- Activating selective unlocking in Ford Focus MK1 will increase your safety. This feature will open driver door first. Second press of the UNLOCK button on the remote will unlock rest of the doors and the trunk.

Worked without any issue on my 3-door Focus Mk1. But my lights are blinking differently from yours, which isn't a problem at all, but is funny to notice :)

Thanks dude, got a mk3 titanium x all door would normally open now it stopped. Thanks for this? Must of sat on my remote to enable the feature. All sorted now haha
My focus does the opposite ..... press lock and all 4 doors lock..... press unlock and you can gain entry in to the car by 3 doors but NOT the drivers door..... to get in via the drivers door you then have to insert the key and turn it..... any ideas on why this is ?...

My hazard lights don't blink when locking/unlock any idea. I have forscan and there are different things about alarm etc. Focus mk1.5 2003
Is there a way to unlock the fuel tap door without using the key? By way of "hack", or accessory, or otherwise?
No, the fuel door is purely mechanical
only driver doors are opening doesnt matter if key or remote, and after 10 minutes of driving the rest are opening is this an issue or a feature?
My '99 Focus has this enabled and I'm just incapable of disabling it, no matter for how long I hold both buttons. Hazard lights blink from time to time, but nothing changes.
I don't even remember enabling this in the first place, and the car battery was changed last year... so it seems it's enabled by default.
Just tried it a few times on my 2001 mk1 and its gone. So same procedure to disable it, took me a couple of tries tho
Also my '99 ford do this i can't deactivate :(

My MK1 hazard lights is not blinking when I press the UNLOCK button and its blinking only when I press the LOCK button. Why?

Your comfort module does not support this function or is not programmed to do so. Often people report that the lost this function after car battery change.

by that i mean the car unlocks without the long flash of hazzards
So ive got a problem, when I lock the car It unlocks itself again right after, what can the problem be? It is this same model.
Frederik Mark Henriksen ford locks behave this way if door is not closed properly or central lock mechanism cannot detect if lock is closed.

Did you end up fixing the problem? On my Ford Focus MK1 I have the same issue. Checked all the sensors using a continuity tester and all the door connections worked, switches worked, everything worked. Even the small black switches behind the door latch all work. Checked the Siemens central locking module and when I lock the car, it seems to only send a positive voltage to unlock the doors (which seems to be how the electronics work on these Fords, sending positive and negative voltage). Although I found it peculiar, so I think there may be something wrong with the module. Thinking of buying one to test as they are relatively cheap.
Can be programmed again?

Podes activarlo con el programa para PC Forscan pero es algo que hasta el dia de hoy no logré hacelo si activar otras funciones pero no esa justamente

tested this with my own ford focus mk 1, 2002, 3 dors, 1.6 zetecSE and isn't working ... :/ any idea on how to perform this tinny hack from the On-Board computer :D?

ive checked the doors, they are unlocked.
The doors are all closed.
I am standing next to my car and i press and hold the lock en unlock buttons on my remote.
I also try'd it when my car were locked.
But it doesnt work. got any more idea's?

Lisanne Gahrmann this is GEM module functionality. My guess is that if it's does not work your GEM might have older firmware without that feature, GEM is faulty or something is wrong with the car that not let the procedure to activate this feature (like one of the door lock sensors does not send "closed" information to GEM).
I may also try it with different remote or fresh remote battery (voltage might be ok for short press but long press drains it).
