    I don't know but if this is any help, the original user's guide refers to the bobbin direction, with diagrams, showing that the bobbin spool should unwind in the clockwise direction. The little thing that sticks up upon which the top thread spool is placed, may be referred to as a "spindle."

    Hi there yes, I recently purchased a 237 supposedly in good working order, and after a quick oiling tried it out, but it keeps bawling up the top thread and eventually breaking it. I was hoping I may have been threading it incorrectly, but after watching your tutorial, looks like I was threading at the same way, having a tough time now figuring out why it keeps trying to cut and ball the upper thread

      When you press on the foot pedal - do so very lightly. If it does not go, use your hand to turn the hand wheel (on the right) and get it started.

    • @markayw
      @markayw Год назад

      I wish fast was my problem, but mine is very slow. To answer your question, the problem lies within your clam shell foot controller, it needs to be adjusted inside. Andy Tube on RUclips has a video you can watch on how to make adjustments to the pedal but if your not sure if you can do it, then take it to a sewing machine repair shop. Hope this helps, I'll have to get a new pedal for mine.
