My husband had these at a Portuguese friend's place and he hasn't stopped raving about it. I usually make half moons with a chicken filling so I'm definitely going to try this. What is that sauce you are serving it with called?
Classic recipe is done with prawns, However chicken can also be used in which case its called half moon pie. Plain cheese without the sauce can also be used for filling.

Yup, Rimpi, you're right. Just plain mayo- I think it works well with the prawns. Perhaps, any mayo-based dip with added mint/coriander/garlic/chilli flakes would be a great combi.
