I thank you! My husband received a freightliner Cascadia2021 rig and he loves it. A nice truck. Ride smoothly. Thank you for treating my hubby so good
That wavy, nearly dented right side of the sleeper shows you that fine Freightliner quality.
Questions. If you off this new trucks for home time or its shut down for extended time..how long will your food stay cold before the battery need recharging from the engine??
Tt
I drive a 2021 Cascadia day-cab for different company and we all hate the brake assist! Sometimes the truck will brake by itself when going down the road as it comes across a shadow from an overpass. Its scary when you're doing 65 and the truck slams on the brakes by itself
Yup, I have an uncle who drives for UPS and he says the same exact thing.
Very nice truck. Optimized Idle is fantastic.
My birthday is in August and my wish is Schneider can replace me with this new truck. LOL. I don't want the old model anymore.
Honestly having driven both the new style and old style Cascadia's that schneider has, i prefer the older ones. Much better visibility out the front since you don't have that visibility destroying box right in the middle of the windshield, and the bumper isn't so low that you tear it up anytime you need to go over a speed bump or a low curb
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts about the new trucks. We are always seeking driver feedback especially regarding equipment.
@@schneiderjobs This truck needs to be launched in our India.
I drove tankers for Widing out of their Portland yard in the 70s. Ran between Portland OR and Richmond CA. Left trucking in1979. WOW the trucks of today. If they were like that back then I would still be driving. Back when I drove no A/C no radios small sleepers with a pad for a mattress. 4 speed main box and 4 speed brownie or 13 or 15 speed Roadranger. I love driving but hated being home maybe 9 hours a week for months.
does it have a spot for a CB radio to be installed or a place to install a small microwave?? I am wanting to get my CDL and im considering you Scneider. can you give me some information on the whole process??
God this is one beautiful ass truck ♥️
very nice
I might go back to Schneider lol
If you care so much about safety, why is there no sleeper escape door on the left side? You don't drive it so you don't care. Great! It has one on the left but if the truck falls on the left your trapped inside a possibly burning truck.
well I doubt you will flip if you're sleeping...
@@mauriciorojasking8418 there are team trucks as well as spouses that ride along.
High winds topple stationary trucks all the time.
Steve with opti-idle 2-hour recharge cycle that's the perfect wet stack interval to clog the 1-box. if the parksmart came with solar panels you wouldn't need to idle at all. I have two thermoking solar panels and it keeps the batteries topped off at 13v all night under minimal street lights, 13.8v in the sun, like $2k for two panels and the charge controller.. think about how much more longevity you'd get out of engine/aftertreatment without needing to idle at all, plus even less diesel usage
More cameras outside is sweet but inside is too intrusive given people live in these. I've notice most headlights that come OEM are horrible even if they upgrade to LED's, I hope these are actually good. Lane departure and blind spot I prefer having a visual light on the A pillars only vs that buzzer. Fridge is sweet, that and a microwave should be standard on all sleeper cab trucks. Now if you guys can ever fit a compact shower/bathroom, I would like to shake you hands personally XD. I hope the auto braking got better cuz I had some bad experiences with it hitting the brakes when it had no reason to do so. LOL you know people did not like that low bumper but looks like they are improving the design. Nice truck guys.
Since when does a trucking company need an engineer? The truck manufacturer has all they need and it doesn't cost you his salary.
Any disc brakes?
Yes they do. And they are excellent
Great
How many miles go per gallon…? Talking fuel economy
I would love to join as a cdl driver but I am in India and don't know how I can reach you guys
Same here bro..
Stay the hell there we don't want you here.
@@thomaswilson8634 ok sir

Trust me...stay in india
Well I know the trucks have opti-idle, but I thought Schneider equips APU's on their OTR trucks. My friend had one when he worked there, and I am soon starting in a week from now. I'm just glad my truck won't have the disgusting ugly digital dash! lol.
I also like the regular analog gauges
Yeah the one factor that would mean a lot to a fair number of truckers os whether or not they can hook up a game system to the tv and run it.
Exactly lol.
It only has the mount, afaict the TV you get would determine that.
are your trucks governed at 63 or drivers go 70?
65

