    I have never thought I’ll look in RUclips to figure it out. I installed 2 solar panels a few months ago, by myself. Here I can’t even put a battery in a trimmer. 😂

    I actually returned one because I could not pull the thing apart to insert the battery but watched a video, not quite as clearly presented as this one, to figure it out. The oiling tip is much appreciated. This tool is really the best one to get rid of all the miscellaneous stray hairs that drive you crazy. For the small price, it is an essential grooming aid.

    THANK YOU! You saved me 1) from losing my mind and 2) from having hairs pulled into the cutting blades but not having enough power to cut them. All it did was grab onto the hairs and cause pain. Give yourself a big pat on the back and please accept my gratitude. I was considering having to throw away the (not that old) trimmer and buy a new trimmer. Now, I simply changed the battery, and it's like an entirely new instrument. Happy!🙂

    I tried doing what you said but the case would not slip off. I used a pliers, but in the process, broke most of the teeth from the rotator. So, I wrote Wahl explaining what happened. Amazing how you just pulled off the aluminum casing. MINE WON'T COME OFF. I finally got it off with a pair of pliers, inserted the battery (after I figured out which was the + end) and it worked fine. But now the case is stuck again. NOTHING will pull it off. I think this is a major design flaw, reason enough to return the unit for a refund. What to buy next?

    • @WindersRanger
      @WindersRanger  7 лет назад

      you know the more I think about your comment it may be a design flaw of some sort. Mine wasn't hard to pull off at all from the first day I bought it. Ive noticed in various stores that carry this item that some seem to be slightly different colors from the one I have. Its possible there are different manufactures make the same item? I'm not sure... it might be worth contact Wahl about your issue.

    Wow thank you so much, but now I feel really stupid that I couldn't figure it out on my own! Thanks again, I have had mine for about 6 years I think and it just slides right off.

    I was struggling big time. I didn't have the removable blade part on yet and I could not get this off. Thanks!

    Mine won't come off, doing exactly what you are in the video. I emailed Wahl, and they never responded. I'm pulling with so much force, I'm surprised I haven't cracked the plastic.

      Maybe try a little penetrating oil to see if that loosens it up some. Also make sure the trimmer head is attached when you try to pull it apart.

    Horrible battery insert design; afraid I would break this damn thing. Thanks for the video!
    I just got home from Walgreens.
