Back to watch your 1st video!! I used to have a jeep, I miss it, especially in Winter. This one is well built and has a good amount of space in the back for storage.
Language of “ japanese mini trucks rise in popularity among America ” was broadcasted on japanese TV program yesterday. The Fuel consumption, the size and uncommonness seem popular.
It was an alternative to an ATV for me. I had a Polaris Ranger side by side. Time to get another one & I decided to buy a Subaru Sambar instead. Works great!
Coincidence.. a Subaru mini Van similar to the truck pulled in front of me yesterday and I was like awesome I want one of those! Don't see much around here but the truck is the one on my list. Reminded of me of when I was in Japan. Thanks for the sub by the way👍😀
LOL! No kidding, that sure is. I've had it for several years now. Replaced my 2011 Ranger. The truck still has an inspection sticker on it from Japan. My pleasure bud, thanks
Have you had any troubles with the lift kit installed? I have a '93 and have been tempted to put one on mine to gain some ground clearance but I have heard stories about issues with the CV shafts afterward. Thanks! Great videos.
Thanks Bob. No, I haven't had any issues at all with the lift kit. It's a 2" lift and I wouldn't go over that. I've seen issues with lifts that are more then 2" like the CV shafts that don't line up. I really needed something and so far, the 2" lift is just enough to clear everything that I have to deal with. Best of luck to you.
I've wanted one of these for years. I'd love to get one but I'm saving for a Toyota FJ. Tired of driving my 01 f150. But one of these mini trucks would be perfect around my house. Could finally make a camp setup on our property and haul everything down
Nice choice on the Toyota. It is handy for sure. I had a new Polaris Ranger side by side. Needed to come up with a bucket loader quick so I traded it in. I bought this used the next year. Glad it worked out like that! It's a 97 but in real good shape with low miles. Found it in Ohio for 5400. Had them put a 2" lift in & the big rims & tires on. It ended up at 7400 including the shipping to Vermont.
POPUP that's not bad at all. I'd be using one mostly as a toy haha. As much as I love American pickups I just can't deal with my ford anymore. The Toyotas are super reliable and I've always loved the FJ
It's a lot of fun, plus you can bang the gears! 5 speed. I use it a lot around the house, trail riding, & for work, clearing the trails. I've had about the same amount of Ford trucks & Chevy trucks. I'm driving a 2012 F-350 now. Never had a Toyota truck. A car only. Had an old Nissan truck 100 years ago. I really like the FJ's too. They look like the old models from years ago. Best of luck bud.
so this how my homie started out, awesome first vid bro. and pushing 20K views congrats in what 15 months? that's a sweet number bro i'm looking forward to getting 1k views on something. i only have over 500 on one and 3 or 4 others that are getting close to 500, great job and interesting trucks. a few local ranches and resorts have these trucks i think i have seen about 3 or 4 in town. very unique vehicle.
My 1st. And my 1st surprise when someone actually watched it! It's been a while now. Thanks. You just need to be seen more bro. They'll find ya. It's a handy truck & works good for what I do. I miss my Polaris Ranger. It could really tear it up! Too small of a bed in the back & by the time you buy the doors, heat, AC, etc. you're getting into some big bucks! The Subaru Sambar is right hand drive. I go to get in the wrong side all the time. Even without the Captain!
It's pretty much bagless. It's got a 660 in it. Had it up to 40 when my girlfriend told me to slow down. Haven't had another chance on the dirt roads yet. It's not registered. I guess if I changed the tires I could. Mine's a 97 but the new ones have a 900 in them or more by now. I liked the older style where you sit above the front tire. It's pretty handy though! I use it for off road work only. I'll be looking for some mud next summer! Hamma time!!
I got in new in 2011. I had a load in the back of heavy topsoil and put it in park. Couldn't pull it out of park until I got a push to relieve all the pressure. Best to have both. I don't know if I'd trust just a parking brake either on the steep hills. Polaris machines are a lot of fun though and I think mine could swim.
Looks like a perfect ride...'cause they drive on the opposite side of the road here, driver's seat, included. This is on my soon to-do list: learn to drive here. :( I just hope i can get back off the round-abouts or I'll be driving in circles for days.
+Across The Pond That would be quite different - driving on the left side of the road! I'm sure you will do just fine on driving. Best of luck to you! Lol!! Yes, I would probably be going around in circles too!!
Not sure if anything is best. I've got a Ford F-350. I need a 1 ton truck to plow & sand in the winter. I really like my Subaru Sambar for summer work like trail clearing. Thanks for your visit & have a great day.
Thanks! 12 inch rims. Tire size is 24X8X12. I ordered the truck with the rims, tires, and lift kit already on it. I tried to see if there were spacers behind there, but I couldn't get in there far enough. It's buried in snow!
They're out there. I looked at a lot before I bought my Subaru Sambar. The Subarus have the engine in the back so you use 4 wheel drive a lot less because it gets better traction. Also it's a lot quieter in the cab. It's also more stable going down steep hills.
My son is 6-2". He fits in there ok. This truck is a 97. The newer ones may have more room inside. The seat adjusts. I'm only 5-7, but I've got more then enough room. Where are you from?
I hate when people ride mini truck like utv or atv in japan we use it in landscape and trucking use but in usa people use them for fun like utv or atv and this thing is not a utv its a real truck
Yup, it's a real truck. That's why I use it for my landscaping business and for fun. I had a Polaris side by side. This works much better for me with heat, AC, and everything else. It's not as fast, but I get there eventually.
Around 12 grand for a new one. I got mine used. $5600.00. They put a 2" lift on it and oversized rims and tires. After that and shipping, it ended up at $7600.00. I've had mine for 8 years now and haven't had any problems. A new battery last year and a sensor replaced. It's a 1997.
Where could I but one of these?! So awesome and great video bud! I imagine most states won't let you register it but, it'd be great for just riding around some acreage.
The place where I bought mine has gone out of business. You can go to G&R Mini Trucks. They always have a pretty good selection there. They are fun & handy to have. Thanks bud!
Japanese. LOL! You're not likely to see a Trump sign anywhere around here. Ha ha, Vermont is in the Northeast corner of the United States. Canada is an hour North from here.
*Hello Friend, 😀 nice video! good presentation Big LIKE 594👍full watched! Ciao. have a nice time! 🙋♂*
Thanks, you too! 👍
Kei-truck is very useful. I am Japanese and I often use kei-truck in my job.
Yes, they sure are. I use mine all the time too. Very handy.
Back to watch your 1st video!! I used to have a jeep, I miss it, especially in Winter. This one is well built and has a good amount of space in the back for storage.
4 wheel drive is nice to have in the winter. Yes, it has been a handy little truck.
WOW, what super useful small truck!! Great job on this video!! #207
Thanks!
Have got a Suzuki 4x4 mini truck here in the uk, road registered great little truck off road.
I use it off road only. Works great with a 2" lift & Bear Paw ATV tires.
Where u get it from in uk myself toying with idea
Would love to get me one of those; thanks for sharing and for the helpful info Mister Popup... cheers
Fun little rig. Cheers!

