Dana and David more potent in combating mental heath than Lexapro. Love you guys! Thank you for sharing your talents to boost laughter around the world!
Absolutely. I have ptsd and anxiety. Their voices and personalities sooth my anxiety and joy is always helpful. I used comedies especially Adam Sandler's movies to get myself out of a bed of depression. I could barely do anything for a few years after a series of traumas. I have so much gratitude for these comedians sharing their humor and hearts.
Try humming when you start to feel a bit anxious hum anything you'd like song wise. Hum for about ten minutes. Its the latest n greatest way to help with the fight against anxiety.
I've wondered if Norm would have done the Brady roast since Norm was the biggest sports fan (or degenerate gambler). I think he would have passed on it, though.
I'm so glad the universe created this show out of nowhere. Enjoyed guys back in the day on SNL but didn't really follow them after that. This podcast shows how talented these two guys are. Incredible chemistry decades after SNL. Without much of a script (apparently) or a format, just feels so easy going and informal, funny, and unbelievably entertaining.
@@caterpillakilla you pick the lock -- there was always some trick to get them open -- shove as much stuff in there as you can in the middle of classes when no one's in the hallway.
Thanks a lot guys, I'm trying to eat my lunch while watching this and I'm nearly hacking-laughing so hard from your impressions: Scooby Doo, Shaggy, Casey Casem...Spade's voice has the right squeak for the Scooby/Shaggy voice. Dana is legendary for Casem impression, love it! Quick thought about the Stern vs Seinfeld debacle...Jerry should've known better. Howard is UBER sensitive, always was, which back in the day, prompted destroy mode when ANYONE would say anything even remotely negative about him. Although Jerry did not directly say that Stern is not funny, he did "dismiss" his comedic abilities. He should know, you don't have to be a stand-up comedian to be funny or a comedic superstar, a la: Steve Carell, Will Ferrell etc... Anyway, glad it's resolved and hope there's no resentment, we need to unite not divide. Love BOTH podcasts from these two icons. Peace & Love
I love you guys so freakin' much. In a world where comedy is dying, you both keep the laughs alive. Thr earthquake gags made me laugh so hard I cried. I love your impressions too and viral videos. Legends. I love Superfly! 😂❤️
57:30 true story, gene wilder loved being on the set of Young Frankenstein so much that I think on the last day of shooting, he kept offering up suggestions for alternate takes and Mel Brooks was like "what are you doing? we're done. we're wrapped, we got it" and Wilder just got super despondent and admitted that he didn't want to leave... it'd been the happiest he'd been in years.

I never suffered growing up, as Dad was awesome. BUT him growing up on outskirts of Macon GA, they never had running water until he came home from being in the Navy (in1953), so his childhood was an outhouse and hand-pumped water. His shower was his Mom pouring water over his head from a pitcher on the back porch. Hard to believe but true.
So funny, busting out laughing all thru the video. Love the traffic jam, earthquake tremors were great and the clip of the confession by the old timer high school pranks! Etc.
Also I don't know if I've said this (I've meant to), but wow I love the .... emergent back and forth of these. I still Fly On The Wall, but those are closer to "just podcasts"? Like we've come to expect that format? Like, "Superfly" isn't named after the dynamic high flying action packed James Snuka at random.
When i first clucked onto your awesom show, there was a tiny, tiny picture of Kamala. As a sponsor. I tapped on it on it, and was forwarded to that lunatics donation page.. I exited, now that same space is a tiny picture of you, two, i think.
Speaking of portals, I actually witnessed and documented my friend going through a portal and never returning. It was on a booze Cruise when I was younger and my friend Vinny was really drunk and on a dare jumped out one of those small round windows, he was a good swimmer and thought he could make it back. As we later learned sharks were following the boat to catch whatever food scraps and vomit they could. So when Vinny landed they really hit the 13:58 jackpot. What made it extra sad- this was before tik Tok, because my my video of him would have got millions of views today.
David, sounds like you got the government employee treatment at the hotel. I work for the government and we get discounted rates when we travel. Often, we get rooms next to elevators, ice machines, stairwells, vending machines...and anything else that makes alot of noise.
Jerry said Howard has been "outflanked" by comedian podcasters who are doing what Howard invented. "Howard Stern invented this, but we're better than him now."
LOL Bing's AI says this about a stacked locker prank: A “stacked locker” prank involves placing multiple alarm clocks inside lockers, all set to go off simultaneously. When people pass by, the cacophony of ringing alarms becomes annoying and confusing. The best part? No one knows how to turn them off because they can’t open the lockers! 😄 If you’re feeling mischievous, you could also try the “White Out Prank” by painting over the numbers on a combination lock or the “Zip Tie Prank” where you secure all the locker edges with zip ties, leaving the victim scrambling to find scissors to open their locker1. Just be sure your victim has a sense of humor! 😉
True Story: Fred Willard used to carry tools with him when staying in hotels. The bell would drive him nuts when trying to sleep if he was too close to the elevator, so he would get his toolkit and disable the bell on his floor. Sometimes he would do it on the floor above and the floor below. This story has been told by both Martin Mull and Chrstopher Guest as an example of how gloriously nuts he was.
"Locker stacking" is a prank where someone opens another person's locker, stacks the books inside, and then closes the locker so that when the owner opens it, everything falls out
I can relate to the bottle not opening. I ordered a case of Gatorade and I have so much trouble opening the bottles. It's really torture, honestly. These tops are too large for my wrench. The hot water didn't work either. It's really awful.
Loved the earthquake part, couldn’t stop laughing, THANK YOU! There are also earthquakes in Greece, Italy and Mexico, would love to see a version of that
I watched the Jerry pod..he didnt do nuthing wrong...Tell Howard to to take a pamprin and call his liberal gynecologist in the morning..btw spade looks like napeleon dynamite in his trucker hats..lol And the elevator deal is loss prevention, housekeeping, maintenance engineers on the vampire shift
