Thee most important thing when taking this medication is to constantly moisturize.. I’m using epimax plus and cetaphil sunscreen during the day. This also helps to alleviate the side effects which comes with accutane. Much love .
Yeah that’s what happened to me, I have lots of hyperpigmentation but sometimes it leaves dark marks if the pimple was like really bad, idk but I used to pop some of mine so I think that’s why I have lots of hyperpigmentation

Hey if any of you pop a pimple that looks real nasty, apply adapalene to it. It will literally heal it so quick. I have the adapelene from a proactive kit I bought last year and it works wonders.
I have found that the Aquaphor lip tube was not enough for me so I started using the healing ointment and has worked waaay better than the actual lip product!! I'd apply the lip product maybe every 20 minutes?? and with the healing ointment I apply maybe every hour (if I don't eat). I've been on Accutane for almost a month now. :)
as i’m watching this video i’m balling bc i’ve been going to the dermatologist for a year and a half and every time i go i get medicine that works then..... stops working of course. i just feel like my parents and doctor will shut down the idea of accutane and i’m scared to do it but i feel like i have no other options. acne is seriously making my confidence go so down it’s all i think about. i’m embarrassed to go out... but my derm appt is in 3 days so hopefully all goes well
That was literally me on and off for like 3 years. I completely understand and feel the pain you're going through! I cried like almost every day waking up and just looking at all of my acne it is the worst feeling in the world because you feel so so helpless. I was extremely hesitant about going on accutane too, I held myself back from doing it for so long. I suggest you really do your research and talk to those around you to really decided if it's something you want to do! Tell your dermatologist exactly how you feel so they can guide you through any questions or concerns you have. Good luck to you and just know that although it may not seem like it now, there are better days ahead! You are gonna be ok, you are beautiful inside and out! Always remember we are our own worst critics (literally some of my friends don't even remember me having extremely bad skin and it blows my mind because to me it was the most obvious thing). I took accutane for 3 months when I was 17 but I stopped because it was hard balancing school and work plus being angry all the time because of the medicine. I’m 19 now and I’m back on it day 23. I still have really uneven skin in my jawline from the first time. This drug is a miracle and a struggle at the same time.
I’m on day 23 of accutane and I tried aquaphor for a week and noticed that it made my lips drier so I changed chapsticks. Now I use ecolips Mongokiss and it works so well, it automatically melts onto your lips and moisturizes your lips instantly. I only apply this chapstick once per day and I encourage anyone to invest in this chapstick even if you’re not even on accutane
The first month or two your acne will get worse before starting to clear up. Use cerave facial wash and cream for face and body, and aquaphor for dry lips. Change your pillow cases every 3 days. Don't pop any Pimple's , they could scar. For dry nose also put aquaphor inside the nose to moisturize it well. If your hair is dry only use shampoo once a week, and on the other days only use conditioner.
i just finished my one month and omg, my experience was so similar to yours 😱 but i also have such a bad habit of picking my face which makes it so much worse :(
12 March 2021 - DAY 1, just got prescribed accutane for mild acne after contemplating for around a year. I was also given a clindoxyl gel to apply on acne spots at night.
Just completed my first month!! No major side effects mostly dry lips but my skin hasn’t been that dry. Going on my second month with a higher dosage wish me luck!!
Im on month 2 now and my skin is starting to purge so bad. It never was that bad. I dont know if it is bc of my period or because of purging… i feel so low atm. Hope it will get better soon :(
I take 40 mg a day and it took 1 1/2 weeks to clear up idek how I’m almost 1 month in and the side effects aren’t nearly as bad as I thought the worst dandruff and dry skin
I’m 20 days in on clavis 40mg and I’ve suffered quite a few side effects headache, rash on arm, super dry lips, eye dryness and rash on my eyelids due to allergic reaction to my Mac setting powder lol ...I use petroleum jelly for my lips and put on my eyelids to rid of peeling rash on eyelids. Rash on arm used cortisone cream 10. Also itchy scalp but I use wildgrowth oil and come back hair cream... my skin so far I’ve noticed my pores shrunk and my black heads on my nose is gone.. looking forward to my skin being clear and sorry for the long paragraph lol
Hey so far I’m finally adjusting to it.. still having dry lips but definitely noticed a change in my pores and no longer see any blackheads.. I noticed since I drive at night I’m easily to feel fatigue and have to take small naps but I’d rather do it this way because it’s much hotter during the day and much cooler at night.. I have my appointment this Friday and going to see if I can be put on 80mg 50 tabs so I can wing myself off the 40mg to increase it to 80mg because the weather is about to change and it will start to get dark early.

a lot of these videos i see people start out with low doses, maybe mines just high, i’m ending my first month and i’m on 40mg a day and now for month 2, every second day i take 80mg (take 2 pills a day) for the next 5 months

Caucasian Spirit honestly ever since like the first week that I’ve been using accutane my face has been starting to clear up! I get like cystic break outs here and there but definitely a lot clearer.