Thanks. Handy as hell bud.
Outstanding footage
Thanks
Great video pat, first time I've seen a switch to select gear between 2 and 4wd on one of these kei trucks.
Thanks! The original Subaru cars had the switch like that too.
cool truck man! I've seen a lot of these on vacation in Tennessee in the pigeon forge Gatlinburg area
Thanks Lance, it's very handy.

That's a great idea
Like it even more when it starts getting cold this time of year!
You would have a blast with that up here, we over a 1000 mile trail system here.
That sounds awesome!

i like it
I am not sure if you are a car salesman but you have definitely sold that vehicle to me. I would buy it in an instant if I had any money :)
LOL! Not a salesman but I do like cars. :)
i like them little trucks
Works real good guys!

Thanks Steve!
That's a cute little truck, never heard of it before :-)
It's from Japan. Pretty handy!
Cheers Roger!
Any trouble with the rear mounted engine interfering with the ground when off-roading? How good is the shrouding or protection?
I always straddle the rocks the best I can. Just put up a new video for ya Zach. Should answer all your questions.
That little thing looks quick.
It's pretty much bagless. It's got a 660 in it. Had it up to 40 when my girlfriend told me to slow down. Haven't had another chance on the dirt roads yet. It's not registered. +Pat THE LANDLORD Bennett when it turns 25 years old you can register it.
Right. I might trade it before then.
The biggest they ever had was a 660cc. That's the limit for the Kei class.
Thanks for driving me away in the first 10 seconds .
Yup, should've closed that door.
wow wow it has AC one it wow very good
Nice & cool in the summer & no bugs!
I'd take one of those.
Could of sold it 100 times! :) Yes, it's very handy!
+Duncan Imports and Classic Cars thanks but have a friend with one that needs minor work. It was just be for fun for me since I don't work anymore.
What year Ranger 500 did you have? Mine is a 2001 and it has no park on the trans but it does have a parking brake.

wowsers....
I can say I knew you before the 21k
most awesome!
Thanks. A lot of people like this little truck I guess.
海外の方に「最高!」って言われると、自分の事じゃないのに嬉しいな。しかしアメリカやカナダはF-150やエクスカージョンの様な大きいトラックが人気みたいだけど、まったく真逆なスタイルだけど好評で何よりです。
Not sure if anything is best. I've got a Ford F-350. I need a 1 ton truck to plow & sand in the winter. I really like my Subaru Sambar for summer work like trail clearing. Thanks for your visit & have a great day.
返信有難う御座います、F-350もお持ちなですね!サンバーで楽しんで下さい。良い週末を!
You do? That's awesome! I;ve ha d the Sambar for 5 years now. Like it a lot. Thanks, you too!

