I really don’t know if you’ll see this but I just watched your videos on your accutane journey and went back to this video to tell you a big thank you! I know it’s probably random but anyways I have been dealing with acne since I was 9 and I’m now 19 I still deal with it but it’s very mild just like yours on my face and back maybe a bit more intense on my chin/jaw and was so desperate bc I tried everything with my doctor and I felt like there was no hope left because since my acne is mild I wouldn’t be able to go on accutane and then well I saw a dermatologist who told me I could but was really really anxious mainly because the only stories I could find were very negative (like the side effects but also the way they were talking, it wasn’t with a positive approach) and it was people who had severe acne... after watching your videos I cannot explain how much relief I have felt!!! like you calmed me and I feel ready to go on it and be done with it! Thank you so much for sharing your story because it truly helped me and it probably for others as well ☺️ I hope you’ll have an amazing day

You may also use benzoyl peroxide, its incredibly effective and the results will be visible after a month.
That's a really interesting point about the sweat. I'll be starting accutane next month, but I have been using differin for a few months (even though I didn't have great results, I did see some improvement) and I noticed this as well!

I am on day 12 and started noticing the very very vivid dreams a few days ago, too. Never heard about this from others, but now that you mentioned it makes perfect sense 😅

Hey, I remember I got a large cystic spot under my chin around day two and still am not sure if it was accutane or just coincidence! If your skin purges you know it’s working though so stay strong and you’ll get through it 💪🏼 and yes my hyperpigmentation all went away but it takes a while 😊 good luck with your course x

I have a question for you and the other young ladies . I am 30 , I have had cystic acne since 13 ..so going on 18 years now.
It’s been persistent obviously lol so I have finally decided to take the plunge being that it is typically prescribed for those with severe or moderate and persistent acne. It’s always been my last straw though.
Why do you guys take something such as Accutane with only *mild* acne ?
I am still fearful of what all I may encounter and I know I have no choice essentially . I wouldn’t even think to take it with mild acne. So I am curious ./ could it be social media and the desire for “ perfection “ in society today?
For me, the negative impact on my mental health outweighed any of the side effects from accutane so it made sense for me. My body acne was more on the cystic side and that's the main reason I chose to go on it and clear that up to prevent any further scarring. It's definitely not a one size fits all when it comes to making a decision about whether to go on accutane or not though

I got recommended Accutane by my dermatologist as I am on tetracycline after my treatment which caused me acne. But I don’t think I would go on Accutane - I am afraid of the long term side effects. Good is working for you!
It definitely has to be an individual decision you make. I was very sceptical for a long time as there are some potential bad side effects. Good luck with your journey whatever you choose 😊

Hi i’m almost on week 3!! It’s been really hard though cause it has been so bad lately. I think it is purging but it’s just been so hard because my confidence has been terrible. I am going on vacation in a month so I’m hoping that it will be clear by then. Do you have any tips or any suggestions. Also I have mild acne and I was just wondering if you think it would be cleared by the time I went on vacation. Thank you! Also i’m on 30mg!! I hope your skin is doing well☺️
Sorry to hear your confidence is being affected by your skin. I know exactly how you feel and it’s hard 🥺 I know accutane is different for everyone and I was lucky in the sense that I didn’t really have a purge. My dermatologist said though before I started my course that normally people find the first two months hard and then there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, so I hope this is the case for you! But if not just remember your skin will get there and that your skin does not define you. Go on holiday and have a great time no matter what 😉
You do purge when you’re on Accutane for at least 2 months. Then it’s smooth skin from then on. I was on Accutane for 7 months and purged the first two months and after that baby smooth skin. My acne was persistent mild to moderate. Healed now and on topical Tretinoin for life for preventative measures. Love you Accutane❤
And please, you must wear sunscreen.

My acne isn’t too bad but I’m starting acutane because I haven’t had completely clear skin in 3 years and I’m so nervous it’s gunna get worse then it is now before it is clear
Even if it does get worse before it get's better try not to worry or stress about it. Just let the accutane do its thing 👌🏼

Did hou change your diet for your acne before or during accutane? I’m on a diet which helps my skin but idk if i can go back to normaal eating if i go on accutane...
Nope I’ve kept my diet the same which is vegan. I try to eat as healthy as possible (as little processed foods). Hope this helps!

@@fiaflakes6440 I just purged for two months which wasn’t great then after that it was smooth sailing and now I have smooth skin like butter. I’m on topical tretinoin for preventative measures and could never live without it. But always wear sunscreen.

For me it happened pretty quickly (within a couple of weeks) 😊

@@ronasoka2663 actually I stopped using it after weeks cause it had major side effects and I got many more acne . I would prefer you to drink a lot of water as it has helped me a lot and I'm on natural healing
@@pranveeranandbut it starts to get worse before it gets better. I've heard purging part happens obviously but you have to be patient and stick to it to see the final clearing up of skin!!!!

It’s really an individual choice I’d say it’s best to not be stressed when going on it since the drug can put a lot of pressure on your body. I unfortunately can’t make that decision for you 😅 good luck with whatever you choose!

you can’t buy accutane over the counter for the reason that it can be dangerous so you have to be monitored by a professional while taking it

Hey I think it could be because of the pill when you go in accutane you have to take the BC pill so this could be a reason why people say this since BC plays on your hormones ☺️
