After watching this for the 60th time I've finally figured it out. Matt has such a smooth and emotional voice and can convey that love for her so well, and Bonnie has that killer belting and range but also the ability to change her voice from soft and emotional to powerful in seconds, so they go together sooo well.
Her vibrato gives me chills!!

He really is an amazing actor, you can barely see it. He's trying so hard to control how impressed he is when she hits that first big belt. It's almost like it surprised him.

Bonnie is one of those artists where I will see any show she is in… she was the best thing in Head Over Heels and is just ASTONISHINGLY good in Kimberly Akimbo. Her voice is perfect, of course, but her acting is even better.
