    That is one serious project. When we ran water lines in the pecan orchard, I thought we would never finish. You’ll love the rotational grazing. I’m jealous. Great video.

    When your giant slinky gets twisted, is what I thought when Andrea said, “We didn’t do this.” You all are such a great hard working family love seeing you all doing projects together. You sure have had some big projects you undertook and God sure blessed your efforts with the cows, so you all should be good to go. Wow that machine is something else. Plexi is a whole other world compared to soldering/welding, so I would be concerned too, so saying a prayer for you all that all the welds hold 🙏🏼💙

    Harbor freight has plastic welding gear for making minor repairs. It works like a soldering iron and would probably work for small leaks if a pipe gets damaged somehow. Good to have around at least. That and hot glue could save you from having to rent all that equipment just for very small leaks. Check it out. Hot glue and plastic welding are handy and there is some info on youtube about it. Great job. Keep goin'!

      I don’t think we have a video on it. We buried it with a trencher that we rented. Then we installed quick connects every so many feet to access it. I’ll try to show it in a video sometime soon.

    I would have a can of hi viability paint to paint next to the joins so if it brakes you know why and you also then know where your joins are for later when and if you need to shift the pipe so you don't put the joins under pressure like dragging it around a post

    Hi, I was looking at doing something similar for pasture irrigation at my parents ranch. I was curious where you got the HDPE pipe and roughly what it costs per sq ft? I’m guessing it’s 2in Pipe is that true?

  • @johnhugon8305
    @johnhugon8305 5 лет назад

    Most likely you won’t have any leak problems if you do I’ve used SharkBite, Genova and LASCO (or something similar) connectors for a fix. The problem we have is a backhoe digging through an existing line and we need a quick fix. A torch or a heat gun helps a lot to insert the connectors than clamp with stainless steel. I’m sure your husband knows this…

    • @VWFamilyFarm
      @VWFamilyFarm  10 месяцев назад

      We still move the trough when we move the cows. We have had some tire tanks given to us to install but they haven’t been installed yet. 😂 I (Ben) personally like the trough because I can set it at different spots so the same area isn’t getting messed up every time.
