These had an early exclusive launch earlier in the month, that's why you see the "SOLD OUT" message. The wider, more general release of the shoe is on the 23rd this month.

Inspiration from Yeezy; however, his slides are extremely retail li tied so I believe this is a great alternative for the general public who don’t want to pay resale prices.

The design is more disruptive than the ye slides, and for me, more original, I don't really see the "copy" because the ye slides are very "normal" in terms of desing, at least for me.
It's not a blatant copy, they more mean stealing yeezys design style in general

I got a pair from Adidas at launch. I have Yeezy slides as well and the only similarity to me is the fact they are one piece of foam. The profile is very different and the material is a lot lighter and more flimsy on the Adilette. I like them and think Ye is just mad because Adidas one upped him and made something better.
He’s mad because they justify making his prices at one price point then take his design and deminimalize it and overtly put their logos lower to drive sales towards those that can’t hit on the app they make difficult to buy from. Also giving credit to another designer as if he came up with it.

The only thing that is similar is the all foam construction. The shape is still closer to an adilette from the past than a Yeezy. If he wants to complain about the construction, go for it, but if he is saying the slide is a knock off of his, I'm not seeing it on this one.
There are about 3 other shoes in their catalog that he could make a better argument with.
Since your a smart guy name a slide that was made in one piece and before the Yeezy slide … we will wait he started the whole mold look foh if you think otherwise

These slides are fire I will definitely be picking up a pair I like that sand color way. I do prefer the Yeezy slides because they are more wearable but the new adilette 22 slides are definitely dope.
I walked into Macy’s earlier, discovered they have a Finish Line inside and found these sitting on the shelf. Copped.
Honestly I struggle to see what was so revolutionary about the Yeezy Slides’ design that Kanye thinks he can claim ownership like this.
At the end of the day they’re *slides,* the silhouette of the Yeezys didn’t exactly re-invent the wheel, if you know what I’m saying.

To me I think personally its not just about the slides. Adidas has been making similar products to Ye's design for quite some time now. Theres a lot of similarities inbetween those products. but i do agree with what you say though. i just think this case is different!
Pay attention to how almost every brand decided to make there slides thicker similar to Yeezys after he dropped.

The slide looks nothing like Yeezy slides. It borrows no design elements from the Yeezy slide and the only perceivable similarity between the two is that they're made from one cut. Aside from that, Kanye must be delusional enough to think he created the universal slide design that's been used since Ancient Rome. foh.

I'd say he thinks the pattern of the MX versions is the same as the foams MX colorways and seems like the actual body of the slide is the same as the yeezy. Just trying to understand what he's trying to say.

Like a week ago every yt channel was comparing it to yeezy slides so dont act like noone thought it looked similar. And why would a partner company compete with him without no feedback its just stupid.
These slides aside from some colors do not look anything like the yeezy slide lol and the whole thing is dumb. The main characteristics of the yeezy slides are the outsole , which the adilette doesn't have the ridges at all and the smoth upper which the adilettes definitely don't have. If these are similar than every slide ever made is similar.

I don’t think Kanye actually cares…this is all free marketing for the adilette slides. Adidas teases the slides with a shock drop, people start talking, Kanye posts something controversial to create more talk, it makes headlines, people start talking more, hype keeps building. The shoes officially release June 23rd and sell out. He was in on this one for sure.

These remind me of a mash up of Yeezy and Salehe Bembury crocs. Ye is trippin though, he literally copied crocs with the wave runner and Nikes roshe run with the 350. He gave the silhouettes more life with twists and I think adidas revitalized the slide with the 3D print look. They also made them to where wide footers could wear them. Yeezy slides get a little narrow toward the toe. I will be trying to get the sand and black slides when they restock.
you're right i thought it was just me, i can tell the yeezy slides are comfortable but its so difficult to get my foot into it (with socks on) sometimes because i have a wide foot if my feet were able to just slide into them easier i wouldnt think to try this model of adilette slides but imma try to grab the sand color
@@_bsmooth yeah with socks it’s really difficult to slide your foot in or out. Most people use slide with socks around the house so you would think they would make it a priority to focus on that. Goodluck on copping your pair!
not really valid comparisons, the foam runner while inspired by crocs is a completely different silhouette and shape. It has similar elements, but if you put them side by side they don't really look identical. The 350s are also very different silhouettes than the Roshe.
kanye still tripping though, the adilette 22 is way more unique than his own slides even if the shape is similar
@@frescosmalls my point is that he gets inspirations just like adidas did here. We agree on the same thing though. Adidas just revamped the slide but made it for a wider consumer. The mixed colorways might be a rip off of his Mx foams though. That’s a more fair argument that the adidas slide and the Yeezy slide as far as silhouettes.
on what earth do the adilette 22's look like the yzy slides / are they inspired by the yzy slides?
yzy slides are totally flat textured and adilette is blocky and rough and the outsole on the yzy slides is not similar to the adilette aswell so i dont see where they are similar at all or even inspired at all
both my girlfriend and I have entered every yeezy slide raffle on Confirmed. We've never won any. If Kanye made them accessible enough for resell not to be triple retail these wouldn't be needed. They're made from one material idk why they can't just make more.

