    It's strange how we all use different connections 😂 great video, if I ever build a permanent HO layout I will run proper controllers.

      The advice itry to give it quite broad. Obviously there's many factors when selecting controllers. Generally budget is a major factor. From experience what I've found is, it's better to hold off and save for what you ultimately want rather than buying an a what you can afford right now type of controller.

    💯 agreed on the adjustable controllers!!!! We use 4mm banana plugs mostly in Europe.

    Great info, thanks! I am a Difalco guy myself, DD502 is my go to controller but I like the OS3 as well.

      I have only had a brief try of a Difalco controller, I'm not sure on the model number, but it was a 2 wire no brake model. My first impressions weren't favourable, but I wouldn't want my limited experience to be a determining factor. I was looking at the DD531 as possibly the controller of choice for HO. I'm waiting for Show Us Ya Slotz to get one in for me. Then I'll give one a proper test and form a proper opinion.

      @@murdervalleyraceway Well you are jumping right to the top with the DD531. I prefer the trigger action on my Difalco. I look forward to hearing what you think of the DD531.

    wiring brake is a must have if you run xtraction, tjet, or other magnetless cars

    • @murdervalleyraceway
      @murdervalleyraceway  2 месяца назад

      Agreed that the magnet traction cars do have more natural brake due to the drag the magnet creates.
      I think the one thing I've really learnt lately after starting to drive a smaller layout, is that compact tracks drive completely differently to larger layouts. The need for braking just isn't there if the track you drive doesn't have long straights, because there's not enough time to accelerate and brake over a shorter distance. On shorter layouts the hover trigger seems to be the standard driving style required.

    Great video David.
    Can you do one explaining and showing the results of using the adjustable controls on the allpro please?

      I'll see what I can do to demonstrate the benefits of an adjustable controller. It's very much a driving feel type of thing.
      Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it.

    Recently picked up an OS3 pro, really enjoying it so far. Love being able to adjust the sensitivity and brake. Haven't used anything other than Parma econos and turbos. Would like to try a Difalco, but I've spent enough money on toys lately. lol.
