That is a true fact about seeing your kids grow up. A young man that I mentor, just had his first child and he asked me what the best part of having kids is and I told him "Watching them grow up". Then he asked me what the hardest part is and I told him "Watching them grow up".
My oldest son is 41 now and my youngest son is 23. I have 4 sons. You don’t realize while you’re busy raising them how fast the time is passing! I have so enjoyed watching your boys grow up! Buggy is turning into a big girl now. Good job!!
You are so right! My daughter will be 40 in August and my son 38 in September, the time has absolutely flown by! And it breaks my Mama heart wondering how it all went so darn fast. My oldest grandchild will be 23 in April and youngest will be 6 in March. (They are brother and sister with siblings in between) it's just crazy it's all gone so very, very fast. And watching Ben and Meg's children grow up as well.
So, so happy to see the Hollar Family back. I have truly loved watching the boys grow into handsome and good young men in the past years and now we get to watch those two beautiful little girls grow. Ben and Meg you have done a wonderful job raising those children over the years. May God continue to bless you and your family in the years to come.
I love Corbin's wooden chainsaw. So cool that he would make it and want to "help" dad cut stuff. Great memories for both of you. I think it would look awesome hanging on the wall in the upper portion of the barn. Nice to see the boys pitching in on the pig house build but I'm shivering just looking at their barefeet. Y'all are raising an amazing family.
Had a similar issue with my tractor earlier this year. 12 years of accumulated sludge (algae) in the tank - restricting the flow of fuel. Syphon’ed the fuel, removed the feed connector and flushed everything out. Back like new.
Aren’t his parents in the Central Valley? I believe that is easily 100 miles away from the fires In Los Angeles. But I would imagine the air quality in the Valley is pretty smoky as a result.
Afternoon, still see his breath in the air, every kid has a nice warm coat..... not a shoe in sight. Tell me your country without saying your country😂😂😂
Love y'all's videos. You keep it real. I have so enjoyed watching the boys become young men. Little miss is growing up to be a beautiful young lady. Baby girl is growing so fast. You both are doing a wonderful job raising the kiddos. The homestead is looking great.
You guys are growing a thriving crop of beautiful children. I love to see how they grow. I couldn’t believe how big Corbin has gotten somehow when my back was turned. Very much love to you all.
what lovely manners Buggy has at the table, and Elizabeth is just like her, loves the camera. So cute, your doing a good job raising good mannered children Meg and Ben.
I grew up barefoot in upstate NY. Now it’s called “grounding” but there’s no better feeling in the world to be connected to the earth. I swear I could have put out a cigarette with my bare feet! All summer barefoot. And I see Buggy is barefoot too! Good for you kids!!
Your body gets so full of parasites when you go barefooted! It’s crazy. Google how many parasites get in your body. 😢 Well especially around pigs n chickens. 😢
Freezing water outside for animals. I use canned beets with no added sugar, add water, blend. Then I add about 1 cup per gallon of water. They really don't get much of the natural sugar but it does help prevent freezing.
As a grandmother, I know full well how fast time goes. Make the memories, save the projects, drawings, anything, because when you blink, another year has gone by. Good thing that you have videos of their lives. Love the Hollar family ❤. Blessings to all
My husband heard the tractor. It’s stumbling because there is water in the filter. You need to empty the fuel tank, add fresh fuel. Take the filter off replace the filter. Make sure to fill the filter with fresh fuel before replacing it. It may run rough for a bit but it will get better.
My boy is nearly 37 and there were times I didn't think he would make it, but he is a wonderful man now, a special ed teacher, and occasionally I run across one of his great Corbin-type inventions, even now. They are precious, and I laughed when I saw Corbin's saw--so inventive! From a distance, it actually looks like a real live saw--good going, Corbin. Good going, parents!🌻