Thanks! It's a handy little truck.
I saw one last week here in montreal. It was a Harley Davidson looks like yours
nice! whats the rims and tires size and did you just installed the rims or you add some spacer on it?
Thanks! 12 inch rims. Tire size is 24X8X12. I ordered the truck with the rims, tires, and lift kit already on it. I tried to see if there were spacers behind there, but I couldn't get in there far enough. It's buried in snow!
Cool! Im taking note on rims and tires size... Thanks for reply!
The tires are Bear Claws. I'd buy them again. Not sure on the rims, but they're a popular style and should still be available. Best of luck Victor!
Really wish the beginning didn't have the high pitch key chime in it. I'm sure I missed some info and specs I'd be interested in.
Wish I had closed the door too. Sorry about that. I'll try to help out with any info you'd like.
I have a hijet with a/c that I turned into a fully functional 4 bed RV.
That's cool. I'd like to see it.
on my channel
What part of the country you in? That is a awesome truck!
I'm in Vermont. Thanks! It's a pretty handy rig.
can u tell if u know any website for suzuki carry or any mini trucks
website

Man i want one so bad..
They're pretty handy Alex. I've had this one for 4 years now. No problems at all.
Pat THE LANDLORD Bennett damn thats awesome.. i saw one rolling in here in vancouver washington they're so freaking small and 4x4 wtf!!
Just like a shrunken truck. I've got a bunch of videos I did with the truck. Check em out if you want. 4x4 with the push of a button. Even AC bud!
How hard is getting replacement parts?
coolcamaroo12 i guess that would depend on what part broke.
How tall are you? I think one of these little trucks would be really useful and unique but I'm 6 foot 4. Dunno how I'd fit. I fit in a CJ5 jeep.
My son is 6-2". He fits in there ok. This truck is a 97. The newer ones may have more room inside. The seat adjusts. I'm only 5-7, but I've got more then enough room. Where are you from?
If it were a Chinese mini truck it would of fallen apart 1 mile up the road.
LOL! You're right.
Hey, I'm in Vt looking to get one of these. Do you know if they're street legal here?
They told me at the garage, if I change the tires, they would inspect it.
i have one but not hijet, mine is Himax 1000cc mini pick up
Never seen the Himax. Mine's a Subaru Sambar. Wish mine had 1000cc.
Hello I would like to know the price and where I can buy one?
Price varies. Try G&R Mini Trucks & tell them I sent you there. Used ones are cheaper.
Sound like a mainah!
LOL! A-yut, I'm in Vermont.
Gah damn that MAINAHHH accent lol
LOL! I'm in Vermont. A-yut!
i want left hand drive u have one
Manual steering?
Ya, but it steers really easy.
I hate when people ride mini truck like utv or atv in japan we use it in landscape and trucking use but in usa people use them for fun like utv or atv and this thing is not a utv its a real truck
Im not commenting you but just SOME people use it like an atv

@@popup1959 Can they carry a walk behind(36" belt drive) and push mower?
If it fits. It would be tight.
@@popup1959 they weigh between 400-600lbs and will make a 1/2 ton squat if the suspension isnt up to snuff
Is this in nova Scotia?
Vermont.
Pat THE LANDLORD Bennett accent sounds like the boys in new Germany, Nova Scotia.
Nova Scotia isn't too far away.
It's got to be nice for you, driving on the correct side of the car for a change? :D
Haha! I go to the wrong door every time!
MPG?
Never figured it out. I'm guessing around 40 MPG.
they are not ment for daily comute right?
If you put the road legal tires back on it, you could register it for the road. This one has a small engine. 660 cc.
is it 4x4?
Galih Adi yes
Yes
how much for base model?
Around 12 grand for a new one. I got mine used. $5600.00. They put a 2" lift on it and oversized rims and tires. After that and shipping, it ended up at $7600.00. I've had mine for 8 years now and haven't had any problems. A new battery last year and a sensor replaced. It's a 1997.
Street legal in Oklahoma.
Here too, if I put the stock tires on. Thanks.

Chinese or Japanese truck. LOL, why do I picture a "TRUMP FOR PRESIDENT" sign at this guy's front yard? :-))) Is Vermont in Canada or Mexico?
Japanese. LOL! You're not likely to see a Trump sign anywhere around here. Ha ha, Vermont is in the Northeast corner of the United States. Canada is an hour North from here.
Come on! Don't follow the stereotype. Learn some geography! :-))
LOL! It is what it is, and where it is. :)
An hour from the border? Im guessing you're either in Danville or Hardwick :-)
When you do a VIDEO of a vehicle, CLOSE THE DOOR!!!!!!! Some people have SENSITIVE HEARING!!!!!! That is why I gave THIS video a THUMBS DOWN.
Thanks. My bad. My 1st video. Didn't really think anyone would ever watch it. Surprise!
@@popup1959 I have very sensitive hearing. Those buzzers hurt.
