- Actor James Remar showed up for The Warriors panel before the other cast and reacted to The Warriors trailer that was shown, plus discussed his thoughts on the trailer, the premiere and Dexter.
James Remar showed up on time for his panel and walked right in… while the other Warriors waited offstage, not knowing he was already there. This gave us an incredible opportunity to have him react to the trailer for the 1979 classic movie The Warriors, plus give his thoughts about the movie before the panel began.
James Remar played Ajax in The Warriors, but is also known for his roles on Dexter, Black Lightning, Total Security, The Huntress, Mortal Kombat, Third Watch, Sex and the City, The Grid, North Shore, Jericho, Battlestar Galactica, The Shannara Chronicles and voice roles in The Legend of Korra, Beware the Batman, Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, Ben 10: Alien Force, Ratatouille and Justice League Unlimited.

I come to find actors who mostly play villians are the most humble, nicest actors around. James Remar is known to be such and it shows
Imagine that...they are common people who work.
His rudeness and shrudeness are vague,hoax and a cinematographic
In real he is one of the nicest person in this earth. Such a deeply humble and volcano crust guy. He is my crush for the charisma and charming persona

James did a outstanding job as a bad guy on 48 Hours playing Ganz also.
Billy Bear his side kick is also in the Warriors if you look close he’s one of the cops in the subway scene chasing them .
I watched The Warriors last night and I never get tired of seeing it. Ajax was my favorite in the movie. James Remar did a fantastic job with this character! Walter Hill even said that had he known how popular Ajax would be in the movie.........he would not have had him arrested and taken out of the remainder of the movie. No one liked that scene with Ajax and that undercover woman cop on the bench!! Entrapment! And it just wasn't cool at all! If there ever was a remake of this movie........it could never be the same. It would offend so many of the Cancel Culture crowd, lol. Two other movies that people might like that James starred in: Quiet Cool.......he is a cop. And, Windwalker.......he is an American Indian. Both are over the top fantastic. But he will always be my Ajax in The Warriors!!!!!

You're right. I was rooting for Ajax to win, pin the lady cop to the ground, rip her clothes off and . . . .
Saw Quiet Cool because the title was badass! Dont remember the movie though, just that it wasn't long, like a hour or so.
Unfortunately, it was a foreshadowing of Ajax's character when Swan said to him during the initial run in with The Orphans: "You never were that smart!" Definitely missed Ajax the rest of the movie, but Swan, Mercy and the other supporting cast did their job through the end.
Fast forward to present day and now James voices the cop who arrests a female version of Ajax in the concept album for the musical version of The Warriors!
James Remar is such a great actor and I loved his performance as "Ajax" in "The Warriors" and as "Ganz" in "48 Hrs." (1982).
And also was Corporal Hicks in Aliens, but during filming was deported from England due to legal issues. Legal issues that now are trivial compared to what they turn a blind eye to now.
The Warriors was comfortably the best pre-eighties film of them all
Not even close. The Godfather, Taxi Driver, The Deer Hunter, Alien and Rocky were better than The Warriors.

The music featured in the trailer for The Warriors was "Betrayal (Sorcerer Theme)" performed by Tangerine Dream that was in the 1977 Roy Scheider thriller directed by William Friedkin, "Sorcerer".
Tangerine Dream also performed the opening theme for Three o'clock high.

Although I adore the score from Sorcerer and everything Tangerine Dream did in all those movies. Warriors had it's own awesome soundtrack.
Great movie that never gets enough credit.
Seeing James speak on this movie with this type of enthusiasm all this time later is special to see. In a cult classic like the warriors, being one of the most memorable in Ajax, you’d imagine this guy would get sick of hearing about the character the same way bands like Paramore and panic at the disco get sick of playing their oldest singles that got them famous to begin with. Almost like it’s a bore and they’ve moved on from the art they once created. But I think this is what really makes an artist. Long live the warriors
James is absolutely the BEST. I met him twice at Walker/Stalker Con in Illinois. I absolutely LOVE him 💜💜

Michael Beck and James Remarr my favorite actors. I wish they were in more work! They are all so underated!
Michael starred in a short lived police drama called Houston Nights,only lasted about one season.

My name is Moïse Morancy. I’m the writer, director and producer on this proof of concept. I also star as Cleon in this. If you’re like me, someone who appreciates and loves “The Warriors,” you know in 2005, Rockstar created a video game based on the cult classic and gave a backstory to how the gang was formed. Myself and others believe this needs to be remade as a prequel. No one can hold a candle to the originators but I wanted to pay homage and give them their flowers. Because they weren’t good…they were “the best.”

This is one of the greatest movies of all time! A pure classic! It’s a very unique plot! Something that exists but is not really discussed!
Wasn't that trailer just awesome! I have to say how much I friggin love James Remar, ever since I saw The Warriors when it first came out. I have enjoyed him in every role I have seen him in, I even loved him as Albert Ganz in 48 hours. Now seeing him "in real life" as James Remar the person coming out for the fans, I love him so much more. Just such a genuine and naturally cool dude and a favorite actor of mine. Thanks for this.

He's a great actor!
The man had definitely aged well. For those looking for other great product from James, his appearance in the Al Pacino film Crusing and his excellent performance in an episode of Miami Vice are two great examples of his acting.
He also played a corrupt cop in the comedy “The Dream Team” and had a small appearance as a villain in “Judge Dredd”.
As I recall Ajax looked at the other gang members like they were all crazy as they cheered Cyrus on.
I can’t say how many times I watch the movie my fav movie of all time great movie great actors and great gangs wish the movie was longer 😞
He could very well return in some sequel of The Fast And The Furious! This guy is iconic in everything he does.

TRIVIA: The Scene in the park at the Conclave when the camera is Panning around at all the Gangs, right in the centre of the screen is a guy looks like a Basketball player standing over 8ft tall and to this day ive yet to find out who it was (i even thought it could be kareem abdul jabbar )despite knowing every other piece of trivia connected to this brilliant Classic !

I love the Warriors along with Streets of Fire and am so glad I have both DVD's in my collection. Ajax and Cowboy are my two favorite characters and I can easily crush on the latter. Awesome movie!