Hey Hollers 👋, just think what Munchie will build in his lifetime, absorbing all knowledge you offered his whole little life 🔥. Nice new hut for the Piggies 👍. So cute
Ben and Meg....you all are doing amazing things. We had 4 kids way back in the dark ages and now we are all old! Hehehe We had twins and two more from 1974-1978. We had some building to do to accommodate the six of us but we somehow got it done and even took some vacations. When your little ones get old enough take some time for yourselves so you don't get burned out. Keep up the good work.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Greetings from Wisconsin. Cool saw that Corbin made and with a pull- start! Thanks for sharing that awesome child creation. Gorgeous daily bread, Meg. Thanks Ben for sharing the lives if your piggies.
Ben, I got a lump in my chest when you said it's sad when your kids get old, but it's also fun. So very true. I have two grands now, but it's just not the same. ❤
Amazing how fast the kids grow ... Still call our youngest as our baby boy... he's 34 lol ....Get that fuel filter changed and check for water in your fuel... Great vids guys we can't wait for each new episode 😉
Growing up (I'm 66 now), my older brother (Glenn) was nicknamed "Buster". My dad's (Carl) nickname was "Bus". NO ONE in the family or extended family ever called them by their real names. As I got older it was so weird to hear outsiders call them by their given names. It really is endearing to have nicknames!
Power service biokleen biocide is what we used to treat diesel school busses . Algae will freeze and plug filters to act like water. It was the quick easy fix that worked for us. Once it's in your storage tanks, it keeps coming back unless chemicals kill it
Oh no. indoor swimming pool! Not good! Nice bunch of feeder pigs! Nice job getting them a more permanent shelter that can be moved away from low spots to avoid indoor swimming pools in the pig's shelter! Yup, my kids are 19 and 20 years old and now their toys are cars! it's fun to see but it's a little sad too. They still play their video games so far. Yay, the siding looks great! Nice shelter! It does look like the other one in the woods. I like how you can carry that one on your shoulders and pull it around. I'm glad to see that Corbin came out to help! I think Brett came out to help too! Too bad you're having fuel trouble with your tractor. Could it be the wax in the diesel? Put "NO GEL" in the tank? At 14 F degrees diesel will gel. We have to put "No Gel" in out heating oil tank for the winter. Adding kerosene will help stop gelling too. Nice. The tractor started! That makes it a lot easier to move! Thanks for the video of the pig shelter project! Yum, Meg's cooking! Beef stew with fresh sourdough bread! Chunkamunka! Cute Elizabeth nickname! She was the biggest baby! Brett looks so much like my two boys that are 19 and 20 years old. Both of them like their hair long too! I think it was Covid that got them used to long hair. thanks for this video Hollar family!
Fuel your tractor at the end of the day to keep the moisture out So the tank doesn’t sweat. You might add a water separator or if it has one check it for water. 💦
LOL! You remind me of my mom years ago. She was always a "reactive" instead of a "proactive" homesteader! We had pigs and chickens and planted a huge garden every year...and every year we had to play catch up with everything, until my brother got old enough to start preparing ahead.
I think part of all that is getting the infrastructure set-up right. It took us 5 years to get our garden going well at our hobby farm. There was no garden at all there when we moved to the property. Catch up was always that mode until we had things established. Have a great 2025!
electrician my husband is a licensed electrician and owns his own company going for a contractors license we also have 4 kids 22 - 14 and a grand baby! Seeing them grow up is bitter sweet . Miss the baby stage but love the people they are turning into yall are awesome love that the kids are so involved!
It is bittersweet how fast those amazing kids grow into adults..but there’s joy in watching them as adults too. My “baby” turned 18..and those creative crazy kids still do creative crazy stuff that I just love and enjoy watching!

