Absolutely love that mentality from elite athletes. Doesn't matter how low the stakes are, if they get it into their head they are doing something. They are doing that thing no matter what.
It would be much more popular if it was cheaper to play. I played in the '90s, which, as far as I can tell, was the last time you could comfortably call ice hockey a "middle class" sport. Unless a child lives in a place like Warroad, Minn., where ice time is free and covered by the city, his family has to have quite a bit of extra income for him to play hockey.
Always had tremendous respect for Syd , also I've played and also watched alot of hockey and I can say this with all certainty no one skates like crosby he has to be the strongest on his edges then anybody else He looks like he could play for another ten years
