I like Parma controllers. A 45 or 60 ohm for Tyco, AFX and similar types of cars, and a 90 ohm for Tjets and it's all good. Tried the controller with the variable knob, but didn't like it.
Hey Terry. Have you used any of the aurora russet 45 ohm controllers with lower res armitures? My 120 ohm tomy controller got red hot running a low resistance armature at 22v. Just asking, cuz they're pretty inexpensive on eBay.
As a newb this subject confuses me. I started out with the factory 22 volt Tomy power pack and the little, cheap Tomy controllers like everyone else. This made many cars (Mostly Super G+ but even some of my old M/T cars) operate like an on/off switch. Mega G+ cars were impossible to drive. I recently picked up some of the newer Tomy 120ohm controllers. These actually work really good with my stock Super G+ but the Mega G+ cars are still nearly impossible to drive. Are you saying I need a 45ohm controller?
so to run a super stock I need a 35 ohm? I just need some new controllers for a big home track 440 Tycos(kids) superstocks ( adults) only cars I have. thanks
Harden Creek Slot Cars I'm checking several controllers currently. How does the DS stack up against the economy Parma, and a similarly equipped professor motor controller. I actually want to get at least 4 controllers, 1 for each lane on my track. I have mildly hopped up cars, mainly improved traction magnets and tires, but I have a tyco with a 3.5 ohm armiture, and upgraded magnets, so I'm pretty sure I'm starting with a 35 ohm. Now the tomy 120 ohm controllers, I have no complaints with running my mega g plus cars...other than they're child sized. Anyway, I trust your judgement, you are an established expert in this field, so without having to buy one of each, which is your favorite? Also, I noticed that you stated the wiper drags across a pcb making contact with the various resistors along its path. Does this mean if necessary, I can go in and replace the resistors if needed, or possibly adjust my own resistance curve if I'm so inclined, and understand placement of resistors needed? Thanks man.
These are excellent with my dash Tjets, autoworld Tjets and Mega Gs
Great video. Love my DS controllers .
You can also adjust the resistance of the the trigger spring if you want to.

@Magnus Boston yea, been watching on Flixzone} for years myself :D
@Magnus Boston Definitely, have been watching on Flixzone} for months myself :D
What controller is best for HO drag racing? I run mostly Auto World 4-gear and Xtraction Ultra.
I'm looking for two 45 ohm controllers. Do u have any in stock with alligator clips?

A 45 ohm unit is a good place to start.
The mega g plus cars (with can motor) are matched to the 120 ohm controller , mabey you meant the super g plus cars ?
In what kind of power slot do you put this in?
What kind of track is that? Who makes it, where can it be purchased?
It is a custom track by Brad Bowman.
I want better controls for my carerra evolution ? what do you do about the Plug ? How Does it Work ?
You would have to get controllers for 1/32. These are for HO scale.
oh I see lol
Where did you get the concrete colored track? Thanks
Probably a Viper track.
Probably a Viper track.
can I run the 25 ohm with my modifieds and my Tjets and 4 gears ?
+JAMZ87SS I would not say that a 25 ohm is good for T-Jets. Perhaps if the armatures were low ohm in the 4 to 5 range maybe.

35 is good, yes.