Perfect responses.

Loved the fact that Bugy has changed places at the dinner table. Plus the wooden chainsaw is super cool. He done a great job on it.
Brett’s chainsaw, the barn wall would be a great place for these types of memories. Many blessings children of God 🙏💜
I agree before it becomes a lost memory, i have many of those odd things i wished today i saved when they were kids.
Then it'll be there when his sisters want to use it in a few years too.
I hope the pigs enjoy their new home! Elizabeth is paying attention to everything going on!
Had a similar issue with my tractor earlier this year. 12 years of accumulated sludge (algae) in the tank - restricting the flow of fuel. Syphon’ed the fuel, removed the feed connector and flushed everything out. Back like new.
I hope yalls family and friends in California are safe praying for all concerned

In Los Angeles. But I would imagine the air quality in the Valley is pretty smoky as a result.
Your baby looks like her sister. I bet you could confuse their baby photos easily.
You’re so blessed 🥹
YAY!!! THE HOLLARS ARE ON!!!
✌️💖🙏🙌🫂😘🤜
I think Buggie needs a playhouse. Love the vid as usual❤
Agrees
I bet it's nice to have those strong men you raised helping you build!
Hello Nadine how are you doing today
Afternoon, still see his breath in the air, every kid has a nice warm coat..... not a shoe in sight. Tell me your country without saying your country😂😂😂

When you called your pig hut pigafull instead of pitiful you had me cracking up that's so cute. Love it

Love watching buggy playing in the background
Hi Carol how are you doing
That is so funny your boys continue to not wear shoes even in the winter!
I grew up barefoot in upstate NY. Now it’s called “grounding” but there’s no better feeling in the world to be connected to the earth. I swear I could have put out a cigarette with my bare feet! All summer barefoot. And I see Buggy is barefoot too! Good for you kids!!
@@chrishughson1 ~ I graduated to moccasins in the winter, but the rest of the year, it was barefoot!
Buggie also! I grew up barefoot all summer. Obviously they have shoes and boots, just don't always wear them.
At their age I would go outside without shoes, in MI. But I too love seeing them barefoot!
Your body gets so full of parasites when you go barefooted! It’s crazy. Google how many parasites get in your body. 😢 Well especially around pigs n chickens. 😢
As Al Lumna would say, "I like it." Thanks for sharing.
I love ALL The Hollar Homestead videos!
Beanies, check, warm coats, check, long pants, check, shoes? Nope.....lol I love that.
Right ❓. First thing I noticed 😂😂😂😂
Love it 👵🏻❣️
Frozen ground? No problem. Going in the pigpen? Nah! Shoes aren't necessary!
Books have always been my escapism, now I hate saying 'bye' to you all! L.ittle house on the prairie vibes! You're just exceptionally normal.
Good food, good eats. Happy children!
😅I am amazed at how you all fit in the tiny mobile home ..they are lovely handsome boys
Ben, we haven't heard about your house addition. What is going on with that? Love Corbin's chainsaw!!! That was so prescious. Thanks for sharing.
Blessings on the Hollar Family Homestead!🌻🐛🌿💚🙏💕👵

aw so sweet to see Buggy she is so big and dang cute...and that dear baby is growing !!
Can’t believe Elizabeth has teeth .They grow up too fast. Soo cute . I love to see little pigs.I’m so glad your back!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
My husband heard the tractor. It’s stumbling because there is water in the filter. You need to empty the fuel tank, add fresh fuel. Take the filter off replace the filter. Make sure to fill the filter with fresh fuel before replacing it. It may run rough for a bit but it will get better.
Great content, and your humility is what elevates it. Keep up!
Just so awesome honoring your children!
Ahhhh, to be young and barefoot in winter😊.. grounding at its finest!! Chunkamonka is so stinking cute, all your children are good looking.❤
LOL🤣 Goozfraba Ben, we all have those "burn that sucker down" moments.
My boy is nearly 37 and there were times I didn't think he would make it, but he is a wonderful man now, a special ed teacher, and occasionally I run across one of his great Corbin-type inventions, even now. Hey Hollers 👋, just think what Munchie will build in his lifetime, absorbing all knowledge you offered his whole little life 🔥.
Nice new hut for the Piggies 👍.
So cute
Meg your sour dough bread looks amazing. I have never had any success with making sourdough bread. Would love to see you make a loaf. ❤
I really enjoyed this video. Day in the life of a homesteader. Reminds me of growing up. Love seeing the kids involved in the projects!

Hi Susan how are you doing
Janky. I like that word. You all are so dear. Thanks for sharing, you beautiful people.
That’s a great looking shelter and I’m so glad the kids came out to help
Love all the nicknames. Great job on the new pig house. They looked really happy!

I just had canned pork last night for supper with noodles 😋.
You looked lonely by yourself. So glad to see Buggy in the background. It would be odd if no one was with you.

Fuel your tractor at the end of the day to keep the moisture out So the tank doesn’t sweat. You might add a water separator or if it has one check it for water. 💦
