I saw Kyrie play in a high school tournament against a team that had 3 division 1 prospects and they took an early lead against St Patrick's, Kyrie's team. Well, Kyrie took over and showed the other team how deep his bag was. Kyrie sliced em and diced em, and put em into the blender. Kyrie hasn't stopped since. 💯

What are you talking about Kyrie played with one of if not the highest rated high school players in Michael Kid Gilchrist so who cares if he was playing against college bound players when they’ve literally got 2 future NBA lottery players. Another example of overestimating the most overrated player of his generation. Irving won’t win a chip as a top 3 contributor and fits better as an and1 street baller.

They're both good three-level scorers. Luka is even better at driving the basket than Kyrie, as Luka is 2nd in the NBA in drives per game at 18.4, and he converts at 59.6%, compared to Kyrie who drives 12.4 times per game at a 54.6% FG on those drives. Their skills overlap, but that's okay when both are so elite at said skills.

As someone in his 40s I understand nostalgia for the old days, and agree that some rules have not necessarily change the game for the best, affecting defense. But people don't realize this guy's are much much better and skilled than any player back then.
That's why when some MJ fans casually say that MJ would average 50 in this NBA, they don't know what they're talking about. Those names I mentioned are easily on MKs level if not above in terms of skill. And although MJ was a much better athlete, again this guy's show that basketball is much more than having a 40in vertical

Luka and Kyrie have a very high ceiling together. Luka is even better at driving the basket than Kyrie, as Luka averages the 2nd most drives per game at 18.4, and Luka converts 59.6% of his drives into made FGs, compared to Kyrie who drives 12.4 times per game and converts at a rate of 54.6% on those drives. Of players who average at least 15 drives per game, only Giannis has a higher finishing percentage than Luka.

Kyrie has always been a great player. But we should remember a few things about him:
    - The Cavs sucked when it was just Kyrie. And Kyrie hasn't won jack without Lebron
    - Kyrie really let his team down by not getting vaccinated in Brooklyn. I'm not saying the vaccine was effective, I'm not saying Kyrie didn't have the right, but Kyrie showed (once again) that Kyrie was more important to himself than his team.
    - Kyrie is still balling. But does that style lead to winning? Are the Mavs championship contenders this year? Remember, they also have Luka, one of the best players in the league playing alongside him. Are they coming out of the West? I'm just asking.
I'm going to claim that Kyrie is underperforming for his level of talent. I think he's more physically gifted (athletic) than Steph Curry, but Steph has accomplished more with less than Kyrie. Steph isn't as quick, can't jump as high, but his leadership, true humility (I know he shimmies--true humility is measured by action, like how he stepped aside for KD so they could win 2 more rings), and his ability to make teammates better carried the Warriors to 4 rings. Kyrie made a timely shot at the end of a 7 game series and you all pretend like that series didn't go down to the end of 7 games, or that the NBA league didn't assist them with suspending Draymond.

Had Kyrie taken the vax like everyone e else they’d pay more attention to what he’s doing. I never cared for Kyrie but him having the nuts to stand for what he believes earned my respect. Now information and data prove he made the correct choice.
