Yes clutch unit.
I like your videos, thy are authentic and useful. I am driving CBR 1000f sc 21 and 24, non dual, since 1988 and repairing everything on my own. So anyway, looking your videos is a great pleasure for me. Go on, i hope we´ll meet some day!
Cheers Claus Peter schmidt, this is a very nice comment thank you so much and I'm very glad you enjoyed it.. 👍
Great vid as usual is it same on the 24 as this cheers bud.
Thank you for your kind comment, to be honest I have never seen inside of of the 24 engines but I would guess they are different..
@@jonyr1TT thanks bud have a good xmas.

If only changing clutch plates.
It does not need clutch basket special tool.
Am i right?
Good video
Yes you are right buddy no need to remove the basket unless the clutch is snatching when taking up drive.
If all else fails read the manual, but don’t until you’ve tried everything else you can think of hahahahahahahah!
I know it's finally on but it's upside down and it's still gotta come off because this bit as to go on first.. We never learn lol
Good to see some progress on the cbr John, thanks for the vid.
Thanks J, I will get it finished one of these days lol.

HI.

this link may help you.
I have a feeling I will be watching all your videos for the 1988 CBR1000f. I wasn’t looking for my Hurricane, but I got a great deal on it and now it’s time to start learning. The bike is 100% complete thanks to the previous owner, has only 6064 miles on it and hasn’t been ridden since 2015. I have bobbed an 1982 Yamaha XJ650J and learned a lot of things about that bike. I got a deal on a 2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250 which only needed the two carbs cleaned and rebuilt.
Point of all this is to ask you where in the heck is the clutch cable on the CBR1000? There’s no resistance on the clutch lever, it appears to have enough fluid in the clutch master cylinder. I have not gotten around to starting this bike yet as it needed a battery and a good amount of plastic surgery and new paint.
Will the clutch lever have resistance once I get the bike started?
Great video and glad I found your channel!

Buenas me podrás decir como reparo el tensor der alternador de una honda cbr 1000f año 93
Hi
You need to separate the engine halfs to get to the tensioner.
when i start my cbr the starter sounds sluggish and engine wont fire uo,i was told it was the starter clutch dampner only problem is i dont know what the dam thing looks like, any help please
It's what the starter motor engages with when you start the engine. A gear inside the engine. Hope that makes sense. 👍
How many km he covered before replacing the clutch?
48000 miles 👍
Can you please tell me how much the clutch slave cylinder should move?
Mine is only moving about 3mm or less and is not releasing pressure on the clutch plates. I’m thinking I have a problem with the slave cylinder.
If you've got good pressure at the clutch leaver the slave cylinder should be ok.
@@jonyr1TT The clutch lever actually feels a little too easy with no resistance. And like I mentioned the slave cylinder is only moving about 3mm.
I would replace it with a secondhand slave cylinder.. If that works then all good,,, if it doesn't work then you'll need to remove the clutch and check the springs and clutch centre for deep notches they can be filed out if not to deep... Also old engine oil can give problems with the clutch.
@@jonyr1TT I removed the master and slave cylinders and cleaned them out, replaced with fresh fluid and now it works great.
My new problem is that the engine revs high when changing gears. Do you know what could be wrong?
Is it ticking over ok on idle?.
👍🤞
Cheers buddy 👍