I just started this medication 11 days ago and I was prescribed 40mg! My breakouts are BAD especially on the right side of my face. My breakouts feel painful to the touch and it’s ugh, frustrating 😢 I know the results at the end of the medication are worth it but I’m feeling so horrible and low. 🥺
Ive been on antibotics now for 6months... I almost running out so my mum rang up and so im on Lymcycline?? Idk if anyones herd of them? I dont eat dairy&now since April ive been eating gluten free and thats whats helped clear my skin up SO much!! 😁also my skin gotten so much worse at the time now i do have a few spots here and there but my skin always got worse before it gotten better... All i have is now scars which im trying to get rid of slowly so im using pampered stretch mark oil for my scars which also are helping.... 😁😁😁
Dude I’m probably a little to late but I started accutane 6 days ago and wow my side effects suck, besides dry lips and face I I’ve been feeling emotional but I tend to go about my day also sleepy tired and ringing ears or more like somewhere in your head you can hear the ringing tinnitus which is annoying also feel like my metabolism is slow and not to be disgusting when doing #2 it kinda hurts as if your dry lol 😂 but no bleeding or no stomach pain and I’m barley on day 6 smh not sure how long I can last but I need this I’m done with cystic acne 😩
For everyone who starts with accutane: don’t was your hair much!!! I have naturally really oily hair that I needed to wash every 2 days but with accutane my hair is dry and thinner. I wash it now once a week.

Erin Allen oh trust me it hurt a lot, I just honestly did have a really bad habit of messing with my pimples. Maybe cause I wanted them off of my face so bad. There were times when the pimples weren’t even ready and I would rip the skin and pop them. And I still remember that cyst between my eyes and how it felt lol not enjoyable at all
I hvd heard about the carnivore diet. They say its really gud fr ppl with skin issues youcan try it. I have fungal acne because of the antibiotics I took at that rym I didn't take probiotics it fucked up my gut my skin. I have a long way to go in terma of healing bit I hve stopped eating packed foods and I eat low fiber ,low carbs, high fat. You are really pretty I hope u can heal. I know how hard it is to live with skin issues.
Omg I'm pretty sure that was what my acne was from! I took doxycycline for the longest time and it screwed up my gut so I got horrible horrible acne from it. Thank you so much for your kind words!
I don’t consider myself to have acne but I deffo have more spots than the usual teenagers in my school. It really hurts my self esteem and i wear a lot of makeup to help cover everything :( if anyone has really good tips on how to get rid of them small spots on ur forehead and chin let me know x

I’m so scared to be on accutane , I heard tons of reviews , I had bad acne now ‘ I get cyst every month when I stress bad or else when I get my period , I’m also scared to be on birth control due to the side effects too . I heard about this can cause your organs to flare up 😭 I’m also scared cause I heard it will make your acne worse & come back after taking it 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

Lucky, my skin hates both 😭 I broke out with cetaphil and my skin got super oily with CerVe. ( I have both, oily and dry skin😔.)
I’m on accutane as well. I have a tip for anyone who’ll take it. If you pop a white head, put Neosporin on it to help it heal a lot quicker

my dermatologist just told me today that you could put aquaphor or vaseline on the inside of your nose to help with the dryness!

I'm just 18.I'm on my 2nd week of 10mg accutane.. Derm suggest me to take 10 mg for 20 days and then 20 mg for another 30 days.. Wish me all the best

Honestly no not for me I have never really had a problem swallowing pills lol! Just take with a huge gulp of water and you won't even notice!

Erin Allen oh trust me it hurt a lot, I just honestly did have a really bad habit of messing with my pimples. Maybe cause I wanted them off of my face so bad. There were times when the pimples weren’t even ready and I would rip the skin and pop them. And I still remember that cyst between my eyes and how it felt lol not enjoyable at all
I hvd heard about the carnivore diet. They say its really gud fr ppl with skin issues youcan try it. I have fungal acne because of the antibiotics I took at that rym I didn't take probiotics it fucked up my gut my skin. I have a long way to go in terma of healing bit I hve stopped eating packed foods and I eat low fiber ,low carbs, high fat. You are really pretty I hope u can heal. I know how hard it is to live with skin issues.
Omg I'm pretty sure that was what my acne was from! I took doxycycline for the longest time and it screwed up my gut so I got horrible horrible acne from it. Thank you so much for your kind words!
I don’t consider myself to have acne but I deffo have more spots than the usual teenagers in my school. It really hurts my self esteem and i wear a lot of makeup to help cover everything :( if anyone has really good tips on how to get rid of them small spots on ur forehead and chin let me know x

Masa _AK normal. Accutane can cause eczema. Your doctor should be able to prescribe a cream to help.

Im on my second month of accutane and I have super dry nose. Put vasaline . Just a tad. definitely helps
I’m so scared to be on accutane , I heard tons of reviews , I had bad acne now ‘ I get cyst every month when I stress bad or else when I get my period , I’m also scared to be on birth control due to the side effects too . I heard about this can cause your organs to flare up 😭 I’m also scared cause I heard it will make your acne worse & come back after taking it 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
