I was looking for this comment. Then they later had dialog between Vegeta and Piccolo about where he will go when he dies. I think it was just to show how well the Z fighters had trained. But still makes no sense.
UHHH YEA! DBS is so underwhelming in its execution, all the flashy animation and explosions in the world couldn't save that train wreck. You see at the time when this scene took place we actually cared about the characters. The audience had started to love vegeta for his tenacious hardcore fighting spirit. And the way he had successfully made it through his encounters with Kui, Dadoria and Zarbon through hard fought battles and working hard to achieve his power. The way he outsmarted freeza and almost got all 7 balls for his wish. When this scene took place there was a well developed story behind them, even the ginyu force had a better intorduction than EVERY fighter from all the other universes than 7 other than Cabba, and seemed like a much bigger threat than this universal tournament seems to pose. So yes this battle was more impactful both emotionally and execution wise than almost all battles in DBS
Well it is fact that Supers story is beyond absurd, with very little to no buildup or explanation as to power scaling and power increases. Are you trying to tell me that this universal tournament arc actually had good character development for the different universes fighters? Are you telling me it was a well thought out story line that made absolute sense, especially with all the previous lore about power scaling we know from the DB and DBZ franchise? Also are you telling me that i am wrong about how DBZ was up to the point of Vegetas fight with Recoome? Sure the animation of Vegeta v black /Jiren was great, but the overall story behind the entire show and the buildup to the nicely animated battles is utter trash. Hence why even seemingly simple battles like this carry a much bigger impact than anything super gives us. But hey you're right, it is just my opinion, you may just be one of those people who don't care about a decent story, with interesting motives and character development, and can literally ignore all the stupid nonsensical crap that is super 99% of the time and just enjoy flash fights with pointless transformations, and completely under developed and bland opponents like Jiren. Well thats fine, no one is stopping you from liking that. But if you wanna challenge my opinion then i am going to defend it. Seriously Guldo from the ginyu force had more backstory and personality than Jiren.
LOL oh right i forgot, if you like DBS you obviously have a horrible attention span, sorry about that, what was i thinking? LOL you walked right into that one
Well then you shouldn't have started. You attack peoples opinion, be prepared for them to defend it. I wont get into the reasons why I believe DBS attracts ppl with low attention spans, cuz you obviously want to stop debating.
This scene is intense and badass. The VA could have made it more intense with how he powered up when he was yelling but other than that the scene is phenomenal. Badass DB through and through
Ppl arguing about animation quality need to understand this was done in 90's and with a hell of a lower budget and super has a crazy budget and is standing on the shoulders of a giant the real thing that super is missing is fight choreography just look at any fight scene in z never are there more than a few frames that are similar and simply the fight is all over the place its chaotic which is what made it fun in super you get 2 guys who are really strong just throwing invisible punches at eachother and one pushes the other back and ofc there are great moments but those are few and far between simply put dbz fights look way better even tho dbs is drawn better and has a way higher budget to work with.
igor ignjatovic Super is not drawn better my friend, in fact it is drawn drastically worse. Super has a giant following and a good budget and yet they give us loyal fans shit while DBZ had a smaller budget and produced the most memorable moments in anime history. No excuses, the creators are lazy
Honestly now that i think about it we can't really know what happens over at Toei but it's kind of the usual to put more money into a continuation of a franchise that already has a large fanbase, but that is not my point anyway my problem with super fights is they just don't seem as good as z fights i can't quite put my finger on it but they just feel less interesting like nothing is really happening, like goku and hit exchanging punches is meaningless, like there is no real fight there just punches that fly inbetween 2 characters there is no life in it.
I guess he learned later that by cupping his hands he can better concentrate the beam and improve it damage significantly especially when stacked with the power of a Super Saiyan
It's called being a bratty kid who grew up on kai.those kids don't know shit, they say GT isn't Canon when it is and think z and Kai are the same and not two different canons.
Literally the only reason recoome survived so long was because he could prep for every attack seconds before they were dealt. Goku punches him so fast he didn’t see it coming and he passed out
These are Frieza’s elite, but if Vegeta had his tail and turned into a Great Ape he’d wipe the floor with all the Ginyu’s. Even during the Saiyan Saga he’d be a match since his power level of 18,000 would’ve gone up to 180,000, which is stronger than even Ginyu.
Its kinda fun that Vegeta was by far Friezas strongest soldier and yet he was looked down on by the "Elites" he was able to go great Ape whenever he wanted :D
The animation was top fucking notch at this point in the series. This was around the time I really fell in love with this show as a kid. Still love it ^.^
+Fox Mulder There is no prototype kamehameha that was shown so there might not be one. Roshi and Goku basically almost mastered kamehameha by the time we first saw them use it sooooo.
Fun fact: Yamcha was actually stronger then Vegeta at this point. Here we see Vegeta going full ham, balls to the wall trying to defeat Recoome. Nothing happend really, but Yamcha was able to take out Recoome by himself with little effort on King Kai planet
I think this scene is when I really doubled down on Vegeta. He was a villain, but what I loved about him was his cunning and tenacity. He never ran away. Even when he was desperate and knew he was outmatched, he always launched one last tactical attack against his opponent; channeling every last bit of his power and wits into trying to destroy them. If he was gonna die, he was gonna go down fighting. It gave him so much more substance than the rest of Frieza's henchmen.

