Excellent production. I was honored to attend the original Broadway production (at the Imperial, I think). It was an entirely fun evening. Quite a few great numbers, Cleo Lane in the box seat behind me for the opening number, My box almost on the stage to where a cast member rushed over to tell me to shut my eyes when the whole theater was prompted, and my favorite actor Jerome Dempsey (whom I first saw as Van Helsing in Frank Langella's Dracula) in a wonderful role. This video represents the energy and talent I saw when I saw this production's original Broadway cast. And like Princess Megimoo, I'd have loved to have seen the full production.
The choreography reminds me a bit of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party from "Alice In Wonderland" with all the characters changing seats around the table!
