3:45 The black puff wasn't you getting sparks on hit, but the self-destroying HEF-I rounds added to the Mk108 universal belt in the recent belt changes. The HEF-I in Mk108 doesn't reach too far before they destroy themselves, 1/4 of the ammo will be wasted if you shoot from long range, plus the HEF-I rounds have way less explosive mass than HEI-T rounds. That's why the universal belt is not really recommended, the night belt is probably better.

With things like the Su-11 at 7.0 and the La-200 at 7.7 this plane could go down to 7.7 as well.
Is not blatantly OP as the ones I mentioned as it is still just a ME-262 on Horse Steroids, the Guns are slow velocity and slow firing and its turn rate is just barely enough.
As someone who is experienced in the Me-262 A and C this plane could counter very well planes at early jets with disproportionate performance to their BRs, without breaking the BR itself
If we talking about BR, look at italy. We don't cry almost, we just fck soviet crybabies up on 9.0 in full uptier to 10.0 every single game. Also we didn't get gripen, but we had it irl. Italy got old and new gripen IRL, Hungary got old gripen IRL but brits getting south african 2017 shit in WT. There was 8.7 on italy - guess what? Soviet crybabies ruined it to 9.0 while having thier old 8.7
I still remember when this thing was absolutely uncontested back in 2018-19 when the MM was factional and you fought teams of mostly P-80s and F-84Bs and such

Defyn, do you think if Gajin set ARB match making range to 0.7 it would fix alot of the compression issues?
Would still be bad but it's definitely a step in the right direction
It’s more like increasing the maximum br to 14.0 would be the most realistic actual fix at the very least
0.7 would impact all brs, but if br range is extended to 13.0 at minimum, it would be possible to fix early jet and 9.0-10.0 range
Increasing to 14.0 puts jets that have the highest capability at the top without forcing less capable jets with them as high, which would allow things to be placed more appropriately, you have no idea just how much it would help every plane

I researched this thing 2 months ago and didnt even put a crew in it because I thought it would be a 262 with a little accel boost at 8.0
Gaijin also had the bright idea of moving the Vampire up to 8.0, just because it turns......

5:16 this is why this plane was very annoying for me when I flew it, especially vs A5 sabres. Here if you wait a little longer before going for him, he can and probably will actually dive out after stalling and get his speed back before you get to him. But if you don't wait he can just pull into you and deny the shot because you turn so bad.
A5 has both options and they are both valid to a certain margin, and that's just annoying when you can't kill a guy even if he commits to going up with you for a while, and then the guy just outruns you.
Now I never could make this plane work and I know some people can, so really it's probably a skill issue but those are my thoughts on this plane.
I like the c2 B, almost spaded it over the years, but i rarely play it, just because matchmaking is a pain. At least its sometimes pretty viable in sqb´s

love it
night belt is better. consists of one shell type with 90g tnt equivalent. its flying 25m/s faster than the normal shells, and the tracers are less visible. the stealth belts have ~10g more tnt but deal less spall damge (protection analysis). just use night, thats the best belt
Edit: night belt now flies just as fast as the other shells and self destructs after 3 seconds or so. Not that youre oing to hit at that distance anyways. Still the best belt in my eyes.

Ive given up on german 262 on c1a, i thought getting the booster upgrade from a1a ends their suffering, it doesnt..

Existens in the tier 5 German three is suffering.
Ironically the only German WW2 jet that didn't get obsolete with the years is the Me 163 lol. All the others could enjoy a 0.3 downtier right now and things wouldn't change that much. Only exceptions to this would be the Ar-234C and He-162 (6.0 is low enough, in my opinion it could even work at 6.3)
It's rather sad to see this because I remember a video made by Adam the engineered a few years ago where he was abel to loop and energy trap everyone.

it's got great grinding and money multipliers, but you mostly get full uptiers and everyone just runs away from you plus server registry are shit lately so you're gonna get a hit instead of a kill more often than what you would like. It however clubs subsonic aircraft

Can you do another video on the f 80 a5? Maybe showcase it to a wider audience so my shitty f 84 teammates hopefully get inspired to use a better plane. I really like the f 80 but it feels nearly unplayable when I'm left in a 1v6 within 5 minutes into the match nearly every game. Maybe I'm doing something wrong since i mainly play props but i doubt it since it's the only plane i have such a bad winrate in.

Because it's also an attacker and it gets air spawn it means it will also reach the enemies before everything else, which means with the dogshit us players the team gets run down way faster. I've played enough to know it's inferior to the f 80 in almost every way. But if you have nothing new to bring to the table, besides "f 84 aint shitty" im sure you're part of the majority who plays it with a horribly negative kd in it XD.

The thing bleeds speed like crazy, it's only slightly faster than other jets at its br and all you have to do to counter one is go up. It's a cuck plane that can only go in straight lines and steal kills from people that are busy fighting. Maybe having 2 or 3 of them on the team would actually benefit everyone if they played it right but that's usually not the case. Most of the people who play it are the same ones that swear that the p51s are good planes and proceed to turn fight in them. But please tell me how you make it work without a team. Or do u just run from everything and think it's so amazing because people can't catch you?
@@Bobspineable i have. I dont understand it. F80 is a better fighter in almost every way. Just not top speed. Its still fast enough to be competitive, it turns pretty good and keeps energy super well. Meanwhile that horrible thing loses all its energy in one loop and all u can do is play it like a cuck and extend from most fights. But us players will turn and try to dogfight with absolutely everything because they don't know better. My point is just that the f80 is a way more forgiving plane for players like that and i feel that us wouldn't struggle as much at that br if people just used the plane better suited for them. Sure the f84 is fast and gets an air spawn, but in the hands of your typical player it just means they die quicker. So many of the same plane in a team doesn't do much good anyways. They're a plague like the ju 288 almost.
The only things the original Meteor had on the 262 were better range and more reliable engines. The 262 was faster in level flight and in a climb, enjoyed better visibility, and was more stable at speed (lower critical Mach number). The up-engined F.4 was much improved and able to outrun and outclimb any 262, but it also benefited from two extra years of development, so that's hardly a fair comparison.
The Meteor didn't really hit its stride until the F.8, which was the definitive version. Its performance was vastly superior to the original F.1, but it didn't become operational until 1950 ... when it was already no match for the F-86 or Mig-15.
Point is, please don't judge planes based on this game. Gaijin tweaks performance and stats based on matchmaking and sales, not on realism. Half the shit in the game didn't get beyond the prototype stage, and most of those (like the Kikka or Su-11), were total shitbirds that Gaijin has somehow made into powerhouses.

7.3 at best current 7.3 to 7.0 7.0 to 6.7 and the 6.7 to 6.3 then its way more balanced as most fighters at the same brs even the 7.0 262 are 300 kph faster and the fighters that should be 150mph slower they are faster cuz gaijin cant seem to fix it

This is just one of 1000 reasons why the game really starts to fall apart after 5.7 for tanks and planes. I'm f@cking tired of prioritizing que times over balancing. Also starts to feel like arcade, jet's pulling 12+ Gs, the wonkiness of fighting the rudder while rolling, missiles etc. I don't know how players find the "assistance" elements of the game fun. Feels anything but "realistic"

If I want to do arcade style gameplay I can just play Ace Combat. But as far as I know War Thunder is the only game that has a sort of "in between" mode with RB. That's the reason I still play it. I'm not actually all that interested in full sim combat.
