    Thanks for another awesome video! Finally getting my doubles tomorrow, which I really enjoyed your video in which you taped them up. Got a big roll of Stealth Tape, used it on my new LWCG 1.0 and buckles; makes a huge difference! You can bet I'll be following your instructions for taping up the doubles. Good luck this season and hopefully your electricity came back on!

    Great video, I have the 20 inch doubles, so far so good. I've been stacking them parallel across the stand v bracket with the standoffs facing away from me. Gear ties to secure sticks then Place my pack on seat shelf . use cam strap to tighten down. Rock solid.

      I wasn't a fan of stacking on stand seat post either. Try the style of packing the doubles I described may free up ur seat shelf space. I believe revive outdoors has a video on it too utilizing the wolf pack

    Great video! You should go ahead and attach the aiders to either the doubles or the minis. You won't have to carry so many in. It also helps seat the double.

    Sweet man, I own both as well but haven’t hunted with the minis yet. I like the doubles but have had some issues over the last 2 years using them. Gonna put both through the ropes and see what I like best!

    Yeah i went with the 14" because i wanted to pack them horizontally on the seat so the back pack sits directly against the stand. I can now remove the pack or sticks without touching the other one. its perfect. its only a total of 12" of loss overall to the 17". i can make that up in an aider.

    I use the minis and applied beeswax to all the moving parts. Zero noise and easy movement. If you loosen that nut you'll have to replace it with a new one though.

    Have you or do you think the stand off bolts on double step would bend? I see them bending when you put your weight into it to set into tree.

    I have the 20"s compacts with aiders and was thinking of switching to the 20s double steps! I dont like all the moving parts on the compacts, they squeak like crazy and will fail at some point. And all the extra steps folding the steps down and turning the v brackets gets old. I want a stick I can grab off my .5 and put it on the tree. I can run 3 20"s with the aiders and usually get high as I need, depending on cover and setup , But I do have 4 sticks. A stick with no moving parts will last longer and should never fail you on any hunt.

    How long are the steps you step on and are you away from the tree more then the original LW sticks? Bigger cold weather boots on the otiginal LW steps can be tricky.

    • @buckeyebowhunter
      @buckeyebowhunter  10 месяцев назад

      Without measuring them I’d say distance from the tree is pretty comparable. The actual steps are much longer and tapered at the ends, feels way safer

      I actually just put a cable ader on my bottom step to test it out here the next few weeks. Im not sure if im gonna use them on each step or not. I havent really found it anymore difficult to hang the stand with the compacts vs the doubles. If your up there for a long time your leg may get tired but i havent had that trouble yet.
