Good morning, I would like to ask you for information to understand better, as I am not an expert like you, in order to be able to control the resistor is only placed in the connectors without shorting bars. Thank you
No. When you put a resistor in the circuit, you are tricking the computer to think the airbag circuit is complete an getting the required Ohms. But in reality, you are disconnecting the airbag from the system.
We have a fleet of '21 Siennas. The rear seats have been permanently removed to provide more cargo space. Seems like using resistors or emulators to make the warning lights go away wouldn't do any harm?
It would not cause any harm. If the SRS light is on on the dash the whole system is not operational. When the light is off you airbags will work in an accident.
I've never tried using one on a crash sensor. I don't no how they work. I would just replace the sensor since they are cheap to replace I would think. Never had a bad crash sensor. I would think the sensor works from an impact and returns back like it was after the impact is my guess.
@eric almighty the crash codes are in the srs module and the light won't off till the codes have been cleared. It doesn't matter when you put the resistors in to bypass the airbags or the seatbelts that are not working.
@@SawmillerSmith i just removed my airbag module to get it sent off to be reset. I ordered 2.2 ohm resistors and I have a 2017 nissan maxima. Is 2.2 enough?
You can use a resistor to fool the computer to make the part that needs repaired or replaced in your system system. The crash codes need to be removed from the system module that is usually between the seats.
@@albertgiles5128 What makes you think it's not legal and is unsafe? If you mean the airbags will not deploy that's true. But it makes the rest of the system operational. Some airbags have been known to harm. That's why there is a huge airbags recall. It might be illegal in your state. You need to check your laws. You don't have to do it to your car if you don't want to. Some may not have enough money to replace the airbags also .These newer cars have 10 or more airbags. A few go off in a minor accident the insurance companies total the car.
@@albertgiles5128 California laws are probably different from other states. As far as I know someone can do what they want to there own car in many states. I would say a shop has to repair the srs system back to original. I'm just showing what I did to my 2018 Malibu to turn off the srs light. The police inspected the car so I was able to get a rebuilt title. Airbags don't have to be replaced in this state for your own use.

2 gold, 2 red circles is a 2 Ohm resistor.
Thabks for the information!
Do the airbags function when you use the resistor? Or is the only purpose to turn off the airbag light?
No. When you put a resistor in the circuit, you are tricking the computer to think the airbag circuit is complete an getting the required Ohms. But in reality, you are disconnecting the airbag from the system.

what about the crash sensor is that also 2 ohm? What if you put the wrong type in will that set off the air bag?

Is it use resistors 3 ohm 2 watt? How much resistors we need?
That should work.
Do you need to replace the airbag module or that doesn't matter as long as the resistors are in place?
Crash codes have to be removed from the srs even if you use resistors
@@SawmillerSmith okay do I get the airbag module reset and then put the restrainers in?

You not show nothing how to get light out