I was looking for this comment. Then they later had dialog between Vegeta and Piccolo about where he will go when he dies.
I think it was just to show how well the Z fighters had trained. But still makes no sense.
@@davethomas9499 well it is filler so...
Final Fla- oh wait i didnt invent that yet... uhh... HAAAAAAA!!!!!!
Maaaan!!!! what a rush..... I've created so many DBZ fans with this 2 min clip
reecome kinda underrated. would love to see him in fighterz tbh
Recoome looks like spopovich
This one scene is more impactful than 99% of DBS battle scenes
YEP! Called IT! Ha no
No excuses, the creators are lazy
how do i put this its drawn in a more modern way but we are on the same side fuck super hail z.
I guess you have to blame One Piece then since nothing really beats it.
Well, they are already ending Super so it must not have had a large enough following.
I guess he learned later that by cupping his hands he can better concentrate the beam and improve it damage significantly especially when stacked with the power of a Super Saiyan
0:04 first SSB (before you bite my head off, I am just joking) :)
Frieza saga has some of my absolute favorite DBZ animation styles
"Suck it Jabroni!"

Awesome. Bad ass Vegeta. Excellent quality. DBZ at its best.
And people say super is better.
I just don't get it.
It's called being a bratty kid who grew up on kai.those kids don't know shit, they say GT isn't Canon when it is and think z and Kai are the same and not two different canons.
Literally the only reason recoome survived so long was because he could prep for every attack seconds before they were dealt.
Goku punches him so fast he didn’t see it coming and he passed out
Wow this animation is better than anything in Super.
hell yeah. this animation fits db much better.
Last Son lol super has way better animation then this sit down fanboy.
No no it doesnt
Watch Vegitto bs Zamasu better hen anything Z has ever done
Have u ever thought about becoming a stand up comedian? I think you have what it takes

Recoome: “You do well! Haha! You do well!”
I feel like this is just what a Final Flash looks like at base form
Final Crash
Final Flash
Final Shine
none were very final for the opponent either
Man, I love vegeta and his style
"remastered" you brutaly cut 40% of the screen ...
I miss when vegeta has this aura
1:15 First version of Final Flash?🤔
Could be like a prototype from vegeta
First Flash
The animation was top fucking notch at this point in the series. This was around the time I really fell in love with this show as a kid. Still love it ^.^
Really sucks that vegeta didn’t wipe the floor with at least recoome. He shoulda beaten everyone except ginyu and left that for kakarot.
1:09 love the prototype final flash
Vegeta was my favorite cause alll his moves were original and looked great when he did them all his blast attacks look unique to him
Ocean Dub version is better
The brutality in the Namek Saga was just amazing!
final crash? don't you mean final flash?
terry arcona final flash has yeallow beam
when he's ssj, he's not ssj here
+terry arcona This is like a prototype final flash
So what is a prototype of Kamehameha? 'Crush' is mistake there. Technique name was always final flash like all other techniques. A prototype.. ^^
+Fox Mulder There is no prototype kamehameha that was shown so there might not be one. Roshi and Goku basically almost mastered kamehameha by the time we first saw them use it sooooo.
Look at that animation, details, INTENSITY there is weight and strong impact you can feel.
dragonball super suck
...smh
Amen to that brother. Super always sucked
And yet you watch every episode and wait patiently for the next.
Dre Ray I don't watch Super. I just know it sucks
Tim Dev you should actually give names to who you're referring to exactly because you obviously don't understand there's more than one commenter here
Girls : I Dont Like Short Guys
Short Guys :
animation level infinity
Vegeta does not fuck around.
There’s none episode on dbs better than this
First documented Final Flash
Wow great, and I didn't even know Vegeta had used that technique pre-cell saga!
This was beautifully animated
