Legit. They keep my mental health in check, I swear. A little mood boost twice a week.. I have 3 little kids and it feels like my entire life is cleaning and cooking etc but I can listen to them while doing it and laugh and somehow things are ok.
Spade is the funniest naturally off the cuff dudes ever.

I’m feeling grateful I got to see Dana Carvey’s comedy show tonight for the first time in Northern California. I decided to wear the “church lady” shirt. I enjoyed the show so much. His impressions are so spot on. I’ve been watching him since I was a kid back when he was on snl. ❤️

This is the best, most natural and funny Superfly yet, keep it up guys. I especially lov the run from 29:30 to 37:00, Dana’s Jay Leno-bot 1000 is hysterical, plus asking a lady of the night about how fast you can run the 50 yard dash as is Woody Allen trying to pay a prostitute in Dogecoin and Spade finding a Circus Circus chip

These superfly episodes are so funny. Just off the cuff takes that are fun commentary. You can really see how they developed sketches in the SNL writers room. Just random funny takes on current events.
@@WJHDetroit yep. I find it's even more interesting watching talented comics improvise with more stream of conscious spontaneity. And I'm also these guys age and come from a similar background when father's beat their kids with belts, so I can totally relate to them as well.
Really jammed packed with great material here from beginning to end. Honestly, getting guest stars is not an issue, you two hold down the fort very well. I'll try to write your producers next week with how to reel them in and relationship and other topics if that's what you're lookin 4.

I think My Three Sons actually had 4. The oldest one left the show (went off to college or something on the show) and Fred MacMurray adopted the youngest kid at that point. Mike, Robbie, Chip and Ernie.
That dating show is like the scene in Emperor’s New Groove with the lineup of suitors except they get to talk back.
This and Smartless are the two best podcasts out there. I think I’ve listened to every episode.. absolutely love them.

Nice pull on the Drake Sather reference. I used to go up at the Belly Room at the Comedy Store on Mondays and he watched my crappy 5 minute act. We ended up talking out side for an hour. Legit good dude. He bought one of my 1st paintings for his new office at Red Hour with Stiller. To look at him you'd say he's living the life but sadly he had some real demons.
This was about the time Spade was writing a cartoon with him called "Sammy" he mentioned.

A good film that covers cross culture, class and language is "Spanglish." Sandler, Tea Leoni, Paz Vega, the late Cloris Leachman, and talented others, great script. A classic.

Nothing is done about real crime - you’re so right. Walked out to go to work today to find my 6 month old car was stolen overnight. Nothing left but a small pile of broken glass. Cops don’t even show up anymore. They call you to get basic information and give you the number of the police report. Great. WTF now!?!?
I find myself doing the Lorne voice and saying, "Come and get some!" A lot now.
The funny voice Dana did about the lady working at the gym is in reference to the lady at the doctor’s office who is always surprised and confused sounding whenever he calls to refill his same prescription every month or so.

Robot maintenance requires you to replace the empathy chip every five years, but does it really need to be replaced at exactly five years? Like a car, does the oil really need to be changed every 5k miles or can it go to 6k? What if you're really busy and you just haven't had the time?

I can honestly say I prefer these episodes where they just talk to each other about things and laugh. I’m kinda getting over the celebrity guests on podcasts because it’s all about how fabulous their lives are while we’re all like.. uhh how are we gonna buy groceries.. kinda thing. Haha. No hate at alll. Just makes me happier to listen to this.
Oh SHIT I haven't watched since Dex passed away. I didn't know they even did this taped! I always wanted to see their expressions and now I can! I used to have a ritual with my husband about 2 years ago. We would get snacks at Wawa and go sit in a parking lot looking at the water and just listen to this and have a little date. Every week at 2 or 3.

I get your point: they've got $$ but playing it like they's everyday folk. I get that, but that's not my prob with their podcast. Example of The Problem: go to 30:30 - 31:00. Carvey gives Spade the perfect lead in: "...And now let's hear from Robot Spadely 3000...." Whereupon Spade starts, realizes he doesn't have anything funny at the ready, shuffles through the yuck yuck arrows in his quiver, tries to regroup, tries to start again, tries to think of a bit, hits the clutch iykwim.
Simply put, these are two of my favs, but this format--off the cuff pod, no editing--doesn't fit their training.
