Jail saves most of the older guys. I remember being a teen in N.O. and when I heard someone in the street getting killed at like 25, I used to be surprised they were that old and automatically thought they must have been in jail for a few years. That's grandpa age in street years for people who were shooters.

Growing up in New Orleans, y’all have to realize that the killers were the big dogs. Our gangsters didn’t believe in sending hits. Money wasn’t that long here for shit like that.
