen

It’s almost creepy if we played a game this realistic
It'd be amazing.
It’s creepy people have been entertained by robotic movement like it’s a good game since the beginning. It’s about damn time games get good
I dont think they realize how much money they could make partnering with EA or 2k, why are they wasting this amazing engine on a crap betting site

all of you are so clueless its literally impossible to create a playable game with this
@@megafabian003 yeah at this point im pretty sure its just a 5v5 with mocap suits on
@@megafabian003 NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE MY FRIEND
They shouldn't partner with 2k at all
2 years later 2k still has not seen this.....they can use this as an ideal to make the game better....
I don't see why not these next generation systems can't do that now its possible if Sony or 2k use unreal engine 5 no excuses.

Im Trying to tell you,
The one game that could take out 2k and keep NBA live on the shelf..lol💯👌🏾
I don’t care how it’s done 2k21 needs to look close to this
LOL
It actually looks like where NBA Live was trying to go but couldn't.
beacuse 2k always jealous they have more trolls they hate Ea cos realistic movement
Its a mocap animation concept. Brilliantly done. Great video👍
But 2K does do motion capture and NBA live. They just don't utilize it enough
This looks clean like the way they move I was hoping they did that for 2k but it’s still the same weird pause before you do something it just doesn’t feel natural

And fuckin 2k can't do it??? With billions of dollars they are making???
Hopefully next gen consoles can do this. It would be awesome.
real life movement animation, this is possible in ps6

You do realize that people control nba players on 2k right? So how would a 5 vs 5 mo cap make sense
2k sports has the potential to make a basketball an (expecilly a football game like this if given opportunity) they can do the same thing no excuses.
Yo I know I’m not big but u want to callab soon maybe like something with modding I know it will be fun

It is a possiblity that 2k can bought this technology. They can always sort things out.
2k has this technology. Its just mocap. Nothing special
I hope you’re having this on nba 2k 21
What the hell is a sports title? A championship?
Thanks for the explanation!
Damn you killed my hopes 😂
You were correct
Why the Gordon Hayward shit
The graphics is ok next gen graphics will be better .. the animations are sick!! Next gen won't compare
ahahaha stoopid
JacquesWebster II ok
Noice vidya bruv
NBA live should work out a deal with them and (TAKEOVER) nba2k. Hella pun. Lol
Believe anything is possible 2ksports can do this now is just a matter of time.
5 years
No they cannot unfortunately.

but obv you dk what your talking about bc this is very possible in the future of gaming
Bruh this was basically 2k13. It wouldn't be fun to play
