    Awesome work so far on the rebuild. I'm sure you already know this, but keep an eye out for your toe curve (bump steer) using the CRV spindles, the tie rod pick up point is slightly different from EK and EG (widest track width car from the double wishbone cars)

      Thanks! And no I wasn't aware actually so thanks for the information I'll have to check it, should be able to sort it with the honed toe arms hopefully

    Possibly could have had the tubular front end to be bolt on, like a bolt in cage. Could make up spares and carry one to a race just in case. Was that considered?

    • @HCRWorks
      @HCRWorks  Год назад +3

      Yeah it was considered and is a good idea but it's alot more work to make bolt on, especially if wanting to tie it in alot of places and having the engine mounted from it, not a 5 min job to change at the track either
      If I made the chassis legs individually but made a bolt on crash bar like I had before then I could have a spare but unlikely to align with the legs afterwards anyway
      Focused on making it as strong as possible and will have some smaller bars/wings on the corner of the bumpers as an attempt of a crumple zone to not bend the main structure

    Did the entire front knuckle come off of a first gen crv or just the hub? I’m looking to do a 5 lug swap on my eg and I don’t want to have to get the expensive jdm itr stuff

      Yeah the full knuckle complete, apparently the steering rod end mounts are slightly different but nothing an alignment can’t sort.
