  • Wondering how to turn that airbag-light off? How many ohms etc? Get your answers in the video.
    Keep in mind if you are doing this while installing an childrens seat, please check that if your car have side airbag curtains that you are absolutely sure that nothing that isn't supposed to happen - can happen. Consult an technician if necessary.

    totally legit. worked On my 2004 ranger, got tired of getting "you are going to be blinded by our product" letters and removed the air from the bag region. 2 ohm .25 watt resistor shut the light off for me. liked and subbed.

    Hey great video. If i wanted to make my own what can I use as prongs that will not affect the resistance? I tried using a 1.5mm solid copper wire 1.5 inches long on either side of the resistor, but it didn't work, I got a fault code from a functioning airbag with it plugged in to test if it worked. Would the fact I used a 1.5mm solid copper wire have made a problem and changed the resistance level from that the resistor that was 2.2 ohms 1/2 watt so then I got a fault reading when I know for sure was fine before I tested it. Thank you!

    My 2004 Honda Civic SiR has the airbag light on all the time. The connector that I need to use to turn of the light is impossible to get to up under the dash. Could I use a 2ohm resistor to short each SRS component one at a time to locate the problem? Will the airbag light clear automatically if I locate the right connector? Thanks, great video

    Hello! Thank you for this information! I have taken my front seat out but people will still be sitting in the back seat when I am driving so I was hoping that if I connect the resistor to the connector coming from the car that the airbag would still be released in the case of a crash, to protect the person in the back seat from flying through the front window. Would that be the case or is it just a trick to turn the light off? Would the airbag still deploy with the resistor plugged in?

    • @EFreddy
      @EFreddy  3 года назад +3

      The front airbag will still function yes. I take that you want to put a resistor as a replacement for the non existing seat? The system as a whole will function as normal with a resistor. 😊

    Just one thought.
    If u put a to small resistor in, the airbag light will se this as a faulty airbag and bring the light on.
    But What happen if u put a to big in?

    • @EFreddy
      @EFreddy  Год назад

      Yes that's correct. Depending on car it'll pop up an other fault code regarding this. It'll say something like "airbag circuit one implausible signal" or something like that 😊

    Hello.! Brother. Your ideas are awesome. I have a same problem related to my front passenger seat. I replaced my front passenger seat to the handicap seat. Now the indicator is blinking red light. What should I do now in this case.? I need solution from you. Could you please guide me.? I want the whole air bag system to be working well without blinking red light in the absence of front passenger seat. Is it possible brother.?

      In this case resistors is the way to go. The thing is there's various preferences on cars regarding wich resistor to use. If you're unsure of wich works on your car. Grab yourself an scan tool and start with the resistor with the lowest value. If it doesn't fly - start over with one with a higher ohm-value.
      I hope this will work out for you!

    Hello, I got a problem with my ford focus 2010 seatbelt buckle. And I know ford has some steps to disable the seatbelt chime but I did that a few years ago and it worked until now, so I read some forums that said that the problem was the seatbelt buckle microswitch, therefore the complete seatbelt buckle assembly should be replaced.
    Tbh im college student in Mexico so I dont have a lot of money to spend and I was wondering if I can do the same method to bypass my seatbelt buckle microswitch with a resistor as I saw the same method used in other makes and models.
    So to simplify what I just wrote the question is, ¿Can I put a resistor? If I can ¿what would me the resistance in ohms?
    I hope you answer because I drive this daily and the fucking chime is gonna make my head explode smh.

    Might consider the air bag uses TWO ignition coils, one to each connector. If the connection is open, (not conducting) but the air bag is showing 2-4 ohms on each connector, a crash signal will only fire one of the two charges inside the air bag. If the connection inside the air bag is not reading 2-4 ohms then the air bag itself is failed, shorted or open. This is what the alarm is trying to tell the driver, a device is NOT arming properly. Bypassing it with a resistor will trick the control module to put the light back off giving a false sense of security. The problem is an under-inflated air bag may be more dangerous than NO air bag.
    The engineer that developed the air bag died of a broken neck, (early 60's maybe) while testing a way-to-violent early design. Just be warned, if you sell the vehicle and the buyer is injured in a crash, whoever bypassed the circuit with a resister would likely be liable if discovered. Be wise.

      Bought a 100pack and just wandered thru my neighborhood disabling airbag lights. Scam was easy. I offered to simply clean under all their front seats for free to test my new koken 1/4 drive flex neck. 💪 ps McLaren did not accept the 2.0 or 3 3, driver seat needed a 2.2 and the passenger required a 2.7 ohm resistor (2012 12C).. S10 (1999 ZR2) took all 2.2ohm including the DRL sensor in passenger dash soeaker...😅😊

    my airbag deployed, I actually bought the resistor and manages to remove the fault code whenever I run diagnostic but the airbag light still on

    • @EFreddy
      @EFreddy  11 месяцев назад

      Most likely theres something called "crash data" that is stored in your airbag ecu that need to be cleared.
      Some brands can "restore crash data" via obd. Mercedes e.g. can do this. Others are more tricky and may need an airbag ecu swap and coding.

    In witch yellow socket should I conect the rsistor for deployed side curtain airbag ? And what for the yellow socket under front seats ? And how to remove crash data from airbag module ?

    • @EFreddy
      @EFreddy  Год назад +1

      If there are more than one airbag connector, it needs one resistor for each connector you encounter.
      Regarding clearing crash data the answer may vary. If you are looking for clearing this yourself you should check out if the product "Carprog" has your car model in their vehicle list. Maybe you can find help there with that :)