Driver comfort: remove the brake assist and that stupid lane departure. Nearing two years I will not drive a truck with those features or a company furnished dashcam. Opti idle is trash. Trying to sleep and the engine turns on and off the entire time. Single bunk? Again nope. Should have a workstation and top bunk.
@A Russian Beast yeah in the middle of an intersection? Traveling in your lane? Through construction?
Workstation and top bunk would be sweet as a solo driver but they need to keep these trucks open to team drivers so that wouldn't make sense sadly. I like lane and blind spot warnings when they are only visual like some cars have on the a pillars.
Does this truck come with front camera? Me is if a driver front of you hit you. The camera caught it.
I always have a front facing cam..I use 2....those biggers on these north American roads like to mess with 18wheelers till they are out of water and TP. Then they looking to bring Danish n coffee to say thanks ...smh
It's a nice truck . Can you say who get on the list to be offer these??
Is it new drivers...the tanker dept or drivers with afew yrs at the company??? Like 5yrs or more??
@@alphamaletony8899 it's done by seniority first
@@sabiti5428 Not true I got a 2022 truck yesterday and I started back in November 2020. I think they go by how many miles your old truck has then it gets turned back in.
Damn Schneider couldnt spring for painted bumpers
Given how low that bumper is and how it's going to get banged up because of it, painted would make it more expensive to repair/replace. Personally, I like the black plastic bumper more looks wise as well.
I personally think people rely on technology too much
Yeah this is a team only truck too😅
If you watch the video objectivity you will notice that 4 minutes is spent on how the truck benefits Schneider. and 1 minute on driver comfort.
I'm not sure why a driver would care about the arodynamics or efficiency of a truck he gets paid by the mile for driving.
Because it is about trying to save emissions into the atmosphere, sure they get to save money on gas but why not? Any business need to find ways to cut costs without sacrificing too much on the job. It is not evil for a business to find ways to make a profit, PLUS less fuel usage means you dont have to pull over as often so it also benefits you
Not to mention that if Schneider is efficient and can save money they hopefully will pass a percentage on too the drivers. I drive for them and have a 2022 and it is definitely not a O/O spec truck. But it has everything I need, 8” memory foam bed. A very comfortable and adjustable seat spec. All the gauges a driver would want/need to monitor. XM radio, inverter, in cab fifth wheel release, a switch to do a pre trip on all the lights without having to jury rig something. PWR windows and door locks. It may be basic by today’s standards but I bet it is still nicer than quite a few drivers own personal cars. Also many have a impression that Schneider doesn’t pay as well as other companies but I make around 75,000k a year sometimes more sometimes less. And I am home every weekend and sleep out in the truck only once or twice a week. And only more if I don’t want to drive home or want to maximize miles. Lastly my DBL’s treat me well. They understand when I have to take a day off for family reasons. I would say some of the old trucks are crap as Schneider holds onto their trucks longer than most major common carriers and some of account DBL’s I have talked to could use a little training in treating their drivers less like a commodity and more like a person. But I’m the years I have been here that is rare. Schneider is not for everybody and everybody is not for Schneider of course but I really believe if you set a life goal for yourself, work hard, accept there will be bad days(traffic), weeks(truck breakdown)or sometimes months (winter). Then you will prosper just about anywhere. I’m specifically talking about myself here at Schneider.
@@DB-qm4jx here, here! I’m with Schneider not because I make the most out of all the other companies but because of all the help I get with anything I need. Too tired to keep driving but the load is about to be late? Not a problem! (As long as you don’t abuse it) and really anything else that they do when most companies like to micro-manage you in everything like telling you when to take breaks and when to sleep or calling up your dispatcher because the truck broke down and having to hear yelling on why your not maintaining the truck
This video is misleading, the truth is Schneider has old equipment.
This is really nothing. What about amenities? No fridge, no microwave, no inner spring mattress?
if you go to 4:03 you will see some of the driver comfort features.
Was a memory foam matress.
I get my truck in two days. My friend just got his today- no fridge, or microwave 😕
That my son name
Don't let this company suckered you into a lease. It is configured for them not you. Only people with no money an no experience get suckered into their lease then they have you. DO YOUR HOME WORK. Cascadeias are CHEAP. You will pay a hellva lot more than they paid for it.
This is true for any lease too
comments from racists dont matter
Not true. But you go ahead on and keep spreading false information.
@@nightbloodrayna What in this video is considered false information?
Drivers should be sleeping in motels not the truck
They had me sleep in low end hotel, twice with bedbugs....only management get Hilton hotels. Trust me...I'd rather have a truck with a bed without bedbugs
More and more it's all about eliminating the driver completely.
I'm suppose to pick up my truck in a couple of days....why it don't have a fridge at least....no fridge...no microwave....no tv mount....yall a billion dollar company....I have to spend money to trick out the entire truck for basics. You know we have to live in these right? How we supposed to eat with no fridge /microwave. It's not like we can go thru a drive thru at 2 am thru taco if we get off late. 😕
John 14:6 🔴
[6]Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
In this short video I developed a sincere hatred for the guy talking about the truck.
Too bad most drivers will not have APU’s/EPU’s, refrigerators, Inverters that actually make sense power and functionality wise, etc. You will constantly be told you idle too much, never have fresh food, and sweat while sleeping at Schneider in smelly slip-seating trucks :(
Everything in this comment is false. 98% of Schneider trucks are equipped with Thermo pack APUs that you can use for A/C and heat. They also have 2000 Watt Pure sine wave Inverters. Very rarely do you have to use the crappy Opti. idle if hardly at all. The APU keeps me very comfortable. Also every driver is assigned their own truck except a few of the local haulers. The only time you may have to deal with a slip seat is if your truck needs major repairs. Being that Schneider keeps their trucks within 2 - 3 years old, it is extremely rare.
Someone doesnt know anything about Schneider, they are a company who keeps their trucks new and in good shape while iv'e worked for companies where if its not over 500,000 miles, you dont need anything new. Only reason they dont show the frigs and such in this video is because they are showing new things about the truck, not all features
Optimized idle has been out for a very long time nothing new no big deal at all
Company man 🤢 through and through.
Hello sir my name is irfan i am intrested for truck driving i am from india. Can you teach me. I want to know in which country you are teaching.

Stay there
Nothing is a high class when it comes to a piece of s**t truck made in Mexico not in American made truck because I’ve personally picked up from Laredo and deliver them to the dealership
Do you know what America means don't be stupid?
The most rude and ignorant comment here, there was even a guy being very racist but this comment takes the cake on being so damn ignorant
Schneider's OC in Charlotte has some country boy racism going on there. A few blacks had to work twice as hard as whites to pass. When I reported the bias I was told not to worry about others and study more. Terrible experience
Thank you for sharing your concern. This behavior does not represent who we are at Schneider, and we will take appropriate action. We can assure you that one of our core values is respect.
