You missed one. Hisuian Samurott. It goes to town on all the rain teams running around. Sacred Sword is the bane of Archaludons existence and aqua cutter gets boosted in the rain as well so it hits like an absolute truck. Ceaseless edge is very nice for setting up spikes as well and counters gholdengo nicely. I love this mon.
I feel like Hariyama and Sylveon are super underrated as well. Hariyama has everything Conkeldurr has with Fake Out on top of that, which is more than enough to justify a slight offensive decrease. Meanwhile Sylveon is an actual nuke that can sweep entire games if paired with good support.
Generally, you don’t want 2 Grass Types on a team, and it really doesn’t love taking a Rillaboom U Turn, but I can see it maybe being an answer to Rillaboom Dondozo Teams with protean triple axel and Flower Trick.
Toxicroak is an interesting option that is starting to see more usage as an answer to the common FWG cores. It got 2nd place at a recent tournament (relatively small, but still a notable placement).
I remember when Talonflame used to always OHKO Flutter mane in the first regulation 😂 People used to rage Quit immediately 🤣🤣 Talonflame Comfey would probably be nice… Nuke everything
im enjoying covert cloak fiery dance + quiver dance volcarona next to baton pass sensu oricorio with blood moon in the back. it isnt particularly great but its pretty fun to click quiver dance + tailwind then quiver dance + baton pass to wind up with volcarona and blood moon double-boosted at the same time on turn 3
I’ve been running Talonflame next to Weezing and it’s been working really well. Turning off prankster and out speeding Whimsicott and taunting it to deny tailwind. It also gives me a lead with both able to taunt and will o wisp.
I had a battle recently that came down to our last mons, my garg vs their dozo. I tera water salt cured as they wave crashed and as soon as salt cure landed, they forfeit. One of my favorite battles I've had this format
Didn’t even mention Kommo-o when talking about fighting types, very underrated I think. It pairs really well with the Gholdnego, Talonflame, Rillaboom core + water type of your choice (I’ve been using Primarina) and lastly I kinda just slapped on Bloodmoon because I wasn’t sure what else to use but I’m sure this slot could be something else
I have a cool strategy revolving around leading Gothitelle and Bellibolt. Here's my reason for this: Bellibolt has a signature ability called Electromorphosis. This powers up the next Electric move Bellibolt uses after being hit. Plus, it also gets access to Soak, which turns your opponents into a Water type. This means that Bellibolt can hit anything with a STAB, Electromorphosis-boosted, super effective Electric move. Slap an Expert Belt and an Electric Tera on it and, combined with Bellibolt's base 103 Special Attack, those Electric moves will hit like a damn truck. Now, opponents can negate Soak by switching out. But that's why we have Gothitelle: to prevent that with Shadow Tag. As for moves, I suggest running these on Bellibolt: Soak (for the reasons mentioned above) Electroweb (for speed control, since Bellibolt is very slow) Parabolic Charge (for health recovery) Sucker Punch (for coverage and priority) (You can also run Thunderbolt if you don't want to deal with Electroweb's lower accuracy.) As for Gothitelle, you can run whatever you want on it, since its only purpose here is to trap opponents so Bellibolt can wreak havoc.
Perhaps a better partner in AV Archuladon? That way your Arch never has to worry about Snarl drops and even returning to neutral Electro Shot has a chance to start nuking when paired with Pelipper as a rain and tailwind setter. Edit: Just remembered Milotic also gets Haze, so you can hard reset sp atk drops. Nice.
something great about talonflame is actually that it doesn't have prankster, which sounds stupid but being able to click taunt and wisp into dark types is huge for it and with the high speed you only really need priority on tailwind which you get with gale wings. it'll be especially helpful into kingambit if that picks up in usage, while whimsicott can't touch gambit and dies in one shot to iron head
I think a mon that’s under rated but very useful is tropius. Japan players back before the legendary’s in reg A we’re using tropius as a wide guard user and a great support for torkoal and sand teams. It’s pretty bulky and ignored ammongus plus vs rain teams can abuse hurricane
Honestly, Comfey has been very useful to me. I use a lot of setup Pokémon (H-Goodra or Milotic) and I need to have them alive, Comfey with his high priority (+3) on healing moves, good utility on his moves like Trickroom And good general survival. He has been a threat even if his role is to do no attack.
What about Tera steel on garg? Resist the make it rain, resist the rillabooms, neutral to water. You keep the ground weakness, but it doesn’t feel like ground is that strong and they’re all physical anyway
Main issue there I see is you keep the Ground weakness, so against the Ursalunas you're still copping a super effective hit whether you Tera or not if you're on the field in front of them.
I think there's a really funny chance for wind rider shiftry with beat up beside an annihilape with rage fist in reg H, but shiftry did ironically get nerfed by tornadus being removed from the format
After using araquanid for a little bit, in a hard trick room team, it's got a really interesting matchup into rain teams. Defensively it's quite bad into the combo of pelipper + archaludon, since it's weak to both electro shot & hurricane, but tera water helping hand liquidation in the rain is just so powerful, you can one shot a fair few water types with it. These include: several pelipper, politoed, and even a hero form palafin this one time.
also, with Conk (conk go bonk) knocking off assault vest archaludon next to a blursa using blood moon or earth power has been quite useful, with just the sheer number of rain teams rn
My mamoswine team is craz as expert belt Tera grass trailblaze is slapping primarina and ice + ground + trailblaze destroys the FWG core and with oblivious you’re immune to intimidate without clear amulet which is why I prefer it to bax
I've been having tons of fun with a team that was inspired from wolfe's kommo o snorlax team and I'm sure I'd make top 500 showdown ladder if it wasn't for uni
I'm determined to get alolan Persian on the map..... Dark types will be solid the more indeedee/arma are in the meta, and it gets great support moves!! (Fake out, taunt, icy wind, helping hand) And foul play and knock off for some offense
So far I'm thinking scrafty volcorona gyarados will be on my reg h team.. probably amoongus or sinistcha (sp... thr grass ghost one) too.. trying to decide on the rest
mental herb meteor beam will get me to worlds

I've learned quite a short time ago that few people were aware of the x56 multiplier to meteor beam's base power thanks to mental herb

I don’t think Sylveon is underrated, a lot of players are predicting it will be pretty good into this meta as a Fairy Type.

i see the vision but sucker punch is a physical move and so doesn't work great for coverage
There are no good ground types so this sounds decent on paper, but it litterally loses to an inci-rilla lead, so no, i don't think it's good ☹️
A gimmick I've been having fun with is Dragon Cheer Milotice with Hydreigon. Not been having too much success but it's fun.

all these choices rock. i’ll add one more since i’ve been using it and it’s Kommo. he’s so good against amoonguss, incin, rilla, palafin.

As a Meowscarada lover, im pretty biased. But its movepool is huge I think people sleep on its versatility.
Gargenacal is super good this meta. Lots of steel and water types.