They can make more but don't. This is by design.... Adidas manufacturers are not going to knowingly destroy an inflated market, but rather capitalize on it to the max.

Simple, if you are a RUclips reseller or just reviewer with links in the description that gives me commission when you purchase, I will recommend you to buy both. But whatever you do, do not save your money and buy knock offs or reps. That does ME no good, even if YOU save money for an identically comfortable pair. So I will tell you that the more expensive one is SOOO much better and more comfortable to convince you to buy it. Cotton On has some pretty good Yeezy-ish slides if you want that look. I'm sorry if you truly believed Kanye somehow invented MORE comfortable slides after all these decades of slides. No one could figure it out but him. Not Nike designers, not Adidas. It took Kanye West to create a slide that was finally comfortable? Oh god that hype people fall for.....

Urban Outfitters. Half the price and almost identical. I got a pair on sale for 20 bucks shipped. Usually 25. I'm just not paying that much for slides and the UO are stable and comfy, too. To each their own. If Kanye wants to complain, go at the ones straight copying. As for the adilette, I think they're safe from copying. Ye just mad, yo 😂🤣🙄

Which I can purchased for less then $20 on sale in a myriad of colours btw. There's no way I will pay resell prices for a pair of slides. I just can't fathom.

Where you got some Jordan's that are TRULY a GR not sold out and as soon as they hit stores and size that do get sold out restocked in a week.

The general shape is that of a regular adidas slides that come out way before yeezy slides ever came out. So, idk what people are talking about.
The reason why Ye has a problem with this is because he doesn’t earn a royalty on the sales of the adilette, like he does from the sales of the Yeezy slide. So basically adidas is stealing Yeezy designs while not paying Kanye anything extra for it. Basically imagine your business partner taking your design and selling it through a separate brand they own themselves so they don’t have to share profits. Plus, releasing knock offs like this potentially dilutes the market / popularity for Yeezy slides. So from his perspective it makes perfect sense why he’s pissed.

The yeezy slides are basically a riff on a classic Japanese slide thats been out for years.
To that extent these are closer to the original Japanese slide in profile then they are to the Yeezy. And how do you copy something that is in itself a copy. I actually like the look of these better than the Yeezys.
Regarding the size. I wear 11s in almost every kind of shoe; going off your recommendation, I bought the 11, but when they came they were way too big! I went down one size and the 10s were wearable. I could possibly go down to a 9? But, then the footbed would be very close to being too small. If you always wear socks you could be OK just going down a size?
I gave my 11s to my buddy who normally wears a 13 1/2!!!!!!! And he complained they were too big! They weren't his feet were already at the ends of the slide, but he has kind of a narrow foot and I think that's where the issue is! The strap that goes over the foot is too loose, I especially notice a gap to the outside of the foot which makes the shoe feel loose. If I slide my foot far enough in so that the foot is snug, my toes stick over the front edge. I feel like maybe this is where the Yeezys might be better, because the toe area on the Yeezys looks more compact. If you've got thick feet down one size is probably OK.
im entirely out of the loop on sneaker culture so im probably missing something here, but why is there any drama regarding yeezys and these? They're both slides yeah, but that's pretty much the only similarity. Each shoe is visually distinct from each other
Will these be good for driving cuz I just got another pair of Adilette Comfort Slides but I'm scared to wear then out cuz I'm afraid they won't last but I've been thinking about getting the Adilette 22 slides but want to make sure they'd be good for driving and will last pretty long and dl they come with the usual adidas slides cardboard hanger that most of their slides come with or not.

To be honest I think it is childish that Kayne is mad. At the end of the day he is rolling in money because adidas let's him be free with his creativity, who cares if adidas tries to cash in on their Kayne's hype. This sneaker game can be so petty sometimes and TBH its a little annoying on. Maybe it's time for me to step away fron the game for a while.

The bothersome thing about al this that no one is talking about is teh fact that Adidas would rather release this (which are great for the consumer btw) than simply make more Yeezy slides. At the end of the day, they're the ones keeping the Yeezy products scarce when Kanye himself has said that he was them to be commonplace. Even if it's not a copy or whatever, in it's ethos it is very much a slap in the face to both consumers and Kanye West as they simply don't want to fulfill the promise they made to keep selling out of Yeezy products.

Adidas regulates how many yeezy slides drop at retail 60$ with Kanye getting a cut. Then uses a incredibly similar design for a slide 5$ cheaper and some y’all don’t see the issue 🙄. People keep talking yeezy slide resell price but forget the actual cost is cheap where instead of these they could have made another batch of yeezys

Yeezy and adidas slides are similar in terms of the shape , but there are loads of differences which make it enough to not be a copy of the Yeezys
E.g. the sole is completely different, where is a futuristic grid type pattern on the adidas slides as opposed to the plain Yeezys , there is Text on the adidas slides. Kanye needs to chill it’s not a rip off IMO
